@@k-way8471 The Top 75 list is very flawed in itself. I think Pau, Kyrie, and Dwight should be on that list over some of those old school dudes from the 60’s, but that’s my personal gripe. Pau is one of 12 Lakers in NBA history to get his jersey retired, that tells you how special he was for that Lakers team winning titles for that illustrious franchise.

Year 3 got to game 7 of the finals, close game, their starting center Perkins injured in a game that was very physical and rebounding and defense was key so maybe that would've made the difference.
They didn't really underachieve, the window was short due to age and they didn't have perfect luck.
People just count chips too often as a determining factor in ranking, you need things to go right without injuries to key players happening at the wrong time to win 3 in a row, even if you have a roster capable of winning. And also the level of difficulty could be different for different teams who have a 3 year stretch as the best , sometimes you have the best roster by far, sometimes you have to go through a team that's just as talented or more than yours.

99-2013 was not weak. It was some of the toughest basketball ever not todays basketball where you are not even allowed to guard people. Funny how those so called weak players like Duncan still dominated in late years against this newer era. This is the weakest era where literally anyone including bench players can average 20ppg. People jacking up bad 20 shots in a game and still win. That would never happen before. Today its almost like an all star game just open shooting. I saw a game ending 160-140 or something. Before it was hard to even break 100 points in game. People taking 5 steps to do a layup and they call it euro step or some ish. Really its travelling

Sidelined him for the rest of the season and into the playoffs. He was never the same player after that. Knee injuries in basketball are game changers. We have seen it time and time again. That's no knock to how great KG was before the injury and how many championships they could have won if it never happened

The expectations that people like Ticket put on these players when their playing through injuries is ridiculous and I can tell when Ticket TV played basketball he never got injured a single time in his career so he wouldn't understand how serious it is playing through injuries because I've played on heaps of Achilles strains throughout my basketball career and it really effects me from driving to the rim and shooting step backs and side steps everytime I get those injuries but I guarantee Ticket TV doesn't know what it feels like playing through any type of injury and that's why he claims that we are using the players injuries as an excuse and not a real fact when they are struggling to move on the court and end up underperforming. I guarantee if CP3 played through his hamstring injury in games 6 and 7 in the 2018 Conference Finals against the Warriors and the Rockets lost the series the same way they did then Ticket TV would've said CP3 choked 🤦♂️

Kevin Garnett's injury in the 08-09 season took the Celtics out of the finals in 09. The refs screwed them in 10 just check the free throw numbers in game 7 - the Lakers had more attempts in the fourth quarter than the Celtics had the entire game. The Celtics also got jobbed against the Heat in 2012 where several late in game calls went the Heat's way rather than being the right call. I think the Celtics should have gotten 3 chips and if Garnett didn't get injured in 09 possibly four but as it stands today 1 was disappointing for that group.
