Kai, Taemin and Ten take dance on whole another level. Lot of people are able to dance but not so many are able to create art while dancing. I always considered these 3 as, not only kpop's best dancers, but one of the best dancers in the world. Whole video was absolutely gorgeous.
The range of expressions your face went through watching Ten was very similar to mine! Lol! It was a beautiful piece. Then Taemin making everything tense and on edge. I felt I could finally breathe when Kai showed up! Kai and his beautiful, lyrical movement. So gorgeous.
OMG, Taemin's section killed me. I don't think I breathed once while I was watching him the first time I saw it. His popping was so powerful it felt like each pop was punching me in the gut. And that body control at the end, thank you so much for highlighting it, because it is insane! That is my favorite bit from his part. I've never really seen him dance like this before either, and I really hope he does more of this style with SuperM, because it is so different and so exciting to see! He seriously is a dancing god, just on another tier completely.
Ten was so graceful and so clean, his body movements were beautiful and sharp. Kai was so beautiful too. I've never really seen much of Kai before except for the aggressive, sexy style dances like "Love Shot" and "Ko Ko Bop", so his section surprised me. He can be a lot more graceful and soft than I expected. This has got to be the best dancing lineup in K-pop. I can't wait until their debut!
Taemin's solo is basically him being the forbidden apple and/or Lucifer (fitting that SHINee has a song called Lucifer isn't it) it's apparent if you read the lyrics to his latest release WANT in the MV he even dances in front of a structure which is an art piece called "The gates Of Hell"
Those moves are why Taemin is usually considered by all other idols as the best dancer in kpop. He's the leader of the squad that features two of kpops other best dancers (Kai and Jimin) for a reason. I love watching him move!
Jimin? Idols actually choose Taemin as the best dancer, Kai came second, and Ten third.
@@SMILE-mx9hp Jimin has been on the list since forever. He may not be in the the year you checked but he has always been considered a great dancer. In fact in a 2018 version of the list he is tied third with Taemin so it changes over time and which list you look at. The point was other Idols have respected Jimin's dancing and his love of dance is how he, Taemin and Kai are friends and part of the Squad.

Kai's ability to dance with sharp yet fluid movements at the same time is stunning! The way the lighting and camerawork complimented the choreo was really nice, as well.
Ten's ability to pick up and blend different styles really gives his movements a unique feel.
Excited to see more from these talented men.
That was impressive, the way they danced it was pure art. First Ten was so precise and elegant with each move and his eyes OMG he looks so beautiful with lenses, Taemin was super expressive with each move and I could feel his dark side by watching his dancing(it was totally different dance style than what I've seen before from him - impressive), when Kai started to dance I was impressed and my heart started to beat so fast OMG really because I felt it was intense and he really could express his feelings through his dancing I was mesmerised by him really and Kai looked in the most beautiful way since I know him but also very sinister at the end like something bad will happen! These 3: Kai, Taemin and Ten are more than dancers, they can do dancing to look like art on another level or to look like is from another world this is my opinion. I just don't know how they can move like that.

Your facial expressions in this video were golden! This group is going to give me a heart attack. It has not only my ultimate bias, but my bias from 4 different groups together. I love how different all the dances were. Shoot me now.
My mind has been going crazy with theories. Like I've been thinking that the dead flower Ten picks up in his trailer looks like the flower Taemin drops at the beginning of his MV for Press Your Number only now maybe it's dead because it's been three years since that video. As you can tell, I've been thinking about this way too much. lol
Oh and Taemin points a gun at himself at one point in that video too.
Lol your face journey though. Honestly, same. Ten, Taemin, and Kai are all my biases in their respective groups, pray for me.
You should definitely react to some Taemin solo songs, Ten's solo song "New Heroes" and NCT songs, you can get an idea of all the members you don't know like that!!!
Ten did ballet when he was younger and I think he's very much interested in different dance styles. He's an all rounder that one

When Taemin and Kai cross(?) /interact, there's a blue light and they sort of look back at each other. I think it can mean something because with Ten that didn't happen
I think that's why Ten is even more impressive to me. He grew up with b-boying and hip-hop dance but he tried a lot of other styles himself. He said he wanted to try jazz and here he danced to jazz. He's like a sponge ready to take in everything and make it his own. Can't wait to see him evolve more in SuperM because he hasn't been performing that much (due to surgery and SM being a b*tch)

