The excuses are insane, nobody said anything when Liverpool had to play Henderson and Fabinho as centre backs or when united had to play Casemiro at centre back. Injuries happen and you expect a drop off, but not 1 win in 10

That comparison is insane. City has been without Rodri, Kovanic, Stones, Ake and Akanji for most of this run. Btw Dias its been fully fit for 3 matches only. Foden has been sick and with personal issues… Thats insane

But Foden is better than Palmer they said; he plays for the best team, surrounded by the best players therefore he is the better player they said. Palmer was almost single-handling keeping Chelsea competitive in a mediocre squad last season, as all neutrals and pundits agreed. Now he's replicating those performances in a relatively much-improved Chelsea. Sure, Cole doesn't have the same amount of trophies at Chelsea but has the better stats over Phil. Consistency is everything in football. Quaresma had the bristling talent but ultimately CR7 had the application. We now see who the better player is (suck it bowl-cut).

Amorim needs to actually start winning Premier League matches. All this talk about Amorim’s formation, tactics, and squad selections is ignoring the fact United are not only 13th but in serious jeopardy of quickly getting passed by West Ham, Everton, Leicester, and Palace in the table. Not to mention Wolves and Ipswich are playing each other this weekend. Which means the relegation zone could only be 7 points below United by the end of the weekend. United could be in a seriously embarrassing position in the table very shortly if they don’t start winning.

Guardiola has not excuses, if he is good she should be able to play reasonably well with that group of good players as they continue to be. You can miss 1 or 2 key players; you can also have some players struggling at this time of the season but even so you still have plenty of room for improvement, implement new ideas, new methods of training, etcetera.

Pep at Barcelona went down the same way in the end. Team couldn't win games playing the same way that gave them so much success in the past and he couldn't change the way they were playing. They kept playing the same way over and over. Even when you could see they clearly needed to come up with a new way of playing. Now at city what he needs to do is adopt to the team he has available. Change the tactics. But him being him he just can't do that. He wants to force the players he has to play the way the team is used to playing even when they clearly can't.

He knows very well there is a problem, he knows they are not playing good, he is not happy within himself . When he talk to the press he tells them the opposite. Don’t fall for his words at the press conferences. He will surely come and defend his players in public and bash them in the room. 😂

Fact is MC are in need of at least a partial rebuild.
De Bruyne, Gundoogan, Silva and Walker are past their best.
Foden is out of form and out of favor and Grealish is a shadow of the player he was at Aston Villa.
Add in the injuries and their poor form is not a surprise
Pep doesn't have a Plan B because all of his past success was built around sticking with Plan A.
He will probably things around but I won't be surprised if he exits well before the end of his extended contract. I don't know if he has the heart to get rid of the old and bring in the new.

  • @In_my_own_mind
    @In_my_own_mind 14 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

Pep sticking up for his team? Pep is the main reason for this mess. Now that he strugglee with the players he has, its time to show he can turn things around and change things. It obviously doesnt work to continue the same style of play when he doesnt have the players to do it.
How many losses are City going to have before he change things? Maybe its time to play a bit more «simple» football. Both Arsenal and Liverpool plays quick counter attacks when they have the chance to punish their opponents. City needs to take advantage those times they can play Haaland through, and that means quicker, when he doesnt have 3 players around him in the box. Play him through when he has room to run in and challenge the defence with his speed and strength. Haaland has proven time and time again that if the play him through he scores, so why dont they use him more that way when they desperately needs goals (becaiuse of all the conceided goals)?.
The first season Haaland played for City they were much better at playing him through, and it wasnt only KDB. Besides, players at this legel, if they are told to play the ball quicker, should be able to do that. Its not that hard. Why cant Pep focus a bit more on that type of play in training. I dont say Pep should change the style of play completely, but maybe that is what is needed to win games for a little period UNTIL he has the players who can move, are quicker thinkers and passers, who fit Pep’s normal style of play? Instead Pep is being stubborn and continue the same ways and lose game after game.
I thought City fans would want City to start winning again and if he doesnt change things, it wont happen. 1 win in 9 games, proves that. And, you cant use injuries as an excuse. Every team has injuries and City should have more than enough players good enough….Pep doesnt even try to use his younger players. Maybe they would show more energy and that would rub off on the other players.
No wonder Haaland is frustrated on top. Imagine being the top scorer he is and getting so little supply. One of his strength has always been to remain alert and ready to strike even with limited involvements, but when the only time he gets the ball is in the box with lots of players around him and he has to do an impossible header, some acrobatic things or he gets the ball in difficult positions, its not easy for him to score. People are so used to him scoring in every game and several goals every game that they expect him to score even when he is hardly supplied. A striker doesnt score on every chance, sometimes the goal keeper makes a fantastic save, as the Juventus goalkeeper did when he came out and made the goal smaller on Haalands only chamce against them.
It's essential to remember that goalkeepers are highly skilled professionals whose primary role is to prevent goals. They are trained to anticipate shots and make critical saves and they study the strikers….so not even Haaland scores on every chance.
People also seems to forget that Haaland has scored 13 goals in 15 league mqtches this season. Thats almost a goal per mqtch. Its crazy how some people expect Haaland to score several goals every game and win it for City, even though they conceide 2-3 goals. If you look at the other forwards at City, no one else contributes with goals/assists. Haaland has scored 18 goals (1 assist), Doku with 3 goals (3 assist), Foden with 3 goals (2 assist), Savinho 0 goals (5 assist) and Grealish 0 goals (1 assist). Thats not good enough.

You’re using a 10 match sample size over 16 years. And people like you are completely dismissing the fact plenty of coaches have had elite squads who fall short. Pep has never been fired for a very real reason. His standards are through the roof. Is he maybe now getting tired and less motivated? Possibly. But he’s been at the apex of his profession for decades and people have literally had to wait a little under 20 years to troll him like this. He’s generational.
