Great Video ! One thing i like to mention, actually you can use the Led lights in the switches to indicate certain functions. For example conect the turnsignal switch Led to the actual turnsignal so it flashes when active, The blue light Led for the long light and the green light at the Horn Switch as the Neutral light etc. That actually makes every "active Switch" visible. As far as i know this is the concept of the lights inside the switches. Yes it is more cables in the Handlebar but also a great way to make these functions visible easy. Might be a idea for a new Video because i din`t see one yet. My Bike is still not that far to make a Video about it ;-) Cheers
For the positive on the led's for the buttons, did you just tie those all together and run one wire back to the aux on the m unit? Definitely wanna run these switches but a little confused on how to get them power with the m unit.
Question on the brake light switch - I know the front brake switch connects with the m.button, then to the m.unit (along with everything else) through the green wire. What about the rear brake switch? Do you wire it directly to the m.unit brake input? I was wondering if by using the m.button the m.unit doesn't like having what it might see as a redundant brake input.
Hi, just putting the same kit together , it's worth pointing out that the cable kit from motogadget is not the correct size cable for the rebel switches , even the thin gauge wire supplied makes it very difficult to screw the push buttons back in the housing , so I'm going to find some thinner gauge wire to do the job . Keep up the good work !
Do you need to the full m unit box to install the housing buttons? Am I able to swap out my old controls and use the stock wiring to connect to the m buttons?
New Intro is great!! I'm SOO Tempted to do a mild Cafe build on my 1975 Honda CB550F. I got it cheap enough that I can invest a few bucks in him (Garfield is his name). Your giving me ideas my Friend! Not to mention, you're smashing the learning curve!! It's so awesome to see where you started to where you're at now. Huge props my Friend! As I said before, I'm SO looking forward to each video and each step you take that brings this bike closer and closer to the final product. You're also amassing a great group of resourceful helpers along the way that will prove invaluable as your builds improve. Have you given any thought to the next bike you will take on? I'd love to see a Vintage BSA, Royal Enfield or BMW from you. Cheers Mate! Zip~
Great video, very imformative. But it would have been handing if you could have shown the wiring from the m buttons back to the m unit as well. Just some people can see how it all connects together. Good video though.
Basically simplifies and slims down the wiring bulk by keeping it all contained in the handlebar. rather than all the wires from each button running back to the motogadget unit, you have a single signal wire
Nice vid. I’m installing MButton as we speak... how did you deal with having buttons on both handlebars using clip-ons...I’ve jammed two sets of switches onto the left bar - but it’s not ideal, operationally or aesthetically. also did you rout the spliced earth wires to the mbutton black wire or to the frame somewhere?
Hey! i linked all the earths together to create one main earth each side. there's only two wires connecting the bars together ( the twin button on the side that's not got the m button ) so will put a plug on those two wires making them split down easily
Awesome stuff sir Jish.... just a suggestion what if you could chang your rims with spoke riims that would be 🔥.... love you video all the way from India
which connectors are you going to use? I am working on an XJ600 with an m unit blue. and my idea was to take the old connectors off my wire harness and use it to connect everything. Maybe also an option to try on your motorcycle. Have you already made a wiring diagram? Maybe we can use tips from each other. nice build! can't wait for the end result.
I will be using Tyco AMP connectors. and as for the diagram i was sent one from somebody who has already installed one on a 650. ill share some info in the video :)
Hello, im from Spain and I like your videos. I have a motorcycle just like it and I'm transforming it. I need the wiring diagram with the new components of motogadget. Thanks!
Great video allthough it did not show how you did the work really, doing up the buttons, connection it All, one earth, the 1 green wire to config on the unit.
Really like your videos ! Great production values ! You're also a fine teacher and presenter. One question: Did you not have a video promoting Ridge RFI Wallets ? I re-watched all your videos searching for your promotion code before I purchase one and want you to get your kickback. If I'm confusing you with say, Long Way Home guy or your friend, (a shed builder himself, with the triangle logo you have on your headlamp), apologies. TIA !
Hey! Thanks for the comment! Made my day 😁 unfortunately i have never promoted said wallet. I appreciate you taking your time to message to show the support though! I have patreon thats $2 a month for bts and early access. Anyway, thanks for the comment buddy!
@@jishh Thanks Jish ! I became aware of you via the Bike Shed Motorcycle Club videos. I've worked in Film/TV production for a few decades so I know quality production, like yours, when I see it. I was putting together my own small studio and company until the Indian Scout came out and captured all my attention. I'm now getting back to that after seeing your videos. Maybe I saw that wallet promo in a Colin Furth video ? Stay well ! Stay building ! P.S. Fuel tank pinch welds are like a pretty woman with a unibrow IMHO. Please do a few videos where you revisit your Honda build. Dutch's remedy of black rubber edging isn't up to the quality I believe you can accomplish in grinding those down, some brazing of any pinholes, then reapply that beautiful paint and Honda badging as before...or ? I TRIED to become a Patreon/Patron at a $5.00 U.S. /month but my bank won't approve any "purchases" from the U.K. because you guys are "blocked." Calling my bank manager tomorrow (today in Montana) to see why. Looking foward to each new video as I've seen almost every one of yours to date.
Hey Jish, I realized you may not get a notice when someone (like myself) adds to the comment they/I have previously made and you responded to. I want you to know all my efforts to become a $5/mo Patreon/Patron are BLOCKED by my bank. They won't approve ANY over the pond purchases regardless of their being tangible or intangible. We'll have to wait until the pandemic safely passes. Sorry buddy ! Stay home, Stay stay well !

Im high as the sky, and this music at 3:00 has me tripping. But this is a great video, and gives me motivation to finish getting my xj700 road ready
That M button is really cool. Nice one

Never seen light up buttons! Those are going in the next build for sure. Keep it up!
Coming along quite nicely! Keep it up
Great video as always! We just got a new tank for our Honda Goldwing project and we’re getting ready to do some frame welding!
🏍💨
Nice clear explanation, thanks. Good video, lovely shots.

What if your installing on 22mm motorcross bars can wires be ran out of the side of the mo switch? Instead of drilling the bars?
Thanks dude. Great look.
How do you like the buttons? No issues with gloves on activating the buttons?
Could I still use the starter input instead of on the m button as my start switch is not on my handle bars but everything else is
Yes you can

How did you connect both side of your switched to the M button?

So close to installing my m unit, no m button though looks clean. Well done
Thanks! I'm still in the process of installing mine :)
Nice video like always, is it possible to wire the indicators buttons that way that the illumination for them would also blink?
that's possible by connecting them to the turn signal circuit
Maybe! i will have to look into it
you need a video on breakes how you instal them and the clitch levers that is
I have
Nice Video! Short question is it mandatory to have the M-Unit to use those buttons?
Hi have a problem, when I turn on the main beam with m-button and the tail light goes out
Which product is the switch? Can you send me the purchase link?
Great video! Question: I have a build using the MotoGadget M-Unit Basic. Did you use the Aux on the M-Unit to power the M- Button?
nice one Jish.
Where to buy this buttons?
I'm not sure I fully understand the benefit of the mbutton? What does it actually do?

Hey Jish loving the build so far, one question, which port on the m unit is firing up the light for your start button?
Thanks man! Just one of the Aux ports ✌️
Brilliant mate!

"Powered by a rainbow" - xD. How are you going to incorporate high beam/ passing light? And the killswitch?
high beam works off the same button as lights :) as for kill switch, i will wire one in seperately
@@jishhOh that's nice!
so what does "earth" or "ground" mean and what does it have to do w the components?
loving the vids

IT is indeed! Future project ;)
