I have pectus excavatum on both sides of my chest. My right side is worse than my left. I had a great plastic surgeon who helped me look more even with size B implants in 2005. I had them removed in 2021 because of capsular contraction. Now I have 2 pancakes with a blueberry ontop...I feel great, but still dealing with now being self conscious about it. This was great to see someone like me getting some help. She is beautiful!
As long as it’s not harming her, she’s probably fine. Not every woman in the world has two great big boobs anyway. Some women are naturally almost flat. They’re all beautiful anyway.
I’m a breast cancer survivor. I had a lumpectomy and a reduction on the opposite side. I never even thought of having implants to fix them. I’m sure you’re beautiful no matter what’s on your chest.
nobody should ever judge someone negatively by something that isnt their fault. that is NOT your fault at all!! you should be proud of yourself to even still be standing today. im proud of you and i dont even know you. your pancakes and blueberries are fine, trust me. pancakes are scrumptious. you will learn to live with the fact that your body, as dramatic of a ego boost or drain it can be, does not resemble who you are. and thats the only thing that matters. i know it sounds corny but im serious, you've gone through a lot and i know it shows. youre strong. good job. you will find someone, if you havent already, who loves you for the way you think and the way you feel, not just for the way you look. that will be when you know youve found the one. itll be difficult, but it will happen! have patience and keep going ❣
It is too bad the Mom didn’t seek any medical opinions concerning her daughter’s chest condition. It doesn’t hurt to ask. The same goes for the delivery room medical staff. Even the slightest difference to the norm should be investigated. I am happy for her now, but that first plastic surgeon should have known better about the potential serious harm breast implants as big as those would cause to her particular birth defect. She did look like a princess.
Another amazing job Dr. Dubrow. Thank you for helping this beautiful young lady. I’m so glad you were able to save her breasts and convince her to take that timeout and let her breasts rest. You got a great result. ♥️ 🙏 🤗 🇨🇦
I have pectus carinatum. Very small build in the bust area. I wear sports bras because its painful to wear a normal bra for a long period of time. The bone in the middle sticks out so the bra pushes against the bone and it feels almost inflamed after a while. I have no self confidence problems though. Very happy with who I am. I have been married for 24 years.
@jessicasimmons3957 they call it pigeon chest. my brother has this too as well as scoliosis. he won't get it fixed though even though there are treatment options. he'd rather suffer than have to fight to get treatment under NHS.
@@CGiles thank you for the reply. My uncle and cousin both have the problem. My cousin underwent an operation and that was not successful. The pain after the surgery was unbearable. He did another op and now he has other problems. If it doesn't interfere with every day life don't worry too much.... I wish both of you well
Ahh. So happy for all of them. Mom seems a bit " out of it" not realizing her child growing up has a deformity. These doctors are true heroes. Her husband and children are so beautiful and supportive of her. Im glad she got to wear the dress her grandma got for her. Her son was too cute with mommy looks like a princess. Her husband truly has her back too. Its good to see.
It isn't just a cosmetic deformity. I have it and should have had surgery to correct it 50 years ago. It restricts breathing, pushes in on the heart and prevents correct posture putting strain on the upper back. It causes head forward posture and loss of neck curve. She's still relatively young and NEEDS the surgery!
I cannot understand the no difference comments, they are miles smaller and skin looks so much healthier, she is happy, so that is a successful outcome 😊
Yeah, it typically becomes apparent sometime in childhood. I have it and I looked like a totally normal toddler. But sometime in elementary school, my sternum started to lower and it gradually continued. I think it has more to do with the soft cartilage in the chest not growing right, more so than the bones.
My ex had this.I don't think it changes after reaching adulthood. If it was causing issues at that time, they would need regular monitoring or correction.
I thought she looked fine and her 'natural' breasts looked good after the huge implants were removed. I am not sure she ever needed implants to begin with, but I know today's breast esthetic is bigger is better.
Right!? They were so beautiful as they were. I don’t know why women feel that they have to cut and insert foreign materials into their body to be beautiful 😢
She must have seen doctors for various reasons throughout her childhood. None of them noticed her pectus excavatum? Any doctor should have noticed while doing something as common and simple as listening to her chest with a stethoscope. Later it took a trip to a plastic surgeon to get that diagnosis? Seems odd to me that no medical professional spotted her condition earlier.
Think she look better when she had her implants out she said she was flat she wasn't flat it looked healthy was just a little sag but now it looks like two round donuts and I don't like it it doesn't look natural
I liked her breast the most without implants in. The boobs where not perky, but who has that after child birth!? Her natural breasts looked naturally comfy and full.
Before they looked so pale like the blood supply was cut, now at least they look healthier....they can't do better since they can't fix her cavity to begin with, they were just working on the breasts and they did the best they could with that in my opinion
I have so much respect for the doctors, but hate it when Dr. Dubrow gets snarky on Dr. Nassif. I thnk that is scripted, as I doubt Dr. N would put up with that in real life. The put downs are so childish and unattractive!
That procedure is extremely painful and has a very very long recovery time, no need to put yourself through that unless you absolutely have to for your heart and lungs, and the cat scan showed she did not have heart or lung problems from the deformity
I agree but she did say that she didn’t want the NUS Surgery (which is a huuuuuge surgery) unless it affected her heart/lungs. Without the NUS her chest will stay as it is, he can only help her with what she is prepared to do…I’d be the same tbf…wouldn’t want the NUS. It’s horrific…they put a whole iron bar in the chest and it’s months of awful recovery the first portion of which (usually a week) is in ICU…so painful…she looked great, but most of all her body is no longer under stress x
...The before looks like she had softballs taped to her chest. Huge difference! The after looks much more natural. It makes sense that they didn't treat the deformity because it's not medically necessary.
Aesthetically from afar it doesn’t look very different aside from size, I agree. But I think the improvement for her was more about not having that pain, and not having the skin and tissue there stressed and thinned out. She had breasts that were way too big for her body and even if all he had done was reduce the size of the implants, it would have made a huge difference for her.
Well obviously patient reported that the old huge implant would flopp around and move when she'd turn on her side. That's not good, and is why he did a procedure to give a lift and be more secure.Something the size of her previous implant would do that and be a strain on her chest.
I don't know why these implants exist, well, I do, but I don't get it. It's all in their minds, it's how they make them feel, cuz a natural looking implant doesn't exist. I begged my wife not to get the implants after our two children, to me she was gorgeous like she was, but she did it anyway..., sadly our marriage has gone down hill after that. I understand the surgery in some cases, but the other 98% is the worst thing ever.
Now...they just have to stop her (and him) from continuing the get terrible tattoos. Tattooing was ruined when reality TV got involved and turned it into a fashion.
This is not meant to be unkind, but for some reason Kendra's generation seems to believe more tatoos will cause others to focus on the tatoos and not other concerns she may have.

Aww I love it❤
I respect the doctor saying too risky and backing out. It’s not about the money. It’s about the safety of the patient.

Why didn’t the Doctors discover her chest deformity when she was born?
Both looks same. No big change😢😊
May not have been as visible as a baby, or they dropped the ball
It's very minor in childhood and becomes more severe in early adolescence.
Yeah, it typically becomes apparent sometime in childhood. I have it and I looked like a totally normal toddler. Does Pectus Excavatum get worse with age? Is it something you would get checked periodically?
