Parker's crap talking game is A1 for being the sportsman of the year every year lol
I’ve bowled on his pair in pba stuff. He’s just awesome
Fr
This is weak trash talk at its finest
Its hilarious 😆
PB3 is so wholesome. Every video with him feels like a warm hug. He's so good and so experienced, I can always learn something from him even in a joke game like this. Love the content. Great stuff.
btw, these father son videos are just an absolute gift...met PB3 a couple times and he talked to us the same way he is with his son.. Just a sweet, kind and generous guy.
Agreed, these videos are awesome
Parkers trash talk makes these videos. Love watching the family bowl
Your dad and I are the same age, so I have zero doubts he has bowled on some pretty crappy lanes .They didnt have fancy oil patterns when we were kids and the equipment was different as well..In the house I grew up in, Mens high average was always under 200.Toughest house in the city to bowl in.
It was a nightmare.
Spray the lane with a super soaker and then drag a dust mop over top of it…no lane conditioners lol
The amount of sheer skill PB3 possesses is mindblowing. Bowling that clean on stripped lanes, holy hell.
PB3 is a personal hero of mine. I spent ten years working in the bowling industry… not many truly nice legends left.
This video shows exactly what I miss from the current PBA, shot making.
Been a real long time since I bowled with and/or against Parker (first in Jim Lustig's tournaments then Eastern Regionals). This was great entertainment! Thanks guys.
This was so fun and wholesome. Great bowling PB3. Ive bowled on lanes with virtually no oil and its so hard, even being a one handed low rev bowler, the ball locks up at the arrows and just sits there. Most people who bowl in places where the take good care of the lanes have probably never seen this. Its tough. Apparently not for PB3 though. Absolute legend. Never knew he has the most 300 games.
This is our bowling center condition on every weekend at JSC bowling center, palembang, indonesia.
The management says that because the fun bowler could bowl without their shirt and ball wet with oil.
They also says if we cannot bowl with such condition then we should get a proper coach 😂
Justin. Your dad throws the same as I do since I was 8 years old. His technique makes it easy to adjust for lane conditions. Evary 2 boards on the lane is 1 board on the approach. Us old timers do get it. It really is the geometry we learned in school that we never thought we would ever use.
Justin’s channel, but Parker always feels like the star 😂
Parker Bohn III could literally be a children's storybook narrator - He has that charisma about him, kids would love him.
Ask pops if he remembers back in around 97 he was bowling in a tournament in Erie, PA at Eastway lanes. I was there with my grandma and he signed my bowling pin. LOL doubt he'll remember, but I do. Good memories.
just found this channel and love the energy both of you put up! PB3 showed his class without a doubt. The fact that he nailed the pocket almost every roll shows real experience. Very impressive!
Reminds me of my the times my dad and I used to go bowling. Miss him dearly right now. I wish you both long and healthy lives.
Bowled in the 1970s… 5 man team leagues to end the night at 11:00pm, all the oil was “gone” for the day by the time the league started at 8pm… now that’s real bowling. No two hands, high revs back then. If you could average 185+ in that format… you were a damn good bowler!
I'm with yuh Ed....I started bowling around 1960. I met my wife in a mixed bowling league in NJ back in those days and we married in 1967. I continued bowling in mens leagues till around 1980.
Best league average I ever had was 188, best game 290, and best series 758. My favorite ball was a Don Carter 'Gyro.'
It was a different game back then. Some nights the lanes were impossible.
Yup.. wood lanes, maybe a rubber ball, and a lit cigarette and nice drink waiting for you when you're done your frame. Real bowling indeed!
Love old school, late night leagues…..
This is every week for our league in the UK 😂. The centre just doesn't care to oil, makes it so not fun. Great video guys!!
Parker Bohn the III is one of my all-time favorite bowlers, I learned a lot from his bowling tutorial books that made me the bowler I am today.
