I actually like the longer videos every other day, I feel like you put quality time into your content rather than just pumping videos out daily for the sake of it. I find that I skip less through your content because everything you do has a purpose.
We don’t need them daily. I check my TH-cam to see if you uploaded and it makes me happy when you do. Seeing you do deadwood while AI does other monotonous stuff is so nice because we know it’s advancing the farm. Don’t rush into canola. Get a homestead started first. I’d love to see your ideas for the homestead on that land. With Christmas coming I want to wish you a merry Christmas and happy holidays, all the best to you and your family. Keep up the great work and please don’t burn yourself out, We’re not going anywhere especially with this being the best series out.
You’re the first FS25 series I watched and frankly I feel spoiled. I’ve tried watching other series on yt but no one is as interesting to watch. They all are either not as earnest as you or their challenges aren’t as interesting to watch. Thank you for the vids. wishing you much luck! 🍀
That's an amazing series I really do appreciate the fact that you're trying to get the episodes out even quicker I actually stay one episode behind so if I have a bad day I can watch that episode
Man, your content are awesome. I am not a farmer (more like mmo) player but watched every second on each video you released. You said on the start "what the goal and when we will know we are done here". I wish this done will be so far away as possible)
I would, if course, love more frequent vids from you; they make my day! That being said, if you had a regular schedule of uploads, that can be really nice as well, even if it's less frequent. Might help keep you from burning yourself out
Things are looking great, I love the one large field. I think the silage blade with be most beneficial when you are putting the silage in the bunker, it may help compact it and level things out. I agree with you about buying a baler as its a considerable investment for equipment and more work moving bales. Great episode!
I really like using the John Deere C441R Baler (112k). Bales and Wraps, all in one. Then bought a basic flatbed trailer (20k). Loading 28 bales was easy. Then when I could afford it, bought a baler transport Anderson RBM2000 that auto picks it up. Makes silage quick and easy. While it doesnt earn more money, it saves time. Which, time is money so it does earn you more money lol
Great video! I agree with every bit of your decision-making. From my experience, bailing for silage and using a pit is a pick of your poison type of situation. I prefer pit because it's fairly constant movement, and you can speed up the process with proper leveling like you have already been doing. I definitely like the spot you have chosen to make home. My 2 cents would be to work on the homestead for the next year and around planting time, try to buy one of those 2 larger fields in front of the future farm. They will be a bit bigger for current implements, but that's only for one year when you can use more silage profits to upgrade equipment to speed it up. I want the mega field dream to be a reality! Love the series! You really are doing awesome starting off.
Awesome episode again! Well, if you end up posting daily, that would be great! I enjoy all your videos! Even though I've only played a little so far, what I like about this game the most is that you can go about it so many different ways. I'm following your challenge rules, and I've just started, but I'll be going in a bit different directions - one thing being is that I have already been trying to do deadwood contracts, as all I need for them is a bit of time and a handsaw... Anyway, can't wait for your new episode, and finally I can enjoy the game myself, too - at least now I know that it runs pretty decent on the "very high" preset (unfortunately not ultra) on my GTX1070, which I was worried about.
Not yet ready for FS25. I really like 25, but from videos I'm watching it seems as if contracts work closer to FS 19. (On 22, you can finish harvesting, mowing, etc. And collect bonuses. A great way to get started.
In 25, you do get bonuses on harvesting contracts, just like 22. Syrup hasn't been doing harvesting contracts cuz he only does contracts he owns equipment for.. no harvesting equipment means no bonuses for now. That probably won't be too far down the road though!
Glad to see you are coming up with a plan to upload more, I love your longer videos though, please don't cut them less than 40mins, i love watching your content when I get off work. Also I think that is a good idea, to do less contracts a day, that way time moves by faster, and we can get back to working on your farm sooner. Whatever you do, just keep up the good work, you are doing great for someone who just started youtube!
Bite the bullet and get the bailer and wrapper in one. Then and auto loader. Then buy an storage area. And you are all good to go. But it's expensive but worth it in the end. Also with so much area you might want to get the back half of that mower as well.
I think you would be best to tear up the new field asap, grass has multiple growth stages. Even if you only get the first stage cut, it'll be 15 to 20k of silage. Also, u get huge bonuses for fertilizing 2x, don't skip it. And finally, keep the silage pit but fix the xml for the forage wagon, 5% might not sound like much. But now you're making a ton of volume, 5% probably net you 3 to 5k for no additional work.
Thanks for the feedback! I did get the silage additive fixed for the latest harvest. And yeah, didn't mean to skip the second fert stage, just had a brain fart there haha
@@syrupgames Loving the series my man! everyone has an opinion, dont take anything I post to heart. everyone plays different, some like to min max, some like to just have fun. either way Im loving your series and how you play!!
