    Hi Beautiful Friends,
    In today's video I show you how to make a DIY overhead camera rig for under $30. This is a great setup for capturing flat lay photos for Instagram, or doing overhead video shots, like I use for my bullet journal set or cash envelope stuffing.
    I couldn't find something I liked that didn't cost a lot, so I decided to make my own from PVC pipes. You can adjust the size easily to suit your needs, but here is a list of what you with need to make mine:
    ❖1/2" PVC pipe
    2 pieces 20" long
    2 pieces 15" long
    4 pieces 10" long
    ❖ 2 T's (for 1/2" pipe)
    ❖ 2 elbows (for 1/2" pipe)
    ❖ 1 connector (for 1/2" pipe)
    ❖ Grifiti Nootle Quick Release Pipe Clamp with 1/4 20 Threaded Head for Cameras: amzn.to/2GA9Eq8
    Enjoy this easy DIY project and let me know in the comments how yours turns out!

    This is how I made mine too. It’s nice because if you choose not to glue it, you can just take it down and store it in no space at all. And you can get similar clamp mounts for phones too, so that you can shoot from multiple angles.

      Make It Kate great idea about not gluing it!! It is a little bulky to store so that would have been a a great option.

      Make It Kate does it not move around without the glue? i might just make it then!

      @@riizevity they are quite tight even without the glue. The main purpose of the glue is to avoid the pipes bursting at the joints due to pressure when there's no water flow - when use as water pipes, that is...

    Great stuff. I really need this. I am going to try it for a I-Phone Plus otherwise I will have to buy a SLR camera (Big bucks).
    Can you make you tube video/photo’s, or a movie, cooking demo, craft, art, demo’s? Bo

      You can adapt this idea for whatever you need. It works for iPhones too with the proper holder connected on top.

    Hmm, I wouldn't have glued them, weren't they stiff enough just dry fitted? That way it could have been broken down.

    My iPhone has a thick case and then I have one of those lil debit card holders on it as well. Do you think the clamp piece will open wide enough to hold it?

    • @afaithfilledlife
      @afaithfilledlife  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it should work as long as you have an adaptor that holds a phone.

    Very nice and for only $30! May I ask what type of camera you use? I'm consistently doing tutorials and trying to find a good camera instead of my phone.

    The 2ft ones have more stability because there a lot shorter. You could of just cut a big one down and it would be the same.

    Hi what did you use for that wood background? Was that a photography backdrop? Also, do you know what phone adaptor would work to hold an iphone?

    • @afaithfilledlife
      @afaithfilledlife  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is a photography background. I made it with some contact paper on a large poster.
      For iPhone attachment, there are a ton of choices that have the screw in type holder. Anything that would fit on a tripod would also work in conjunction with the adaptor mentioned in the video. Something like this: amzn.to/30osCrX

    gonna try it. Will likely dry fit the last elbow piece and mark it. Don't trust myself not to mess up!

    I’m going to give this a shot, filming my piano keys has been a nightmare, but this method is so much better on a budget.

    As your overhead piece COULD YOU Glue the elbows THEN CENTER Cut? Or leave them adjustable?

    • @afaithfilledlife
      @afaithfilledlife  ปีที่แล้ว

      You could glue only parts and leave others adjustable. Up to you!

      I'm using mine with a smart phone...you just have to by the smart phone adapter to attach to the quick release clamp.

    • @afaithfilledlife
      @afaithfilledlife  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. Just need the right adaptor.
