oh my God, how cute Molly Rankin is.
Not sure why, but her music, along with the stuff she does with Alvvays gives me a sense of hopefulness, and nostalgia.

How astounding. I'm really very, very surprised about know that powerful, mesmerizer and psychedelic dream-pop chords and vocals of Alvvays came from the same person who made this mellow, cute and soothe folk-like EP. Reminds me something between of Regina Spektor and Frankie Cosmos. Love this!
It's so weird to hear her without that dreamy filter that she uses for Alvvays. Her voice is still amazing without it.
Do you mean reverb? Her voice is the entire melody at the beginning of Tricky Fellows. This is lovable. Even before her brilliant guitar melodies kick in.

Interesting early effort. It just goes to show how far her writing and singing have advanced. She is now such an accomplished musician. The improved production values of the Alvvays output helps too!
I was so freaking happy whe I found out that chad vangaalen was producing their album, his style is super dope, and it was really useful to the band style.

My fave Alvvays album… and I love Alvvays lol. I just love this more. It's like in between Alvvays and Rankin Family but a bit more towards Alvvays, but with noticeably more Irish influence.
