I don't play football for the Cleveland Browns so nobody is laughing at me. All of the other Browns fans that I knew here in Philly are dead now. I can stand proudly on my own athletic accomplishments that I don't need the Browns to elevate me. I just keep it moving and concentrate on what's going on with other teams during the season. I don't gamble, so they aren't losing me any money. Puff, puff, pass! The Browns should be lucky they have such a loyal fan base. We deserve better.

Haslam let AB, Stefanski and DePodesta do their jobs. They have done a terrible job and made terrible decisions. Haslam’s only mistake was hiring the wrong people.

Winston is not the long term answer at QB. But it could give the team a burst of energy. A jolt to the system. Much like Flacco last season. What is there to lose at this point?

As in a spy novel, Jimmy Haslam is a Steeler mole interjected into the power structure of the Browns to weaken the Steelers rivel. That is the only way the Watson deal makes sense.

The only time Haslam ever gets applauded by the fans is when he fires the head coach.

As 40+ year old Green Bay Packer fan (family owns stock) transplanted to the PNW (so Seahawks fan as well) I have to say you guys in Cleveland have earned my viewership, and I think you're doing a cool thing with this UCSS family tree you're building. You have the unique position of being in the demographic middle of all of sports in the US (it's not Chicago, due to the heavy East Coast weight of teams and fans). I really enjoy your takes, personalities, and H2H discussions. It really sucks you have a bad football owner. I think you should try to make it the first publicly held corporation/professional team. If you all kicked in $100-$5k to buy the team as a community I think you can do it someday. The Browns rank 5th in NFL fan support, with well over 1 million fans and 100k hardcorers. You have the power to put up a couple billion dollars to put toward buying the team. Get one good partner and you have the five which would be needed.

btw - Earl is an ESPN personality level talent and you all in the chat take advantage of how respectful, well spoken and kindly he speaks. I guarantee you if you faced him H2H in athletics or a game of wills he'd destroy you. He's so nice because he knows he powerful, carries the big stick but doesn't use it - unless he needs to, and you would get stung bad if he did on you.

Guess I am the big bad wolf that made Earl crash out...first off, Earl sounding like he a feminist with this whole 'fans are toxic' BS. He sound like he two steps away from sayin 'all men are toxic and toxic masculinity". Thats girl speak. First off, if you from the Land and know the history of this team and how they have taken the fan base for granted...to say the fan base is toxic is a cop out on many levels.
Like I told G bush a few weeks back , that he changed up after he went to Deshaun's opening of Lucky's Cheesetakes grand opening. It was like all of a sudden he was on the defense for all things DW outta nowhere to the death. Same with Earl. To me, it sound like some outside sports interests are out there whispering their ears and whining that the fans beating them up. Sometimes I think our boys on the take...and this is from a bruh who worked at 92.3 before it became sports and also worked in the NBA and MLB. I know how the media payola game works and when media personalities start pushing agendas from players and teams they do business with.
Follow that smoke....because he doin a whole lotta fronting for team that has sh*tted on its fanbase for decades, and all of sudden he wanna go Trump revisionist history now? His takes are some emotional feminist 'men be toxic' sound bites. Aint tha time for that BS Earl.

BROWNS fans and the media are being overly dramatic about this entire situation. everyone's lacking perspective, which is weird, and I think speaks to a larger, collective motive. fact is, Deshaun played reasonably well in last year's offense before injury. since then, the organization fired AVP, overhauled the offensive system, let Callahan walk along with Flacco and introduced a new variable in Dorsey. compound that with a decline in offensive line play/health, another failed draft and a stale WR room, and you have a recipe for inefficient football. folks need to look at this team and it's construction (top-down) holistically, and ask themselves "who's buying the groceries?". hint: it's not Haslam, nor is it Stefanski.

