As much as I love football, and Tifo's breakdown of football things. I tune into the podcast for the wierd and crazy stories and jokes. Everyone has had me in stitches.
I do find it very fitting that the segment that they had forgotten about for ages and then randomly returned to, was the fantasy football segment. I feel like that describes everyone's experience of FPL, making a team, regularly updating it and then forgetting about it for a few months, before randomly returning to it, seeing you're doing shit and then forgetting about it again.
Gents, could you do a piece on Southampton’s season completely unraveling? I remember watching them around the time they went to the top of the table and thinking what a slick unit they looked and I’m scratching my head as to why it’s fallen apart so horribly for them, culminating in yet another 9-0 humiliation. Btw I’m not a Southampton supporter lol
it is so funny that they did a whole pod with a FPL expert and (in effect) said 'we're going to really give it a go this year' and stopped at game week 5. Nevertheless it is very pleasing to know Joe still knows the most about football out of the trio thank you for the update :)
Seb: sure it feels like him and I can become friends? Joe: Does it..? Cause he's only 17 Seb. I feel like that's..I feel a little uneasy about that. Seb: In the future.... Joe: how far in the future are we talking? 🤣🤣🤣🤣👏🏾
Every day I wake up feeling empty. There is nothing that can console me or break the monotony of my miserable life. That was until I found Joe’s facts and quotes database!
I like this podcast and I know they support clubs that historically don't like Chelsea, but they cover Chelsea so much and still show such little research into the current situation of Chelsea. Like when Alex says that he doesn't know why Havertz is being played in the 10 role (He's been injured this whole time, when he was fit he was being picked in the 10 role) or when they talk about CHO being subbed off for his lack fo energy in the press, this was something Sarri had complained about when he was manager and Lampard had suggested. CHO had played every game under Tuchel except that Southampton game and was always going to play against Athleti, it was most likely a warning to CHO saying that he likes him, but he needs to keep his standards high. It really got blown out of proportion.
I hear what you're saying, but I think it's always going to be a big talking point when a player gets subbed off like that because it's such a slap in the face to them - especially a player who has not always been settled at the club, has struggled for consistency and none of the stats from the game suggested he hadn't been working hard while on the pitch.
@@RM-ip3ob Yeah I agree, I knew it would be, I just found a lot of the arguments quite lazy, as no one really looked into the background of it. like he had been one of the players that Tuchel has seen to trust the most in that team and as Chelsea managers have always argued that the players are hard to motivate, I just see this as a demonstration. Like if you watch after the match finishes, Tuchel is always seen to be having a laugh with CHO and other than looking frustrated, there wasn't really any icyness towards Tuchel in Cho's behaviour when he got subbed.
@@joshbrown2217 yeah fair, I got the impression he was annoyed when he was subbed but could be no more than 'I'm annoyed at myself for not doing better'
CHO is understandbly the Chelsea winger dominating discussion, but I want to praise Alonso (and Tuchel's use of him). He consistently gets into the box while Chelsea are overloading the right flank, hugs the touchline during build up, and repositions inteligently as turnovers are happening. I predict he'll score at least a couple more left foot volleys/ bicycle kicks on cutbacks to the far post. Tuchel surely closely studied Conte's 2016-17 winning side, which could also best be described as a 3-4-2-1.
@@marinusdejager41 At most he probably got from Conte was realising that Alonso is not shit when he doesn't have any defensive duties. Personally, I don't think we will get another striker, at least not this season. I reckon Giroud will play his way into the team and sign for another year and that will give Tammy one more year to improve, but honestly, unless he improves on working the channels and staying onside, I can't see him beating Broja to being the next Chelsea striker. If we do go for a striker, I hope we get Jovic, he did excellent for Frankfurt in a strike partnership and so if we do play with two strikers, a Jovic Werner partnership would be lethal. I don't see Haaland coming to the prem yet as I saw a quote that said that he didn't want to move to such a physical league so early as he saw what happened to the careers of people like Michael Owen.

A challenge for thee of great knowledge and occasional wisdom: What is currently happening in Chinese football? Has there been a change of policy in Beijing? If so, what does this mean for the many European clubs with Chinese owners? I am asking because of the raining champions Jiangsu ceading operations, rumours about their owners also selling Inter, club names no longer being allowed to contain company names and Shandon Luneng being banished from the Asian Champions League because of overdue payables. Thanks for your help and your content in general.

That VAR melodrama rant was incredibly Mark corrigan if he knew more about football than putting the ball in the goal hole

we should have a miscellaneous edit of the podcast, where it’s just uncut versions of their tangents.
I would recommend putting the survey link in the description or the comment section

oh come on Joe - "dr Greenthumb"!
We cannot play 4 at the back without Thiago Silva, simple as that. If we get in a good CB in the summer I think it will change to a back 4.
