Augurey is a bird mentioned in the book Fantastic Beasts and where to find them. Augureys sing before rain if I recall correctly. So their song is basically a weather forecast. 😄
They were believed to sing before death; someone (Uric the Oddball probably, the one with the jellyfish hat, I think not the guy on the card but I canʼt easily check right now) slept in a room full of them during what turned out to be a really thundery week, then because of all the augury cries was convinced he must be dead by the end of the week, got up, and tried to walk through a wall.
22:51 I have played most 'Classic' Harry Potter games (most of them many times and to full completion/100%), i.e. the different games on the various platforms, but not Quidditch World Cup. I like Quidditch but I was never that interested in it to actually play a game that solely focuses on it (I need more from a video game). 23:20 Well, it's about a Quidditch referee (someone like Madame Hooch) dying/getting murdered instead of a player. Quidditch is a brutal game, but I can see why a referee dying is really rare/he was the only one. It is believed that someone in the stands murdered him, maybe it was an assassination attempt that had nothing to do with him being a Quidditch referee? In any case, it's very tragic :( 24:17 Newt Scamander has/cares for an Augurey (or Irish Phoenix) called Patrick in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
23:20 Interesting difference to note between Chamber of Secrets and Prisoner of Azkaban games regarding poor Cyprian here, one mentions him dying, the other him being killed. 24:17 Never realized that's an Augurey, cheers for confirming!
Yes, the Extended Mod improved the Parseltongue somewhat, making it sound like in the movies, as opposed to what's in the Retail versions of the game (both US and EU)
Time to go to sleep with good Zelgadis gameplay!

An augur is also someone who interprets signs and omens so that adds to the foretelling of rain

In my copy of the game, we hear the “Leave me alone!” as Harry does, in English. I donʼt know if thatʼs an extended mod difference or a US difference