I'll never forget when my assistant bowling coach (owner of the lanes) stripped the lanes. He didn't say a word until none of us even approached 150 after three games (high school team). The only people throwing somewhat well adjusted to a house ball and threw straight.
I just remember how tense the air was between everyone on the team and between the coaches. Apparently he didn't communicate that's what he was going to do for practice that day and it set off the head coach.
Candlepin style with a 15 lb ball honestly seems like the best strategy
One of my dad's favorites back in the day. Lefty's rule!! RIP Pops
I loved this vdeo. Can't wait for the next one. Awesome content Justin!
This is the most wholesome trashtalking I've ever heard. I love it!
One of the best games of bowling I ever watched. Y’all are awesome. Lol
Thanks for all your videos!!! You guys are the best!!!!
I'm getting so many bowling videos lol its just fun to watch. Im about to go solo bowl for a while
Love this banter between father and son! ❤
When I was in junior leagues, the mechanic who stripped the lanes forgot to oil them. It used to different machines for oiling and stripping. I was still using a plastic ball and it was still way out of control hooking.
You guys are a riot!!! Loved the video!!
This was a very fun video to watch. Now I know, there really is oil on the old wood lanes that I play on in league. Thanks for the fun video guys!
I really enjoyed this video. Great fun guys!!
Justin, your dad might remember when bowling houses used to use one butter cup of oil in a spray bottle. They would spray lane, mop, and oil held for only a few frames😂
These father and son videos are always fun. 😁
Still remember the first time i met pb3 bowled with him at the 1998 pro am at woodland bowl pretty down to earth person took time to answer a few questions and we even had a little fun lefty to Lefty trash talk fun times for sure
It's always heartwarming to see a father take his son bowling..even when the son has to bowl 2 handed like a toddler.
Loved it !! Thank you for this video, you both did great…well…dad did great..lol lol 🎳🎳🎳🎳
LOVE THIS!!! You guys are great!!
You guys are funny. 😂 PB3 wisecracking the whole way had me with the 6 lb ball!
lol my hand was definitely up for that 5 pin!!! You guys are AWESOME!!!!
My run down bowling alley in the 1970's never had oil on the lanes. I had to bowl back up because I couldn't keep a hook on the lane all the way down to the pins and I still averaged 190 !! (the pins were like sponges as well)
You could hit the pocket flush 10 times, strike 3 times, leave corner pins 4 times and leave 3 splits. When I think about it I should have turned professional- it was the darts equivalent of hitting a treble twenty blindfolded in the dark
Love the banter! Fun video .
That was "so" much fun to watch!
Finally a fun video to watch PB3 has always been one of my favorite pro bowlers to watch and this video sure let's us see OIL or NO OIL
I bowled alot in New jersey when you bowl on end lanes is always different from lanes in the middle of the house , summer time the heat from the outside and the winter time cold coming thur the wall.. bowled alot in north brunswick nj..
“Oh yeahh, Gutter 3 up there”. 😂 Parker with the killshot.
On another note, Parker being able to throw it that straight, on those conditions and make it look good is impressive. 👍
Very fun and instructive.
I used to bowl at a place with old wood lanes where they hadn't been oiled in months (or years?). I bowled 180s averages all the time there with an old rubber ball.
Great video :) Love seeing it with no oil makes me appreciate the little oil we have :)
That was fun watching!
That was so good to see , unfortunately my centre in England is pretty close to this ! I don't bother with reactive , plastics conventional drilling , really makes you stay behind the ball ,if you put a few rev on it ...... 3 off the corner . I find a nice 10lb house ball is the option for the last game normally lol
I’m glad that I throw a straight ball. I might actually beat bowlers I admire. Thank you for your video.
This was freaking hilarious!!!
Nice to see the smack talking from PB3
Bowling with my family in New Jersey one Saturday, we ran into lanes that were just like that. I routinely throw plastic because of my high revs but low ball speed due to age and injuries. My first shot went into the gutter BEFORE THE ARROWS. I was eventually able to throw a 150 game by firing my 10 pin release almost straight at the gutter (I have a really difficult time throwing the ball with NO side turn). It was definitely an eye opening experience.
