The world building in this movie was top notch. Also, the scene where Harry saves his past self and Sirius from the dementors is my favourite scene in all the movies. The choir and music in the background, the majestic light effects of the patronus, the cinematography, chills every time.

I don't know if this was intentional, but during the scene where the dementors are attacking Harry and Sirius, there is a moment when two dementors are doing the kiss on Harry simultaneously, while Sirius only ever has one at a time. This is because Harry has two souls in him (his and part of Voldemort's).

I don't know if it's just me, but whenever I see the scene with Lupin and Harry, where Harry tells Lupin about the memory he chose, I thought this memory of Harry's parents talking to him was from the first film where Harry discovered the mirror of erished, As he clearly says, "I don't even know if it's real." Yeah, I was a movie star for a day. I had my own trailer, was taken around in a golf cart - I loved it! The director is a friend of my girl and he said, 'I've got a part if you want it.' I asked my sons, and they were like, 'Do it!' I did it for my sons. My brief was to be a romantic, bohemian wizard. I was into that.

There's a ton of problems in the movies and the books (as well) as far as underage magic goes. They explain that they can detect underage magic, the spell used, and the location- but not the caster. Harry shouldn't have gotten in trouble for Dobby using a spell in the Dursley's house, as nobody underage used magic. Also, they wouldn't have been able to tell that it was, in fact, Harry that casted a patronus when attacked by dementors. He was however the only wizard living in Little Whinging.

Rowling published the history of the Knight Bus in 2015 (well after the 3rd movie came out), so maybe there was a mix-up with the dates (1865 vs 1856) during production. • @PoeticWhisper
    @PoeticWhisper ปีที่แล้ว +3

So, great video. But I thought I should clear up some stuff you say about the castle around the 26:00 mark.
Firstly, the courtyard fountain is always present from this film forward. This courtyard it sits on is exclusively the clocktower courtyard, and the wooden bridge is unique to it.
The courtyard you confuse it as is the viaduct courtyard, which didn’t exist in PoA. It was added in GoF and stayed until HBP until it was made bigger in DHP2. This courtyard sits in front of the great hall, not the clocktower.
The viaduct courtyard and the clocktower courtyard are two separate courtyards. And both co-exist for the rest of the series. :)

I've always hated how the Boggart classroom lesson was portrayed in this film. First it completely botches Harry's encounter with it, which makes the entire scene nonsensical. Then, it shows Lupin's Boggart as very obviously a full moon, which would make it quite obvious to the whole class that he's a werewolf.

You're channel is awesome Morgan and I love your analysis of franchises I love, but you mentioned something that concerns me a bit. You said most people start making memories at around 2 1/2 years old. Am I an amalgamation if I remember things from before I was 1 year old? I've confirmed the memories with my mother, grandmother, and the rest of my older family members and not a single one of them has ever once lied to me in my life but does confirm that the details I remember from a house I only lived in for 6 months after my birth and also a house we only lived in for 2 weeks after my birth.

I'm sure Nevil has been wearing this under his robes more than a few mornings, throw a robe over it and slip the tie a around the pajama collar and it's better than being late and possibly getting points deducted from your House.

Little Fun fact, the wizard reading Stephen Hawkings's book is Ian Brown, Vocalist of Stone Roses.
Also the set for the shrieking Shack actualy have the second floor hinged to wave back and forth, a detail you can notice in the movie's climax as several things move back and forth inside of it. And throughout the time travel scenes, you can hear a soft ticking noise in the background.
In the credits you can see "Nicholas Flamel" written among the many scribbles that make the walls of the castle in the map (this is seriously my favourite detail from the movie, how the map makes the walls all of scribbled words like ancient text)
And regarding Time Travel, if we cound the.... ugh... Cursed Child as canon... the three different versions of Harry potter (Book, Movie and Play) tackled the three styles of Time Travel:
1 - Actions in the past rewrite the future - Book
2 - Nothing is changed, all is part of an endless loop, also known as the Bootstrap Paradox - Movie
3 - Changes in the Past creates alternate timelines that dont necessarily replace one another - Cursed Child.
And thats actualy the best part of the movie to me, because we see foreshadowing of their time travel and how in fact, they changed nothing, everything was already set in motion, we just saw through different perspectives. Plus it solves the problem "why not solve your issues with time travel?" because in the movie canon, timetravel changes nothing, all is set in stone and timetravels are just part of the one and only event that unfolds.
