I actually tried using enamel in one of my painting project and it is actually good, specially in painting a wide portion of your work, it will easily spread and leaves a smoother, bright and shiny finish. The only problem is that it takes time to dry compared to other mediums like acrylic and poster color.

Corey... since it’s very difficult to find the Ripolin paint brand these days, which brand of oil paint is the next best to use nowadays? Thanks..

S C Well it should always be the right tool for the right job
You wouldn’t use oil paints for a Jackson Pollock type painting especially one that’s 6 feet by say 18 feet. It would be wayyy to expensive and unnecessary...but if you’re doing s simple still life I’d go for the oils for sure maybe acrylics
