The Aureus of the same type coin sold for 2.7m£, only couple are known, but it was one and only in such kinda perfect alignment and detail that made it totally worth it for whomever it was sold. Caesar was both famous and notorious for his forgiving of debts. The reason the Ides of March was notable in Roman times was that it marked the date that all debts would come due.
This was often a nightmare for the working class (proletarii) who usually owed money. Luckily for them Caesar also owed a lot A LOT of money so after he came to power the first Ides that rolled around he decreed all debts forgiven which naturally angered the loan sharks who enjoyed playing senator on occasion. Anyways associating killing Caesar on the Ides was symbolic, basically Brutus pandering to the Roman elites saying that he murdered Caesar to avenge their financial losses.

Who goes into a pawnshop expecting top dollar?
If the coin is worth $120,000-$150,000 (at auction, with willing bidders) and the offer is $100,000-$110,000, I think that’s fair. I was shocked when Rick said he was willing to pay $100,000!

If I read right, the Brutus on the coin was meant not to be Marcus Junius Brutus Iunior ("Brutus Jr"), but his ancestor; Lucius Junius Brutus; the founder of the Roman Republic and the first Consul of Rome. In a sense it was meant to clash with Gaius Julius Caeser's coin, which bears the title of DICT PERPETVO ("Perpetual Dictator", lit: "Dictator for life"