I don't bowl but once a year, using bowling alley supplied balls, and I didn't realize there were different types of bowling balls made from different materials. Someone I know said that most bowling alley these days use a lot of oil so it's easier to get 300 games and he's had over 20. Is that true, since I think that would encourage recreation bowlers by giving them higher scores?
I remember going to a company event at one of those "Dave & Busters" type places but they had bowling lanes too which my company reserved for us. I brought my gear along and threw my first shot... hooked immediately into the gutter! Threw my next shot. Again, hooked it hard to the left. I thought, wow these lanes are pretty dry, but no one else had been bowling before us all day. The bartender called me over and told me not to even bother with my reactive ball. He noted that they never oiled the lanes for safety reasons (a lot of people getting drunk. slipping and falling). I learned that day that just because a place happens to offer bowling, doesn't mean it's a "real" bowling alley.
Went to playtime bowl last week in Mississauga, ON, and the lanes were completely dry. I came to see friends from the states, brought my own ball, and on my first ball it pretty much did what we saw in the first shot. What did I do? I put away my expensive ball meant to hook, grabbed a perpetually oily house ball and just tried to have fun.
WOW! Great video!
Grew up watching PB3…. Legend
We usually throw in close to 60 games with dozens of people in a near non-oil environment.
I can appreciate oil and can feel even a little oil, so I am very happy to be able to use it.
I am able to practice better than when I practice on lanes with a lot of oil.
I come for the match. I stay for the father & son banter.
I bowled on my usual lanes on very minimal oil, and it was a nightmare. I ended up having to aim for the next lane's pocket in order to even get it to hit the 7 to get a single pin for the throw
Most people have never seen lanes this dry. A lot of houses have a ton of oil. Bowling isn't huge where i'm from so its rare to see good lane conditions. They once told me they haven't been oiled in a week, not bowling on the fresh or the burn but a week. My ball hit the lane and then the left gutter.
When I was a Junior bowler, the lanes I bowled at would strip the lanes on Friday night, and not oil them until after our Saturday morning league. ruined my game. On a side note, around the same time, I crossed with Parker Bohn before the Tucson Open in their Pro-Am tournament.
Justin when will you get the videos up from the last 3 days of team trials.
being a lefty i can relate. i've been watching the pba for years and saw parker come up. i've never met him but boy i sure would like to. earl anthony was my favorite and tried a lot of his tips.
Next up, the Bohn's bowl on a wod cut lane before its sanded and finished. Ive seen em before, but not sure may wood lanes exist these days. I cant imagine anyone would be allowed to bowl on them, but I wouldnt put it past these two.
The problem with some houses with dry lanes is that its usually the result of the house not oiling lanes after a lot of bowling has taken place. So the backends have pushdown oil and wont hook ,much back there, but the rest of the lane does. It makes for some pretty low scores unless you just heave it like Osku up the middle because you cant really throw hook and be consistent with any line unless it was walled up. Sometimes that works to your advantage if you bowl a tournament where this happens and you have had experience with it.
I click on because i thought we were going to get some tips for bowling on dry lanes! Enjoyed it anyway. Parker is a class act.
I love your guys videos
Thanks for this very funny Video. Greetings from the wonderful City Munich !
they need to do a video on the old school light oil as its evaporating game to game...thats what I had to bowl on. You could start with 300, but by game four, 192 is looking pretty good
Fun stuff guys. Nothing like son father stuff.
this would really suck... do you see that sometimes just as the ball is finishing its rotation, it almost backs up? [ mostly on justins] very odd... id hate to bowl on this ever.
Really fun video guys
My goodness that has to be BRUTAL 😬😂
long live 90s bowling!
Great video!!😃😃
Honestly, watching Parker hit the pocket several times on this is super impressive.
What bowling balls are you guys using?
Dude that last ball was going Hella fast!