I got SOOOO MUCH HATE for this before the season started:
    Elite Browns defense?
QBs who struggled against the 2023 Browns defense: one legged Burrow, Pickett, Tannehill, Pickett, Fields, Cardinals Backup, Texans Backup, Jets Backup
QBs who did good (24+ points) against the 2023 Browns defense: Minshew, Geno Smith, Lamar, Lamar, Russ, Stafford, Injured Trevor Lawrence
Purdy missed a walk off field goal on the road: not good, not embarrassing. Defense sat out week 18.
All the QBs who struggled against the Browns are backups or don't have a job this year.
2023 Browns were last place in red zone defense. 75% TD conversion rate? Absolutely pathetic. Stats is stats. Blame the guy who invented numbers.
Would you rather post stats against BACKUP QUARTERBACKS then acknowledge that Gardner effing Minshew threw up 40, then lost a shootout for a playoff spot to CJ Stroud, who embarrassed the Browns in the playoffs with 45?

@@keithlangfordjr.689 How many of those QBs have starting jobs this year? Fields/Russ: 2x? Steelers were 5 and fucking 1 against the AFC North last year with shitty ass QBs and real defense! Game manager 2.0 X2 this year. Steelers are going 6-0 vs AFC North. Only team in the division with a legit top 5 defense. Don't bet against them if you like money more the Steelers

The Browns' record under the two Lerners was 69-145 (. 322)
The Browns' record under the Haslams is 54-110(.329)
This year’s collapse isn’t an owner problem. We’re still not privy to what happened with this team to cause such a dramatic collapse. I tend to affix more blame on our Head Coach, second on the General Manager Andrew Berry who has pulled some amazing stunts, but can’t seem to field a team with enough confidence in the players to play the players in the game. Week one and we’re short Offensive lineman!? Wtf is that. Week One . Did it occur to the powers to be that this season we may need an offensive lineman or two?
Then again aren’t most of the players sitting back waiting for someone else to step up and be the team leader? There’s no fire under the play of the players anymore. What has broke their spirit? What has left them all like limp noodles.
Don’t get me wrong…I see the efforts by some of the players some of the time . But that ain’t no Ray Lewis is it now?
What about all those penalties? Who gets the blame for those mistakes? Players ? Coaches ? General manager? Owner ? You can affix the blame accordingly.
I’m a lifelong Browns fan even when I lived in cites and states that actually have winning franchises. You don’t change your allegiance based on your zip code that comes from your heart.
We the fans shoulder none of the blame .

Here is the reality. The Browns see the problem with Deshaun as being one of terrible rust. He sat out a full season and then was suspended for 11 games the next season. Then he only played a hand full of games last season. What has he played, 11 games in three years? Not much.
He NEEDS game action more than anything because he has layers of rust and he needs to play to get rid of all that rust and the garbage in his head as well. The Browns have decided that, continuing to play him in the hope that he works through all of that rust and mental garbage, is the long term answer.
Honestly it really is the only answer! They are married to him and they have to try to make it work. He is their quarterback of the future because they paid him a lot of money with a huge cap hit.
The tough part is they are asking the fans to be patient this year and to come to the realization that it was always going to be very difficult to get Deshaun to overcome all he has been through. Granted most of it he brought on himself but it’s there regardless of who is to blame. It is the reality.
A few days ago I was all for boycotting the team to show ownership and management that we are angry as hell and that they have mismanaged the team so poorly, AGAIN! After reconsidering, it was not the right attitude. As fans we have a choice, we can either stick by the team and have patience that this is the only way to make it work or abandon the team in frustration.
I think the only helpful thing we can do for the team is to suck it up, once again, support Kevin in the bad situation he is in, support Deshaun and the ugly struggles he is going through in order to get rid of the rust and support the other players.
I think this is the only way forward that is positive and helpful. The other path is so dark, doom and gloom with no hope. I was there the past few weeks, it’s not helpful and is depressing as hell. Let’s not do that this time. The Browns and their fans have been down that road many times and who wants to visit that place again.
I’m looking at this as an opportunity for me to grow as a person. Kevin has given us good times while he has been here. He’s a good coach and a good guy. I’ve decided I’m going to support him and I’m going to support Deshaun. When do you need support the most? You need support the most when everything is going wrong. When times are the hardest and the future looks really bad.
How do you personally get through those tough times? I’ve had times when I was at the bottom and almost everyone abandoned me. I had a few old buddies who lent me a helping hand, when everybody else didn’t want to know me and who acted like they didn’t know me.
The little bit of support I had helped me, very slowly and over a long period of time, get through it. Without that support I don’t know that I would have made it. The Browns are at the bottom.
We can decide to punish them for their mistakes and bad decisions or help them get back up now that they have fallen. I’m going to try to get over myself and stop trying to show that I’m right, that I’m smart and can see what’s going on and I’m going to punish the Browns and make them pay. They aren’t playing me for a sucker because I know what is going on. They aren’t pulling the wool over my eyes.
The Browns fans know the team is like a family member. How do you treat a loved one, a family member when they fall down and go through hard times? Do you help them up and give them a helping hand? Or do you stand over them and say, hey man you did this to yourself and I hope you suffer a long time?
I’ve been that cold, hard, punishing dude the past few weeks. As the Beatles lyrics of one of their famous songs said, You’re a real nowhere man, living your nowhere land. That was me. I’ve changed my mind and heart now that I understand what the Browns are doing with Deshaun.
I know Kevin can’t come and say, hey we are going play Deshaun come hell or high water because we believe that the more he plays, the better he will get. That is what they are doing but he can’t openly say that. We know how it works. We have see what is going on without the coach spelling it out to us or drawing us a picture. We can either support Kevin and Deshaun, hope that they are right and that it will get better or burn it all down.
I know that Browns fans have used up more patience and hope than any fan base in the league. They are tired and fed up. The thing is that this way forward is our only option. The decisions have been made, the contracts have been signed. We have to put our faith in Kevin and support him now that he is going through these hard times.
I truly feel that if the fan base rally’s around this team, supports them and helps them up, good things will come our way. I know in this darkness it’s hard to see that and that is why we have to bring some light to the situation. Support and help when the guys are down.
One thing I will say to Kevin. For God’s sake give the line some help protecting Deshaun. He’s not going to progress much getting smacked around every game. Max protect or tight ends chipping or helping out with blocking. Do SOMETHING to protect him! Go Browns