This performance is very meaningful to both me and Kai. We had very limited time to create this piece while we were on tour and the situation was pretty bad. However, as you guys watch this, we did it again. It’s already over a decade since I trained Kai for the first time when he was only 15. We’ve been created so many performance together for the past years like deep breath and I see you etc. but this one..means quite a lot to me.
I’ve been suffering from creating new things for the artists as time goes by and recently, it just ended up to the peak and I felt so pressured by no one but myself.
This performance ‘door’ is named by me. I want myself and Kai to get over the past and move further together. I want us to break the limit that we are facing now. I hope this performance would lead us to the new world. I just want to open the door and move on.

Not to be that person but Ten’s part was my favorite, even the song, he’s singing it, he is such a diverse dancer that everything he does feels new! This whole thing was iconic 3 of the most amazing dancers you can ever watch!!

From their introduction and this performance I got the feeling that Taemin is also controlled by a dream or paralel version of himself and he is also trying to fight it.. Alternative Taemin's got control over Ten also Baekhyun is captured but not yet in that alternate reality.. Kai is the only one that doesn't get affected by all this and he is aware of the alternate reality thing and he is trying to rescue Baekhyun and also stop evil Taemin.. Lucas, Mark and Taeyong seems like they are confused and can't be sure what is real or not and both Kai and Taemin tries to get to them first.. but from the introduction I had the idea that they are with Kai at the moment and not yet fell into alternate Taemin's trap.. yeah so I come up with quite a story in my head which might not be accurate at all 😃 but at the dance performance one Taemin looked like he was being controlled like a puppet maybe it was the other way around that he was pulling the strings idk 😃
When you said you didn't know Ten could do contemporary, neither did he! He hasn't been trained in it, and that Lovely dance was his first time even trying it. He and his groupmate Winwin (who also didn't know contemporary, but trained in traditional Chinese dance) choreographed it themselves, just based off of what they felt looked good and portrayed their message. If you ever want to check out their process, the rainbow v episodes show all of it (especially episode 3 for them)

*SOME FOOD FOR THOUGHT ON THEORY* NCT’s concept (it doesn’t get shown through mv’s overtly but they have lots of teaser/extra clips which mention it) is also very connected to dreams and dreaming and sharing dreams, which is interesting that it seems to be including the individual groups concepts

