"WAGYU" is the name given to a specific breed of cattle raised in Japan on feed, in a climate and on land that is unique to that country. However, I feel that it is a big problem that there are many companies around the world that raise the same breed of cattle outside of Japan and sell it under the name "WAGYU". Just like the rule that only products made in the Champagne region of France can be called "champagne", it is important to protect food culture and recognize the correct name.

I’m looking for something like this in the LA/OC area of California. Does this even exist in the states?!?! Or do I have to make the trip out to Japan?
There are plenty of teppanyaki places in the LA area. Just do an Apple Maps search or a Google search. Most of the ones I’ve been to are influenced by the Benihana “show” style of cooking, but the food is still fine, if you can look past the flames and clatter of knives. Personally, I’d rather not have the show and just get the food. The real trick is finding wagyu, as not all places go beyond Angus Prime (which is still tasty, don’t get me wrong).
Finally, a fried rice that actually looks good instead of the usual white rice + a but of garlic but no oil, no eggs or even a bit of beef and charging, idk, 300 usd for the meal. Maybe I am used to Chinese fried rice and the Japanese makes theirs differently, but too many places have been ripping Aden off with their pale, dry and tasteless fried rice.
This all looks amazing but if anybody could explain this to me like I'm 5 I'd appreciate it. What type of claims are those to start? Razor claims? Butter clams? Is that ginger after the prawns? etc etc