I've changed my stance on the tractor, I like it. You can make most of your money back if you decide to sell it later anyway. That said.. Please buy a larger trailer. With that much silage, it's time for an upgrade. I'd also like to see you build a homestead instead of buying one outright if that's something you'd be up for. Either way, love the content. Keep at it sir!
Haha yeah I should probably get a bigger forage wagon, the next size up is so expensive though, I might have to make due with this one for now... In regards to the homestead, I am definitely going to be building up from scratch! I'm planning on using that empty piece of land next to the grain mill where I've been filling my water tanker. (Field 81 I think)
Im paused at 30:12 and I just want to voice my opinion before continuing. You should pay off your loan completely right now. Then the next time you empty the silage bunker you can either buy the baler and wrapper or buy the 4th field. This way you don't have the loan hanging over you ever again. All money will be pure profit.
Thanks for watching, and I appreciate the feedback! I'm not really worried about the loan though, I will get it paid off eventually, but the interest rate is so low that it's not really a big priority at the moment
Personally I’d sell the Agrostar, the forage wagon, and the silage spreader thing you just bought, and get a baler and wrapper instead of buying a new field. You’re going to want to be baling in the future anyway and it unlocks baling contracts. You do you though
Thanks for the feedback! Is baling really that much better/faster? I haven't really done any baling in a couple years(FS22), but I seem to remember it still being pretty tedious, especially without also having an autoloading trailer... This system is working well enough for me that I'm pretty hesitant to invest more money in the silage system right now, since it would be a pretty big expense to switch to baling, and it wouldn't actually increase my income (other than the opportunity to do baling contracts)
@ oh brother, I don’t even even own FS25 lol. It has been a few years since I’ve done baling myself, I tend to shy away from Silage and Lumber because they almost feel like cheating to me, so maybe I have forgotten how annoying it is to use a baling spike and try to load up a trailer with them. I’m sure an auto loader would cost a butt ton as well. Still though, I think it would be a good idea to start investing in the equipment because it’ll be easier to scale if you have baling equipment. Y’know you were worried that your latest field would be too much to fit in your current silage pit, if you had baling equipment you could buy all the grassland you want and not have to worry. Like I said though, you do you. I’m not sure how big into silage you want to get, if you want to get into animals and TMR eventually or if you just want silage to be a small part of your overall farming empire
Im curious if it would help having the AI start in the middle and skip lines since they dont turn efficently. Will have to try it out when I get back after the holidays. Love the videos and enjoy what you're doing. Keep it up.
Would love to see you get that next Feild and then upgrade the forage wagon to make your silage production fast + silage additive that works. Faster and increase you yield with such a large grass feild.
In regards to having less footage to edit through for each episode, I was wondering if your recording program makes you record it all as a whole chunk, and then you have to manually cut out bits and speed up timelapses? Cuz it if so, you should look into programs that let you pause and start/stop timelapse as you are recording. That means by the time you're done recording, you'd essentially just need to add timelapse music and do a final edit sweep and should be good to go.
Thanks for the tip, I will look into that! I can cut and speed up the timelapses pretty quickly already though, part of the issue is that some of the grind sessions are so long, that even after being sped up, it can still be up to an hour long, so I still need to edit those down quite a bit. Sometimes I ramble on forever too, so editing the dialogue into something coherent often takes the most time lol
Paying off the loan isn't really a huge priority at the moment... The way I see it, paying off the loan and no longer having an interest payment, only really gains me about $300/month, but using that money on other things can provide much higher gains than that. The way the loans work in this game, debt is not really a bad thing, because you can use that money to invest in things that are guaranteed to provide a much higher return than the cost of the loan... (Not financial advice lol)
I am pretty interested as to why you are pretty determined to use the forage wagon for selling, would it not be easier to use a bucket and an open roof trailer
Not without a much bigger loader... That wagon holds 16000l and I can load it in about 3 seconds most of the time. My current bucket can only hold 1000l at a time, so it would take forever to load manually and my tipper trailer isn't much bigger than the forage wagon... I haven't really looked at how big the other buckets are, but I'm somewhat limited by how much my little JD tractor can lift anyway. It would probably take a significant investment to get a loader that would make it any faster than the current set up
@ hey I did some research and found out the RB and Up (directional pad) is how you turn the beacon/marker lights on. Also RB and Left or Right uses the turning signals.
Hiya Canada, gotta say this was a strange episode. 45min video and 20mins+ of talking, camera looking down and twitching. Alot of the same stuff was repeated, contradicted or just made no sense. Your doing good videos, you just might want to review this one

