      My trucks suspension has been rebuilt once at 280 k miles. It drives and steers great. I bought the truck new in 2004 and use original replacement parts. Only a steering brace has been added.

    I have personally been to CJC and they were a ton of help. My up grades were PSC box, Thuren, EMF ball joints, OEM pitman arm and t-link. What a huge improvement. All of these up grades are in fact true and worth the money. Thank you guys for all of your input and help.

    Great Video and info. So glad to hear you say a steering stabilizer is needed. So much misinformation on the internet about a tight front end will solve the issue. Newsflash, any brand new vehicle can and will death wobble under the right circumstances and when they do, it destroys front end parts. So the smart thing to do is rebuild the front end and put on the best steering stabilizer set up you can afford and hopefully avoid ever experiencing death wobble. When it happens on the highway at 70+ mph and your truck levitates across lanes and everything inside is suspended in the air you'll wish you spent the $$.

    • @a1racer441
      @a1racer441 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Steering stabilizer does not prevent death wobble or stop it that’s not its job. This kind of info is false and misleading. What prevents death wobble is in fact tight pets like ball joints track bar bushings and steering joints. The steering stabilizer is there to take up shock in the steering system.

      A steering stabilizer will mask death wobble, but you're spot on that it never fixes the root cause. That said, we always recommend having one as it reduces steering feedback and does help protect the rest of the front end parts.

      It's crazy to me, I have 2 3rd gen 5.9s and neither of them have ever had death wobble. Must be some really shitty alignment shops, or terrible maintenance. I also live in the north east with some of the worst roads in the country. Had DW on an old XJ Jeep of mine before, but never on these trucks.

    • @CJCOffRoad
      @CJCOffRoad  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's really just lack of maintenance at the end of the day.

      To be totally honest, we'd say all of the new Ram, GM, and Ford trucks do fine stock, but the front end parts all start failing similarly with off road usage and or larger tires. They just really weren't designed for it, so the aftermarket steps in with better solutions.

      You can actually run the normal 2500 level shocks, but the air specific tuned shocks are waiting on development and production as Carli swaps from Fox to Carli-SPEC.
