Just like your River Patrol review I had to also check the price of only the box and manual, and while there was no box listing, the manual goes for $228.49! Insane. Now I see why you used the 2600jr instead of your 7800.
Glad to see you're still doing 2600 reviews! I also watch that channel that does history of the 2600 games, who recently dropped one on the first games of 1982. He did one on another space shooter like this. After Gorf and Phoenix/Demon Attack, there really wasn't much innovation, except for Galaga. Too bad no one else used the idea of having two ships together that fire two shots until you lose a ship. Who wants to play with a fat, wide ship if there's no advantage?
This was one of the first games I got as a Venesuelan bootleg (as "Demond Attack" sic) along with Mr. Postman, Snail vs Squirrel, Bobby is Going Home, and Dice Puzzle. None of them are very good when compared to the classics, but it is a fascinating overlooked piece of videogame history.
Looks like something I would type in to play on my Commodore VIC-20 from a magazine with a machine language adapter with 3-digit or 4-digit codes. I probably wouldn't play it much after that.
@Sandal_Thong You mean they would put entire programs in magazines and you could enter them into your computer yourself?? That’s fascinating. This must be before most people had downloading capabilities.
I was just thinking the other day if they had put smart bombs on the right controller's fire button and joystick-right, and hyperspace on joystick left, it might have worked whether you had the second joystick or paddles plugged in, and if someone came out with a custom joystick allowing multiple fire buttons that would plug in to both ports. So much wasted potential, if they'd only retired the 2600 at the end of 1981....
@Sandal_Thong You know what’s interesting? There is a modern 2600 homebrew, Scramble, that uses two buttons on a Sega Genesis control pad at the same time, so what you’re describing is entirely possible. It is completely mind blowing to me that no one thought to do this on the 2600.
This game literally just tried to vilify an endangered species??? Maybe it was karma that put Ultravision out of business? Game kinda reminds me of Phoenix.
Dang $175 Atari 2600 game, that’s actually amazing to see such a priced game for the console.
A really rare game that doesn't completely suck!

Why is there no Conan guy in the game as depicted on the label?
How did I know that this was going to look just like Demon Attack?

Good video! Never seen this game before! Interesting game! For the Atari 2600 system!
Never seen or heard of it before,

There is still more about the 2600 that needs to be discussed & that just makes me happy 🥹🫡🇺🇸
Would you consider reviewing Jawbreaker? It won't cost as much as Condor Attack!
Gotta love glitch filled crash titles.
this looks like demon attack or pheonix
Whoa... Defender at 208? 😲
IMHO Defender is not really playable on the 2600. The one that gets me is Infiltrate, which I find fun despite its flaws. I would have it top 100.
Defender is a mess, Stargate is how they should have done it, great conversion

If you compare it to the many other versions out there it's not as good, but I do quite enjoy the game.

That game discription sounds like propaganda written by a Brazilian logging company

Game kinda reminds me of Phoenix.
Reminds me of space invaders.
Nice video
Glitchy, glitchy, and very expensive.
How do you afford these things? I'm jealous lol.
It looks like a blatant knockoff of Phoenix on the 2600, only with fewer enemies on screen, and worse sprites.
Face reveal 🙏
