Just a idea for the sausage... Cook some a head of time, stick it in a mini frig if you got one (would highly rec-amend one) then when its cool can cut it into bites, and if you got room maybe get a rice steamer then add the cubed sausage to the rice... On my desk I got a Galanz 1.7 Cu ft Single Door Mini Fridge GL17BK.. Tall enough to just fit a 2L bottle of pop in, and deep enough for fit a carton of eggs in so not that much room needed (if you can fit it in seen some semi's with them) Perfect for keeping yogurt cold...

Another great video. I have watched a lot of trucker vlogs. Allie Knight, Indiana Jack, Jade and John, Little Guy, multiple others, but they all disappeared without a word. Then I found you guys back when you were about 6 months in with Werner. Yours is now the only trucking channel I subscribe to. I have thoroughly enjoyed it. It made me want to get back to driving again. But I recently hit a snag. I developed a BP issue. It literally came out of nowhere. As high as 205/ 122, Needless to say I went to the ER, doctors were shocked I didn't have a stroke. The last few days it's been much better today I was 138/80. Thank God. I'm saying this in hopes other drivers pay attention and take care of themselves, as you get older you have to take extra safeguards in looking after yourselves. Avoid the unhealthy truck stop food as much as possible, eat healthier, exercise at least 20 mins a day. Like walking for your 30 min break. You only have one life Take care of yourselves, in doing so you can in a way take care of others around you. If you don't feel right pull over and call for help. Put your ego/pride aside. Y'all take care and be safe on the road. Maybe one day I'll see you guys on the road somewhere.

Driving me bonkers sitting home doing absolutely nothing. ranch work from time I was a kid, till 25, The Navy at 25 till 45, driving from 46 till 55. I'm 60 no I can only watch so much tv and read so many books before I start going koo koo..lol Yall be safe on the road, I know it's tough doing the video's that's why I elected to not do them when I was driving. Maybe it's just me.

@@gregorylyon1004 We understand what you’re saying. In this case we believe there were a lot of trucks in line for fuel and the layout is not very practical.
Been to that loves a million times it's a perty normal fuel stop for me. It's always mess during the day, generally not too bad at night.

Never stop at that Love's. Better to go over to the Pilot of Petro. But get there by 5pm, or no parking. That particular Love's sees 2 or 3 crashes in the parking lot every week.

Hi Kevin and Tanja. You should have seen that Loves in North Little Rock years ago before they remodeled it and added the parking area in back. It was very small. I avoid that Love's at all costs. At night, it's jammed packed, and like most Love's, drivers are parked everywhere blocking in other drivers and drivers not fueling and not pulling forward at the pumps. The pilot on the other side of the highway is always congested, trying to fuel, sometimes backed up to the light. I avoid that Pilot just like the Loves and the Petro there. You got lucky to find the parking spot at that Love's and had an easy escape. Would have been a good time to buy a lottery ticket.
I know that loves very well also interesting to get in there and fuel but also very nice on the inside also definitely get in there early also we stayed at the loves and the flying j also the petro next door is interesting also I have even gotten fuel at the loves right there in north Little Rock also brings back memories

@@TheJoyofTrucking For the most part yes. I was on the 3M dedicated account and got kicked out cause 3M doesn’t wanna pay any Florida drivers basically. So now I’m on the TCU account. So far it’s been a rough start. But I will be coming to Crete as soon as Crete constructs the Lakeland terminal. Otherwise, you, Kevin and I will share a terminal st DeLand lol. I am eventually gonna come over to Crete because I wanna dk OTR 48. Plus Crete pays more then the two accounts I’ve been on.

Yeah, I don't think I would stop at that love even with the car. Bud year air fryer. Is it 12 V or a 110 or doesn't have an inverter, and the tractor to run it in what make? What make air fryer
@@larryberger9095 Good thinking’! 😃 The air fryer is 120V and 1,000 watts. That’s why we got the little one on board. The big ones are too much for the inverter in Crete trucks. Our inverter is only 1,200 watts. It’s a great versatile cooking tool. It’s made by DASH.
do u find it hard to get sleep? im not talking about mattress comfort , i mean its hard to relax sometimes because of where your parked
@@harryknutts8428 Usually too tired to worry about anything. We always make sure we park somewhere where we feel safe. Only thing that can disturb our sleep is noise and auto-start and mosquitoes that might have gotten in. 😃

@@jasonmoss-qk8oh no I meant Crete doesn’t take anyone with less than a year experience anymore. Used to be 0-6 months no, 6-12 months trainer. Now a year and no trainer unless you screw up multiple times

Tanja, what brand is your air fryer? All the ones i see are too many watts for the power inverter. I saw a mini air fryer 700 watts, but it looks small. Does the air fryer get hot underneath? Is it very hard to clean? Thanks 🙂
@@robyn2344 Hey there. It’s called DASH and is 1,000 watts. Our inverter is 1,200. I don’t recall if it gets hot underneath. More where the air blows out. As for cleaning, it depends on what you cook. You can use liners to help keep it clean. The little grill rack is tough to clean when I cook certain things. But it’s all worth it. I’ll often put things in without the rack. We use a spray bottle for soapy water and another with clean water for rinsing. And paper towels. We don’t use microwaves so this is great even for heating soup. Big mix of stuff to heat. Or even making toast. 😃Hope that helps.

I am listening to the truck engine and transmission when you get off the accelerator and start to slow down. Is Kevin down shifting the transmission manually (I assume this truck has an automatic transmission) or does the tranny shift down automatically and I can hear the downshifts?

@@TheJoyofTrucking been a regional driver. Local now. I make just as much and I’m not living out of my truck. These places take advantage of us. I make good money now and home everyday. You gross 1600 and take home a 1000. I am not far from that.

@@TheJoyofTrucking we do differnt broker loads. Out and backhaul to the yard. If it needs to go further then a driver takes it from the yard and delivers. It’s a rotation of sorts. Every load is differnt.
