I bought this one for $50 with a cracked screen. It works well as a second PC, down in the basement with another monitor and I added 8 more ram and took out the hard drive and replaced it with a 500gb SSD. My World of Warships and No Man's Sky rock. The basement is nice and cool and I watch Toasty Bros almost everyday on it.
Bought an all in one PC for my dad around 8 years ago as his first PC which he still uses to this day for email and web browsing. Went with an AIO for the space savings and the slight simplification of operation (i.e. not explaining why there's 2 power buttons)
I use an Acer All In One, it's an 12th Gen Intel Core i3-1215U. Believe it or not, it's pretty decent and I do quite a bit on it as well. I generally use it for gaming, video editing, as well as everyday tasks. Takes up less space, and gaming on it is actually pretty decent (for my standards, at least). I can run Xbox Series X/S (Xbox PC Game Pass) and Steam games on it with pretty decent framerates (between 60 to 100 fps) using medium to high settings with a 1920x1080 screen res. I installed 2 16 GB DDR4 (32 GB total) when I first got it, originally had only 8GB. Have an intel Arc GPU in it, and lately Intel's updated drivers have really upgraded the performance of the integrated GPU. My daughter is usually always on the Xbox (series X), so I wanted my own gaming "rig" so I can play while she plays on the series X.
My son actually has a MSI all in one. he was getting into Minecraft. So I bought him one to play Minecraft on. After about a month he realized how much better it looks and runs on my PC. So now he never uses his, and constantly is on mine. Currently in the process of building him his first actual Pc.

My father actually bought a very similar All - In - One Computer like this one, he uses it for work and stuff like that. He just wanted a computer for his work, but he wanted something less bulkier than a regular full - on desktop PC.
We bought one for my son as is first computer when he was 9. used it for school work. Built him a gaming pc two years ago for his 11th birthday. The all in one has been retired to a garage pc. Just used for TH-cam how to videos and shop manuals
To be honest I would buy this for anyone who doesn't need or don't have space PC and monitor or mobility of laptop. All-in-one also gives you bigger screen than laptop. I can't imagine someone carrying around 24inch laptop but it's common to find all-in-on in 21-24inch sizes. Remember a lot of people are buying iMacs which is also all-in-one PC and this is just cheaper version running windows.
My first computer was an all-in-one. It was a different time. 1994. I loved that computer. LOLz. It came out a few months before Windows 95 and I was so upset that I had Windows 3.1 Tabs.
Definitely now my future PC since the current one I had just broke for no apparent reason and I’m 100% getting one of those all in one pc if it has a WebCam and microphone And speakers that doesn’t sound that bad I am in
I just repaired one of these for a co worker, so odd for hp to put in a disk drive that prone to fail which what it did happen and they were gonna toss it in the trash and i offer to fix it. Gave it a 500gb sata ssd and 32gb of ram and it ran much better than it had previously according to the owner , the screen is very clear and being touch screen is a plus
I got a 2012 sony all in one for £0 two years ago. It’s not a beast (i7-2670QM & GT 540M) but the 24inch 1080p 3d touchscreen is awesome. It has hdmi in so I can hook up anything to it. A quick ssd, ram & wifi upgrade and it’s a great backup pc and old games machine. I have it on a swivel mount so I can rotate it 90 degrees to play pinball games on it and for work it’s my monitor during the day.
The side USB is nice, I have a slightly older version in black, and all four USBs are on the back which is less convenient. I bought it to replace my higher power home built tower PC. My old monitor had died and I no longer needed heavy duty graphics processing or all the old obsolete interface PCI cards. This PC is perfectly adequate for routine home office tasks and playing my antique sims like Grand Prix Legends and Warbirds. For serious gaming I use an XBOX. The only issue I have run in to is that the 256G SSD drive is almost full with Windows and my many apps, and all the other data is stored in the magnetic drive. I am planning to swap in a bigger SSD since they have now become quite reasonable.
i bought a 4th gen intel dell AIO , one at a pawn shop for $60 because it had a bios password and could not boot a simple bios reset and it is still being used by my grandmother for all of her digital communications
I use an all in one, a Dell Inspiron 5490 that I got in 2020. I chose it because I don't have much space, like having touchscreen, and although it's not the greatest at gaming it's better than with a laptop (from my experience).

I bought 1 on sale recently. 1st time having a AIO mine is HP but AMD Radeon and Athlon gold was selling for $550 And I got mine $430 brand new I just wish I had $100 more for better spec unit but I do enjoy this as my literal all in one entertainment.
tbh, it's actually a tad bit more expensive than the HP Victus 15, which is 10$ cheaper but will get you i5 12450H and GTX 1650, which is no other laptops can have
I think they absolutely need to be around for older people that want simplicity or college students wanting to be hip iMac for college or this pc for someone like my parents to look at email or other things with little to no clutter and just works.
Nice. these all in ones are for places like Salons, Post offices, even restaurants can use the touch screen feature for their point of service systems and even self service menus.. removing the legs and mounting it to a wall or podium can be used as an interactive screen in museums or schools.
I bought two Lenovo AIOs for my kids before I knew how to build computers. Big mistake. In theory you can use the monitor with another PC, but it's not completely smooth. Lesson learned.
My office pc is an all in one because it's less wiring and bulk.. works the same as most tower/monitor pc's but my gaming pc is a $1300 tower with (still a sgl. screen) monitor.
I think these all-in-one designs are good for better thermal-design alternatives to certain bad laptop designs. It's basically just a laptop anyways.. it's got a CMOS battery of its own, and it plugs into the wall.. that's the only difference. Useful, but not extremely upgradable unfortunately.