I don’t think Kevin is being forced to play Watson I’m one of the few that think that I think he’s loyal to a fault and he knows the team better than we do I doubt Winston would play much better,I think he should bench Watson I would love to see it if Winston played significantly better then we would know for a fact that the problem is Watson and move on.

It's the fans. Yall are easily mislead by personal biases. It happened with Odell, then with Baker, and now with Deshaun.
There's people online who admit they can't read a simple chart and only wants to hate on Deshaun 😂
Your co-worker Jason has been wrong multiple times (o-line being good for example) and shamelessly makes excuses for the people he likes. And he's a beat writer.
Yall went 1-31 7 years ago and were mad that your star quarterback that was winning games wasn't throwing for 300+ yards last year which is why they changed the offense. I bet yall wish yall was 4-1 now huh 😂
Yall don't like outsiders that don't "represent us" but the organization sucks at drafting talent so how do yall expect to win?
And that's just the culture of the fans. When we get to the organization/team things get deeper. People are saying that Stefanski is a good coach but is being forced to play Watson. Well if he's forced to play Watson what makes you think he can control and lead 51 other men that are bigger and stronger than he is? Why doesn't he have back to back winning seasons but he has back to back losing seasons?
Why does AB refuse to aquire players during the season? Everyone knew that offensive line was broke, why didn't/doesn't he go after lineman?
It's disfunction on every level, but yall only blame the people yall don't like and excuse the people yall do like.

Haslam has done a wonderful job hiring a marketing team that are real pro's on how to put lipstick on the Cleveland Browns pig to sell season tickets and merch. Outside of that, Haslam has surrounded himself with Ivy League losers: Berry, DePodesta and Stefanski. DePodesta is a baseball guy. That's his background. He had zero experience in football. Look at Berry's drafts. Most have been awful. How many of his players have gone to the Pro Bowl?!?! Hardly any. Most are roster fillers and busts. Berry's legacy will be the guy who traded for Massage Watson. Not good. Oh and as far as 2 time COTY Stefanski, the NFL had incredibly low expectations on the Browns so it was a real shock Stefanski could have a winning season with the Browns. Also both of those COTY seasons were when the Browns had an incredibly easy schedule. Stefanski should thank the NFL schedulers for his two COTY awards.

People forget that the Ravens feared Baker Mayfield. He had 342, 376, and 342 yards passing in his first three games verse the Ravens. He has more 300+ yard games verse Baltimore than Brady or Manning. Stefanski put the brakes on Baker's passing proficiency.
