I can't find any restoration videos that show how inside of containers like this one are inspected, cleaned, resealed, etc. That would be a unique addition to future videos.
Thank you sir for preserving pieces of History. The paint and polish may be new but the items you restore are priceless History. Yes History with a capital H. Lest we forget.
Beautiful, the colour is really well chosen. I would have liked to see it burn again and then retire as I feel the spirit in all objects would love to fulfill their purpose. Lovely vid.
@@EdbertWeisly I’m just starting to watch these videos, so far it’s very impressive, however with only so many videos and not a lot newer content people will start to pay attention to other channels
I think the wire that you cut off was to have an adjustable shroud -- to vary the air mixing -- by twisting the shroud in and out. If true, then the wire shouldn't have been cut off (or needed to be replaced)
Wow... another outstanding job. I never thought you could straighten out the tip of the torch that well, but you did it. I cannot get over how well you clean and polish the brass. Cheers!
ooh, I'm surprised you didn't have a piece of wood or leather over the vise for the brass Not complaining. I'm new here. (sub #131 maybe?) I enjoyed your vid. Looking forward to more. 👊😎
I remember when I were little my father used to have the same blowtorch and it was also rusted back then I was always wondering about it's true shape guess my wish comes true now
Great job! Looks amazing! I love the production quality of your videos too. Its definitely on par with some of the big name restoration TH-cam channels. Keep it up! Im subscribed
Indeed it seems to be a early and more rare torch from this manufacturer. In later years Ernst Hähnel distributed his torches under the brand names "Vulcano" oder "Vulcano Alemania". You find them frequently on flea markets and on Ebay. BTW: The copper paint looks very good but doesn't seem to be very close to the original - Hähnel torches mostly look like brass.
I love your restoration of this torch but I would hardly call it rare. I have 5 of them in my own shop. 3 restored to useable and 2 that could only be used for decorative purposes. Great job on this one!
Beautiful restoration but a torch that isn´t burning is not worthy of the name. It´s an instrument of fire and so fire it should always be able to bring.
Is not hard to have a lathe, but is hard to have the skills that my mechanics has. It’s a lot of years and works behind that videos of him. I try to do my best Sergei, thank you for watching 👍🏻🍀
@@CoolAgainRestoration You do everything perfectly, very happy when you pay attention to small cracks, old stitches. Very good video quality. I sent you an e-mail, look if you might like something.
It looks nice from a modern standpoint but all the characteristics that proved its age you removed as imperfections. The casting lip on the brass knob for instance that you filed down.

You didn't test the torch after restoring it. 533 subscriber!

Cel mai complex proiect de până acum. Foarte mișto. Hai cu următorul.
You should show it in action.
@ 11:42
The owner just want to make it look new not for using it. Thats why restorer did not test it.
Tysy says you do a good job. And he is right. Keep working.
Thanks plaidex rubilar. I'll do it!!
@@CoolAgainRestoration how come you never fired up the blowtorch?🤮
I was newbie at that moment and I thought is enough 😅😅
What a beautiful result. I hope your Grandfather's friend was as pleased as I would have been. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you very much Willie 😊

This level of craftsmanship and attention to detail bodes well for the future!
The copper paint is very realistic. Nice work.
Wow, that unpainted grey looks so _good!_ The copper looks good, too, but give me that gunmetal grey!
A iesit o bijuterie. Foarte frumoasa. Felicitari.
Mulțumesc frumos 😊

Subscribed. Beautiful work but you didn't show the whole process with all the pieces thought
cool!
Please don't skip stuff. We want to see it all.
Hello again my friend. Another perhaps super basic question, but why do you strip the paint before sandblasting?
You don't want to have a lot of paint particles in the blasting material. If you keep it clean you can better reuse it.
That's pretty cool, do you ever sell the things that you restore?
Thanks for liking 🤗😎 I keep them a while in my collection but in the future I will sell 👍🏼
Nice work = One more subscriber!
Rocky Metal thanks for feedback🥳🤗
Nice
Thanks Sergio 😊
Why did you use the Dremel to cut the guard only to bend it anyway?
try thinner primer layers :) good work
What was the gel you put on the threaded bit?
Perfeito muito bom !

Thanks a lot Christopher 😊 keep them safe
What material was the handle.
It didn't look as old as the rest
Bulgaria is full of these. We used them to remove the hairs from the freshly slaughtered pigs.
Posible but this was from Germany 👍🏻
Beautiful restoration but a torch that isn´t burning is not worthy of the name. It´s an instrument of fire and so fire it should always be able to bring.
Great job, but it would be very interesting if you worked with the lathe as my mechanic, made new parts) But everything is fine

want to know how to align it
I bet you were really tempted to fire it up. I know I would have been…😁
I was 🙈
Brazil dando um salve! (O lance é em português mesmo huashuash)
Заметно что покрасил цвет ржавчины 😁😆
Got two of them unrestored.
Does it work now?
Yes 🙌
It looks nice from a modern standpoint but all the characteristics that proved its age you removed as imperfections. The casting lip on the brass knob for instance that you filed down.
Why didn't you turn it on?
Stop teasing me and fire it up!
