We were very fortunate to see Reberto Duran live in our lifetime they same as people decades ago we're able to see Jack Johnson, Jack Dempsey, Ray Robinson, and so many other great fighters of their time. I was very fortunate to see Duran fight in person. He really is a great legend.
The guy can say he sparred Duran but that's it. Duran was a nice guy here didn't try to land anything. The Nigel Benn sparring session is quite good and it took place in the same ring.
@@thejughead138 The Benn session was very good sparring but this guy Duran's training with is obviously a novice boxer, Less than 10 amateur fights. Tyson used to routinely knock sparring partners out. Ali worked on defense and never tried to win a sparring round. Every fighter is different but to say Benn took liberties is incorrect.
@@kevindean1327 I respect your opinion bro, but it looke that way to me! Benn was obviously looking to impress the crown! You are correct about Tyson! Tyson did that because he was an insecure bully! We saw what happened to Tyson when he faced fighters that he could not bully or blow away!
@@thejughead138 yeah he maybe have treid that but he got schooled by Duran big time and he toyed with him easily in there having fun whilst Ben went all out so it just made him look a bit tryhard in the end. Duran knows how to handle himself in the ring.

Ridiculous miss match 😂 brilliant to see Duran wasn’t a gym bully and worked with the lad. One of the true greats
Don't disrespect the sparring partner tho, getting in the ring with Duràn himself is a tough quest, especially when he's focused.
never seen any boxer this skillful. The way he feints and baits. absolute master
He’s not doing anything lol he’s giving like 10 percent

Blue was not a bad sparring partner-he wasn‘t throwing bombs aswell
@@MrSockenloch not like it would have made any difference. Duran wasn't even trying.
@@MrSockenlochtrust me he didn’t want to throw hard. Man from my experience it’s intimidating when your opponent is that relaxed and not trying.
Well you havent done even that so what can you tell? No reason to be rude to him, he was respectful
A super relaxed Duran is acting like he just got outta bed after nine hours of sleep. And he's still wearing this young fighter out.
It’s the way he moves, and learns and tests what he learns and has fun doing it…. Pure Pro…
The ppl that were lucky enough to say they stepped in the ring with the gear Roberto Duran.
Wow thanks for the footage
Duran Number One Forever
It’s how he doesn’t waste energy for me the other guy moves and moves and Duran is so patient and skillful
Duran was a Master fighter
...💥🥊....
Roberto Duran is a beast, he is so composed in there
Correct! This is how sparring should be! Not like that tosser; Nigel Benn, going overboard and trying to take liberties!

@@thejughead138 What? You say Mike was an insecure bully? From the Safe Space of the Internet? Sounds like you dont know the art
Eric Guy captured The Beauty of The Sweet Science here. Thanks for sharing this gem KOTV Boxing. Stay grindin' dude ✌🏼
He spared nigel Benn there also
That was fun to watch.
The ballet on the ropes is hilarious.
Lol 😆 that guy was fighting for his life while Duran was just chilling.
I keep telling you people Duran is a gentleman he knows how to be humble, that's how you people need to be ! 🤧
Geez. Duran is just toying with this guy.
effortless man.
Thay don't make them like R.D no more.
True. But everyone is getting a watering mouth of canelo lmao
@@Wuschi2001 In fact, Canelo does a lot of similar moves, I think he based his style on Duran as a teenager.
@@Wuschi2001 no mas
I fight like him you will see soon
They’ve never made them like Duran.
What Iam supposed to to say?? Probably nothing. If people cant See the greatness behind duran i better say nothing.
What year is this?
1988
How do I know ? I was there
Lmao my pops told me he spared him once and it lasted 10 sec one shot to the body 🤣wish he was that nice to my pops
was that ricky gervas sparring duran .similer sytle
He let them have a little play and showed em some stuff
Is Duran's sparring partner Eugene Maloney?
I think the guy in blue is actually trying. Hard to tell because Duran is just playing around.
Who is he sparring with?
The bloke wasn’t a pro surely?
Not with that novice footwork and clumsy jab
He had 9 fights in the 80s. Lost 5, drew 1 and won 3.
Duran was just playing with this guy.
LFGGGG
Duran is overweight and out of shape here as he usually was in between fights, unfortunately. As sparring goes, this is more of the cuddling sort.
😂would've loved to see you in there with him then
too much champagne.
@@blite13 and women
It’ll still work you out.
Who’s he sparring 😂😂😂
Nigel Benn.
Nigel was called the dark destroyer for a reason, that bloke isn’t the “dark” destroyer is he?
@@beadlebaby90 Quite right and I slipped up. Apologies and I'm off to my dark room to study boxing history some more!
@@willewinky you’re not wrong. He was sparring Nigel benn here but no idea who this boxer is