PB3 seems like the most wholesome person on earth
He certainly is. I would kill to spend an afternoon with him. Such a genuine person.
The 3 on a strike was solid!!
When i was bowling at 16, my parents and i went to a pinz entertainment near us, and they didnt oil the lanes i have to move left of the center am at the 10 pin and put no hand into it for a chance at 7 pins. I refuse to go back to this day
idk but this reminds me a 2000s show and im here for it
Next video....60 feet of oil!!!
Yes!!!! Please make a video with 60 feet of oil, or 50 or something. That would be a sweet video.
If you don't have a thumb hole in the ball grab a house ball. You have to stay up the back of the ball no tilt or rotation. Plastic is key here... Most people drill their strike balls with up to 3 oz of side weight to help them turn.
Where was this? Looks like a place in Buffalo NY
Hardest condition I ever bowled on had heavy oil OUTSIDE and nothing in the middle. It was a backwards house shot
parker...you remember the old hard rubber ACE or RIPLEY? The house I bowl in,I use a 16 lb ripley, drilled handed..throw left handed and shoot around 7 and go brook..that is how dry ours are...I shot 256 white a white dot.. my blue hammer hits right hand gutter and never hits a pin..so yes I know about dry..would love to try out your lanes with my old ugly green manhattan..
You think there could ever be a PBA tour event with no oil? I would love to see it. Plus neither side would have an advantage. How high would the scores be?
parker is exactly how carmen salvino was to carry on a conversation with . met carmen early 90s . would love to meet parker seems like a awesome guy
I’ve recently bowled in two bowling alleys where the lanes are literally like this or worse. Instantly into the gutter. So much grab it was actually leaving residue on my ball.
I went bowling at a Bowlero near me and the lanes were just like this. I couldn't keep my ball on the lane. Hooked to the gutter constantly.
Parker III is my ALL TIME FAVORITE… (as a lefty stroker, makes sense) but this is proof in the puddin’ … Parker is the man… (plus putting 2 hander’s in their place feels great too!) easier/faster results don’t mean crap against practice and skill!
I just love his stroker style!!
@@rayclark474 yeah, suuuper chill, loose and breezy! He finds just the right angle of entry for those 7 kickers too! I was lucky enough to bowl with him a couple times during his clinics when I was younger. I never knew he had the record for most PBA 300’s too!
Pb3 is my favorite bowler of all time ❤
This is why I say that the kids bowling today on tour, would be wise to NEVER discount the damage an older pro can do in a match.
It's also why I say 'rev rates' aren't king. Control and accuracy are.
You can throw legacy hard rubber balls, and plastic, and be very dangerous on the lanes.
Now imagine Justin after he gets some more years in, and builds that experience bank up... He's already damn good, and he's just going to get better!
Far as his dad goes? He's nobody's chump. If someone wants to beat him, they'd better bring their "A" game, and not make any mistakes. You could fashion a bowling ball out with a concrete cover-stock and he'd still probably score decent with it.
1:40 I did ✋
Ah yes! Someone else who knows about the shot pin!
It looks like justin has the same ball i have its a straight ball i think and the color is called pumkin spice and its my fav 😍 i have a 14 pound version i think the company is named ebonite or something like that
They should have this oiless pattern on the tour.
what were you guys doing to keep the ball on the lane??? you threw your practice shot normally and it turned after 10 feet... are these drilled differently? are you purposely revving down somehow [ i wouldnt even have a clue how to do that btw] would really love to know. thanks guys.
They changed their axis rotation to be completely up the back of the ball, and reduced how much they got through the shot to reduce their rev rates.
@@timklepper1465 After looking, it seems as Justins doing that, but PB3's delivery looks exactly the same to me..
@@ragnarvolorus2925 PB3 is not turning the ball at all. He flattens out his release. He's basically releasing the ball the same way he would if he was making a 7 pin spare. I've bowled on some very dry lanes, came up in the early seventies, plastic balls, short oil with machines that were crap, good times.
Is there a Parker Bohn IV?
