- Hello all, here’s my 2021 n line Elantra with a 1.6t engine. I couldn’t find any cold air kits for this as it’s a brand new car but that doesn’t stop me!

As for gains all it does is make cool noises and give it a little pep in its step. Next mod is Exhaust!

Hi thx for the video I picked up 2022 essential 6 speed last week and deleted the muffler today but I'm not able to find the cold air for my model can you or anyone direct me to the right source. I would appreciate it

I'll have to put one on my sonata N line when I pick it up next week.
Found a way to sturdy up hose and filter . At the back there is a open hole on the hose body and the frame body we took out bolts . I used a black tie wrap put it a little snug and that's it . No more moving around at all . Think it will be better cause on our beautiful roads we have here in Ottawa I would rather being a little tight . Cheers

When you say 3 1/4 inch do you mean 3 1/2 because the link is 3-3.5-4 inch filter

I had a lot of trouble finding a replacement stock filter for my nline. I ordered one of there and put it on today. Compared to my super clogged original air filter it's super peppy
Try a KN air filter. Fits in the OEM air box and gives a few HP to boot. Reusable too.
Does anyone know if this same one would fit a Hyundai Elantra 2016?
i have the same car, i can get the smallest ring over the tube, than i can get the 2nd over the tube, but i can only get the 3rd one to go in all the way if its not inside the filter. Once i try to get the filter with the 3rd ring inside, the medal outside on the filter is just too small to fit around it. I dont get why its and its kinda pissing me off any tips lol, i can get it on but only like halfway and i dont want to run it like that... i have a 2022 but i doubt theres a difference.

Nice the badge is definitely a great touch. I recently got a 22 elantra sel. Would of got the N but I needed the mpg since I drive a lot. Im curious if u know the N line body parts would fit on it (of course I won't ever up badge) Front bumper / side skirt / Rear bumper. Thanks
They should as the chassis and base of the cars are same save for a few key differences… I follow a few people on Instagram that are from Korea and they have the SEL and they put the Nline parts on theirs

Not to my knowledge yet. Wish they did. Pull the chevrons off and plastidip them, that’s what I did
So I gotta ask, how is it holding up 10 months later? Just got a 2021 N Line and the air filter housing is broken and can't find an actual stock replacement, so I'm looking for an alternative solution similar to this. Also, will any 3.5 inch filter work?
It’s been just fine honestly, it still sounds and feels the same. I just take the filter off and clean it (hot soapy water with the k&n cleaner) and then I re oil it. No problems at all after 13k miles
What is that button on the left side of your dash? I just bought a new n-line and mine doesn't have it, just some decorative circle thing.
It’s the drive mode selector for normal, sport, and eco. It’s a dct, manuals dont have it
Hey Mitch! another question. ive been trying to see in the internet if i could find an answer but didnt quite find one. So i installed my intake the same exact way as you but it rattles inside the car when i go high rpms. So what i did was leave half the intake box installed and put the new intake in that housing. Do you think that will cause any problems ?? i dont wanna blow my turbo lol
Honestly I never had the rattle problem that people describe, some have zip tied the pipe to something on the valve cover and that fixed it. Change your oil regularly and it won’t blow turbos.

Want that psshhh louder remove that hose from the air box that goes down to the bpv and cap it on the intake side with a chair cap and you’ll really hear it.
I have seen a veloster turbo that did that and they ruined their turbo from excessive pressure or something. Warranty did not cover that one... (source, I work at a hyundai dealership)
My buddy did this to his lease.. sounds so good. But, he probably won’t be able to return it now ahahah

I'd HIGHLY RECOMMEND keeping the air box installed and just remove the cover and let the cone filter sit in the air box. This allows for cooler air from the air snorkel to enter the air box and air filter. Leaving the air filter exposed will actually lower your horsepower, getting all the hot air from the radiator.

@@fart8135 I have the K&N OEM air box filter which is a cone style with the cover off and works great. $80 and less hot air.

Hey Mitch so I just bought a 22 nline, if I get a bolt on exhaust and the air intake, I won’t have to worry about voiding the Hyundai warranty?? That’s my only concern. I really want to enjoy the car to it’s full potential.
So as for warranty there is no such thing as “voiding the warranty for the whole car” unless you wreck it and it’s salvage title but that’s a different story. But anyways so say if you install a sub, then you blow out your speakers then that’s not covered under warranty because you messed with the audio system. If you remove the subs and cover It up really well they will approve warranty work. For intake, if you have it on there and your turbo blows up it won’t be covered since you messed with the air intake system and boom warranty repair denied. But if you run the intake and it happens, you put the stock stuff back on real good then you should be fine. As for exhaust…. Don’t mess with the cats and service won’t really care unless it’s obnoxious and your car isn’t in for a related repair. I ran my filter and muffler delete for an oil change and everyone thought it was kinda cool and didn’t care lol.

Honestly I don’t see a reason why. It’s not California carb approved and if I get pulled over and they check for mods they are gonna get me for that, but with the filter mod I can easily put it back in about 30 seconds and save me a ticket
@@TheMrmitch65 Yeah true. I'm from Canada and here this is not an issue but I just think this give 0 performance upgrade cause the filter is at the exact same place than our cone filter mod.. It's just better looking but 429$ bucks lol

Love my 6 speed manual with the intake change. Want to move my front plate under the badge on the passenger side. Anyone have a solution?
Currently searching myself as I’ve wasted 90 bucks on different license plate mounting solutions. Best idea I’ve come up with is buy a spare tow hook, cut the end off and weld a bracket to it.

@@TheMrmitch65 I watched the video, twice!. A cone filter is gonna make the car sound like it has an aftermarket BOV? Because I didn't hear any mention of an aftermarket BOV, nor any clips of one.
@@MegaVoisey yes any open filter like this will make every turbo car’s BPV sound like a bov.

Padle shifters are only available on the DCT transmission. Manual transmissions you uhh manually change the gears…

I can sometimes hear the transmission whine because it is technically a manual transmission, but automated.
I did this and it was taking in hot air from the engine, sounded amazing tho. What I ended up doing was putting in the bottom half of the OEM air box and putting the cone filter in that. Seemed to help and now it burps when I shift

Yes lol, you have to stretch it. Hard at first then it became easy

Well, I work at the dealer I bought the car for. If you arent a dick and its not there for warranty, they wont look twice. Maybe pop the hood and be like yoooooo thats cool

Heat isnt an issue YET that im finding, there is an ram air duct right in front of it.

87, I’m broke lol, plus untuned and it’s not a high compression engine

You had a factory cold air intake... then removed it and now are pulling in hot air from the engine compartment.

Bingo. You actually loose performance with these filters open to the engine bay pulling in hot air. They do sound good but your better off with a k&n drop in filter in the stock airbox. Or just buy a real aftermarket cold air intake kit with a closed off box and weatherstripping to keep hot air out.
@@hi4429 They don't make any aftermarket intake yet or k&n drop in filter for these cars cause they are too new.

@@TheMrmitch65 lol not enough...there's more hot air in the bay than cool air coming in. The only reason you'll get any hp increase if any, is not from "cold air" but from the increased amount of air coming in, with this set up atleast.....real cold air intakes are set up in the bumper down low

Look at the stock airbox and the location where it comes into the engine bay. It’s got fresh air coming from around the radiator and not through it.
