@ Yeah, that’s just how it goes. Tame Impala was my favorite band for years until the third album, Currents. It’s the most popular one, but I think it sucks lol. Imagine how many people were mad when the Beatles went from writing old love songs to psychedelic drones. Still, this might be my new favorite song of theirs.

The entire album... just absolute power/dream pop perfection. This is, without a doubt, one of those VERY rare, seminal/hallmark albums of the genre from the last 50 years. I've been listening to it non-stop since Friday. A simply beautiful achievement. Melodies flying all throughout my head on repeat... THIS ALBUM !!
Holy shit the layering and mixing of this track is fucking phenomenal. Synths sound so beautifully ethereal, I adore the drum mixing in this, especially towards the end, whatever they used to create that cymbal sound is crazy, almost sounds like static but I love it, harmonies are great as always. Can't wait for the album!

"Archie, marry me" was the first song of this amazing band that I heard back in 2015. All of a sudden after many years, I remembered the song last week when I was feeling nostalgic for that era lol. Both of their new tracks are great and I'm glad they're always experimenting!
This is just such a cool video. And the production of this song is really something, the vocal effects and different…technology(?) sounds layered overtop, just fantastic. For a band with such a uniquely identifiable sound, they’ve made a big departure here, and it’s really enjoyable.
Best track out of the four so far - memorable melody, great chord progressions, peculiar synths and novel audio processing. I would love to see what had gone on behind the scenes for this video.
@@kijetesantakaluSokete Cassettes are completely pointless: there are no cassette decks to play them aside of some crappy Chinese boxes that use the same low-end mechanism. A record player is a much simpler device.

Probably my favorite track in the entire album. It's like a Still Corners song in an Alvvays album, with nonsensical and barely understandable lyrics but such a moody melody. Gimme more.
Seems to be a Texas Instrument TI-99a in the background One of the computer I wish my parents might buy back in the days, when using the family' Sinclair ZX-81 !
Yeah, black and silver with the slot for a cartridge to the right of the keyboard. Definitely a very pixelated TI-99 4/a in the video. I've got one right next to me in fact.
Saw Alvvays for the first time last Monday night at Red Rocks when they opened for The War on Drugs. Liked them a lot before seeing them live, but now I am hooked. Plan on seeing them at The Orange Peel in November. Good times!
One of the most enjoyable new song experiences I've had in a while, the timing of the lyrics, the effects, the collapsing and colliding waves of sound. Brilliance!
this gives me memories of when my parents would play this in the car(the first album as well as antisocialites when it came out), while I was just falling asleep while the sun was setting and the car was warm and toasty. Ty Alvvays
This band writes some of the most masterful bridges. You know one's coming, but you have no idea where it's going to take you.
Exactly this
Still miss what to me is their best song, Dreams Tonite.
This made me pay attention and you're very right!
Love them

1:21 the bridge on this is absolutely amazing
It really shows off Molly's vocal range, like damn
Yeah fr it is!
I love how Alvvays has started becoming more experimental because they're so good at it.
Yes. Please pass the 'shrooms.
I don't like that, i prefer the old sound.

So cool! Your English is great! I am half-Japanese and it makes me happy to hear that there are Japanese who like this band too. www
this track is a liminal space, like an empty supermall at midnight. i can't resist going back time and again.

It's cool to see one of my favorite bands write a song about my best friend, Nick Mullen.

One of the best Canadian groups ever
I talked to them few years ago... in Sackville... small venue... told them i though the were among the best in Canada already...after one album then!
Check out godspeed you black emperor
the BEST
Every single song that has been dropped teasing Blue Rev is convincing me this album will be Alvvays' defining masterpiece.
Hard to top Antisocialites tho. I'm still processing this, but this song and Pomeranian Spinter are among their best songs to me already.
masterpiece confirmed. best record of the year.
Cuando saldrá el nuevo álbum?
Dude I searched "Boys Alvvays Be Boys Memes" and typed the Alvvays cuz my VV keyboard key is broken, then this shovved up:
avvesome
It's just reverb/echo with a lot of overdubs. And I love it lol