Yup, think bailer is just extra steps. I would rather buy a bigger forage wagon. Just to speed up everything basically. ^^
The series is great and you actually will consistently post

Great series, voting on all 3 tractors!
Allways good to see another episode! Maybe it’s fun to start a own server with crossplay and a discord server?😜
Coming together nicely - well done!

I am actually lookong forward to the end of the year when you get to setting up the home stead. Really curious whatcha gonna do with it
Don't make shorter episodes. You don't need to cut or speed up anything. Your videos are supreme quality.
Thanks for the feedback!
Hello, frequency of episodes is good. Make sure you dont burn out. I would hate to have series end becouse of that
I think that is a new tree growing under the silage pit :)
Ooo another vid right after yeaterday, i like it.

I'll probably do that eventually, but this is working well enough for now, I'm not in a huge rush to get a baler

The silage pits of doom 😂😂

You could also buy field 27 and convert it with you’re other fields but use the top part as a part for you’re homestead closer to the fields then
That is an interesting idea, thanks for the suggestion!
You’ve gotta take some with the trailer then level, rinse and repeat
And I know mentioned it in earlier videos but using a bailer for silage makes it so much better

I like and prefer 45 to 60 minute episodes. Those silly, 25 minute or less, episodes, The viewer gets settled and they're done!
Thanks for the feedback!
What ever you decide to do you killing it buddie
Thanks bro ❤am waiting on the animals
Can't wait to get animals!
@Syrup do you know how to turn on the marker lights on the tractors and other equipment when they are equipped? I’m only console by the way.
I'm not sure, sorry
@ hey I did some research and found out the RB and Up (directional pad) is how you turn the beacon/marker lights on. Also RB and Left or Right uses the turning signals.
Some workers are like that on real farms too lol 😅
try to get the implements matching the speed of new tractor so that work gets done quicker
ALGORITHM
So I got a question how long really take you to make a episode
It depends, some of the episodes have covered over 7 hours of playtime, and I spent at least that long again to edit them...
It's probably time for a new outfit, we're no longer Rags after all!
You cant be a farmer and sell equipment. Every farmer has a yard full of equipment because they might need it again sometime
I would like to see if is posible, baler, wrapper and pickup train. I saw something like that, but I don't know if it was vanilla or mod.
I think that must be a mod, I can't think how that would work with the stock equipment... Would definitely be cool though lol
could you not build another lumber yard?
I might do that still, but I don't really want to expand my productions too much yet, until I set up my proper homestead
🙂
there is mod for bigger silo on the ground and for moving the structures
I have seen those mods, but I'm trying to keep this challenge mostly vanilla...
How many workers can you use at one time plz
I'm not really sure but I've never encountered a limit... 🤷♂️
Ok thankyou I’m going to save and get the game looks fun
I prefeer the baler/wrapper
Thanks for the feedback! What is it you prefer about that method?
4k we are comingg