I’ll maybe comeback later after doing some research and I’ll either link it here or maybe to you on twitter if I can find the specific videos from nct’s dream lab/empathy concept that might be cool for you to have a look at (hardly any of it has music spoilers if I remember correctly) if it actually does have any tie in to this concept
Taemin and Kai's personalities are almost identical. That is why they are best friends. When on stage they both can turn their fierce, sexy, sensual side up to 3000 and they become the most powerful and magnificent performers that command the stage. But the minute they step off the stage they become quiet and shy and they blush when people compliment them for their looks or performance. They are the youngest/ almost youngest members in their groups. Taemin in particular is known for being sort of innocent and kind of naive and a little ditsy as only the makenae of a group can get away with -- he is 2 to 4 years younger than the rest of the SHINee members and he plays up being the baby when he is around them and they pretty much will do anything he asks. He knows how to be cute when he wants something, but he hates it when someone asks him to be cute. LOL. Taemin and Kai also were in the same trainee program together and went to school together after they joined SM. Kai and Taemin became trainees when they were around 12 years old. However, Taemin debuted about 5 years before Kai. So even though they are friends from the same generation, Taemin is considered Kai's senior.
Kai and Taemin are so much alike in looks, same age group, dancing skills, background, family dynamics,. personality, etc. that they are often known as twins -- they even have some of the same nicknames. (You really should see some of their pictures together when they were younger you would be surprised how much they look alike.) As you know, as a member of EXO, Baeknyun has the power to control light and Kai has the power of teleportation, so those powers are nothing new for them. However, the concept of superpowers is new for all the other members It is said that the concept for SuperM is supposed to be like the Avengers so I see it as each of the members are a different kind of superhero that make up the larger "Avengers" group just like how the real Avenger members come together from all walks of life with all different abilities and powers, etc. to make up one big super group. So I think because Kai and Baekhyun are part of the group, at least their part of the concept is tied in to EXOs storyline. I think maybe SuperM are supposed to be coming together to fight the Red Force and to prevent or stop them from corrupting and taking over the world, etc. But whatever SuperM's storyline ends up being, I think its all folded into EXO's larger concept and storyline, because as members of EXO, everything Kai and Baekhyun does ties back into EXO's story somehow.
And although NCT and SHINee don't have a backstory that has anything to do with being Superheroes in the same way as EXO does, I find it interesting that NCT and WayV have recently came out with songs called "Superhuman" and "Take Off" which both have sort of superhero type themes in their MVs, and one of Ten's solo songs was called "New Heroes". It makes me wonder if this was all part of SM's plan in preparation for the creation of SuperM. And what I know about SM, it wouldn't surprise me if this is something they have had in the works for a really long time and they probably have been creating ways to foreshadow things to come in SuperM that create connections between the members and their original groups. One thing SM has mastered since the creation of EXO is how to tell a story and how to create a mystery that connects even the most minute details together to build an epic adventure for fans.
Also, something to note is that SHINee's fan color is aqua blue/ green and NCT's color is green and -- although EXO's fan color isn't red -- red plays a big part in Exo's storyline (representing the Red Force). So that might explain some of the colors we are seeing in these videos. One reason for the different colors might be a reference to those colors foreshadowing something within the story and it also might be a nod to their groups, etc
thanks for the background on Taemin & Kai. I knew they were friends and greatly enjoy this opportunity to actually WORK together which is another reason why I think people presuming the members were FORCED into this are off the mark.
I have only learned about Kai & Backhyun's powers through the teasers, but as a fan of NCT I knew ALL about Superhuman.
NCT is known for pulling out the stops in their MVs but SuperHuman is a Kpop masterpiece, The MV is simply stunning People are blown away by the sheer SCALE and detail and...expense of Superhuman. One wondered AT THE TIME why SM had made SUCH a big production out of it...The Live performance is equally catchy with its heroic "comic book" choreography. And yeah it DID seem even at the time like there was...something more to this MV...like it was the Final Count Down for The Really Big Show.
Superhuman was released in conjunction with NCT's US leg of their world tour last summer and it now seems like NO ACCIDENT that NCT 127 had been signed...by Capitol for that tour. A taste of the song was teased on the morning shows as NCT127 hit the states and it got what I think is still it's BEST live performance on Jame's Corden who loves good tunes and has an excellent venue for capturing Kpop. It has been performed ALL over the world since then, NCT 127 have made quite a few festival appearances in the past months and most recently when NCT 127 was featured in the MASSIVE Live Central Park Concert (and TH-cam live stream) reaching 80,000 "World Citizens" and sharing a bill with legends & headliners including...Adam Lambert & Queen.
That was the WEEK before the Capitol launch of SuperM...in hollywood.
And once again, the SCALE of the SuperM role out dawned on me cause this seemingly random appearance and performance in NYC of "SuperHuman" along with NCTs ENGLISH version of "Highway to Heaven" struck me as NCT 127 with Mark & Taeyong at the helm being the Coast to Coast Warm Up band for that shindig in Hollywood...seven days later.
@@cyninshadows7041 Yep, I know right. :D SM always goes big; and when you really think about it, everything leading up to SuperM's debut was probably done to prepare for these legends to all come together and begin connecting their storylines as part of SuperM's backstory.
@@milindawilson9175 Taemin talks so softly that people might not have paid attention when he said in the live chat that THIS project had been in the works for a...long time....and it would not surprise me if he had a hand in it.

I'm petty sure they all had a hand in it at some point, some more than others, but its not like SM just springs these things on their artists, they plan it out for years in advance most of the time and its meant to surprise fans. That's why I said SM has become good at it. :D

taemin is the best dancer in kpop. and its completely unfair how much the exo fans and nct fans are underestimating him during the super m promotions. this is why i dislike new fans. they don't really research. i hope you do taemin dance practices, and live stages. you really need to do alot of them at least, to really fully see. please and thank you. :( trust me on this. he's a god of performance. all of shinee are. i'm just so tired of people looking down on them just because their faves got more international exposure, or are 'more popular'.

NCT has a dream concept, I don’t know the depth of NCT members abilities in their concept though.

@@saywhatreacts It is Yoojin in some parts Ten in others. The "chorus" or whatever singing "ten on the floor" is Ten's voice. Ten also scats at 0:15 and at 0:25 to 0:32!! But the rest everyone agrees is Yoojin

if you like ten in this video, you should definitely watch the one that him and winwin (another nct member) choreographed themselves. it's a really powerful contemporary/modern dance choreography, with a bit of chinese traditional dance as well. it's just breathtaking.

Not taking a thing away from Ten Taemin & Kai who are clearly superb soloist and proving it here. The theater involved between them is also great fun. This certainly sets our expectations for these three members of SuperM

At first I assumed, as you do here, he was left off BECAUSE Taeyong would be featured with his NCT Rappers, Mark & Lucas & sometimes Ten in...another video...to follow this one. We now know that...never happened.
I am ALL in favor of SuperM and I have been totally supportive but if I have any reservation about SuperM at all...

In HIS teaser, Taeyong (who makes no pretense to want to ACT) plays out a high concept where he casually
points the barrel of a gun at his exquisite face while many...others of him...look on--a baffling unresolved and deeply disturbing scenario (given recent kpop tragedies). We frown & shrug and let (was that a cry for help?)...pass.
There is NO Second performance video to FEATURE Taeyong's Mark's & Lucas' excellent moves & MAD Rap Skills
(and no feature of Baekhyn's vocals either although pretty much ALL of Kpop knows...what Baekyun does)
Then, in the GROUP trailer, they quite literally have Taeyong DOWN ON HIS KNEES virtually nailed to the floor
unable to DO anything but toss his electric blue hair, shock us with his face and...flex...his infamous pumping veins...for us...Is that really ALL they want SuperM fans to expect? Taeyong's Superpower is to "shook" us?
Lastly...in the Jopping MV with ALL its pyrotechnics & SuperPowers on display. Kpop Avengers are leaping from helicopters, hopping into tanks, donning cyber armor and teleporting into the dessert...Meanwhile, back on The Street, admittedly kool Mark & Taeyong are confined to fast cars that get more screen time than they do. Ten gets a break, Lucas grabs some jumbotron & Mark pops off the hippest lines of the english lyrics. But Taeyong's raps are muted and cut away from as we get ONE glance as THAT face. And before new fans can even pause the video to ask "who is THAT guy?" it cuts to Mark over Taeyong's last line and/or (did that even happen??) they roll up his window on him.

Taeyong IS arguably the MOST Beautiful Creature in KPop but in Jopping WHERE is his SHOCK of electric blue hair? Where is his heaped on haute couture? Where is his breathtaking BODY under that shapeless jacket, where IS his BEAUTY & BLING (also his newly exposed tummy) where...tell me where...is Taeyong's absolutely thrilling...dancing?.
We have yet to see...No Manners...the SuperM song that like his self penned Long Flight has HIS hands...on it.
the SuperM song & we presume dance that MAY finally shows off TAEYONG'S many talents in...good light.
Again...taking NOTHING from Kai & Taemin & Ten. I don't need to diminish their formidable skill & power to elevate Taeyong's unique art.
Because Taeyong is not LIKE them. He is a GREAT dance...stylist...a MAIN corps dancer and one of the MOST admired freestylers in all of kpop. Noting that freestyle is spontaneous and every note in the song must be addressed with a matching move, Taeyong's choreo is his OWN...each step chosen AS he takes it. And Taeyong does this form of DIFFICULT dance with such effortless flow that Other dancers react to praise envy and STUDY Taeyong's freestyles.
(one has to HOPE that...envy...is not the operative word for Taeyong's absence of moments in SuperM...so far)
So please...since he was slighted in Dubai and has not had his moments in America...yet.
at least can we give Taeyong a rainy street...at night...in traffic...in Moscow?
