I kinda hate how they didn't resolve this place, I'm bored of Lamentis-1 already. Now it has to bleed into the next episode.. ugh they better wrap it up quickly.
Sylvie said that she's spent her entire life running from the TVA. That combined with the fact that Loki is the version of Loki that is supposed to exist, makes me think Sylvie is the daughter of a variant meaning she was never supposed to exist in the first place. Her mom could have been pruned while she was a kid, which would explain why she doesn't really remember her, and why there was both a level of sadness and softness in her description of her mom
I think her being born a female is what created the variation and the time keepers that came to get her and send her to be judged, felt pity for the newborn baby and went rogue... I mean, TVA has no use of a baby so she would have been pruned. Anyway this is how she knew how to evade them, because her adoptive parents kept running to stay alive. After a while away from the TVA they probably remembered their lives so this is why she knows they are all variants, but since she was a baby when the variation happened, she does not know her powers don't work in there (she might have learned to use them after both her parents died and it didn't occur to them to tell her)
usually when an episode ends its like "aw man i want more please dont end", this time its like "no this is the middle of an episode what are you doing"
I think that something terrible must have happened when she was still called Loki. And that because of that she changed her name to Sylvie. Also I think Sylvie is actually from before the "Sacred Timeline" was formed. I mean so far she is the only female Loki variant (while all the others are male) and while she was still adopted it was either not by Odin and Frigga (she told Loki she was not a princess or she was adopted by them, but Frigga died very early on.

I really think this show is going to be the true birth of the MCU multiverse. Loki (along with Sylvie) are going to really mess things up, the TVA is going to end up in ruins, and that's going to directly result in the "Multiverse of Madness" and the Spider-Verse shenanigans we'll be getting soon. The show even seemed to hint at the Secret Wars from the comics, so that could very well be a possible film later down the line that brings heroes and villains from all across the multiverse together for an epic throwdown.
I read that the spider-man trailer is ready, but Kevin Feige asked to not release it yet... The theory is that the trailer has spoilers of Loki's final events and they're waiting for the show to finish to show us the trailer... And since the movie is about the multiverse, it’s kind of confirmed that it’s all going to start in Loki
I just realized that it's only fitting the Multiverse be blown open and thrown into chaos by the god of mischief himself. The man who first challenged the Avengers won't be a "villain-of-the-week" type situation anymore. Loki & Sylvie are going to fuck shit up in ridiculous ways and I am all here for it. Marvel planted the seed in WV (possible other dimensions, just like we've seen the quantum realm exist), and now adding variants, a whole sacred timeline we are "suppose to follow" P.S. The theory about Renslayer being Kang's girlfriend is something that is actually pretty cool. If Loki and Sylvie by the end were able to wake up all the variants in the TVA, thereby releasing more MAYHEM into the multiverse (b/c god knows how pissed these people are gonna be, it's like Westview but 100x) it would be really cool to see Renslayer in communication with someone. She clearly is hiding something or is just as brainwashed as the others
What I'm still confused about is if the multiverse is not yet "blown open" as you say, how are there multiple different Lokis on the one sacred timeline?
@@chrisofstars TLDR; Multiverse has always been here. Time-Keepers just erase any variants and make sure everyone follows the sacred timeline. What I'm taking from this episode since we have 3 more left is that the TVA themselves will probably fix most of the reset charges Sylvie had sent out, possibly all of them who knows. From what we do know, every single other variant Loki has been reset. Like the tour de france Loki we saw, the hulk Loki, all of these are ones they captured and probably reset their respective timelines. The sacred timeline is what is "meant to happen". So the multiverse definitely exists, but it seems the Time Keepers or possibly Renslayer & Kang want certain things to happen or simply just want to keep order while they do their own thing. Ultimately, I think Loki and Sylvie will "blow open" the multiverse through their actions in maybe episode 5 and 6. I hope this helped out a little bit fam! Basically the multiverse exists and is real, however the Time-Keepers are not allowing it to fully develop because 1 sacred timeline is how they want to run things (as we are to believe)
@@chrisofstars P.S. I was gonna edit my reply but thought this would be better. We do not know this yet, but the TVA could be centered in the quantum realm or another place entirely out space and time. That could be why they are able to reset things at any given time. And don't listen to the Aaron Lassiter dude, condescending comments like that are from people with poor communication skills
Also, rising to storytelling climax and then just ending is how it has felt to read a really good comic book story arc from week to week forever. They've just now figured out how to do it on screen now. :-)
Jay's Frigga theory makes all kinds of sense. The Asgardian part of the song almost sounded like a lullaby. One that both Frigga and Sylvie sang to their children?
Mobius was going so fast and pulled off a move so awesome on his jet ski that it created an alternate timeline. The original one in the sacred timeline died in the most horrifically mangled way possible however.
When they showed the little yellow variant guy in the animation get carried off by the TVA agents, did they show what happened to him? They showed the time line going back. We expected them to have pruned him off screen. Now we know the truth.
That Big Beef and Cheddar is just like the Eldritch horrors, always just festering under surface, yearning to break free. Daring you to speaks it's name.
Definitely love her character ,, a great addition to the MCU.. They have a lot of potential here if they keep doing her right... This variant could just be the enchantress version for the MCU... The enchantress is a cool ass character one of my favorite female badish characters... Watch some of the cartoons you'll see why especially earths mightiest heroes the avengers cartoon series also on disney + ,, The enchantress is done very well in that cartoon series.. We just need to see how she reacts to Thor lol She's basically in love with him/Infatuated with him. Also the moon that they're on is on the edge of Kree space
Love seeing Loki use more of his powers. Also being Swedish I understood some of that Aguardian, I wanna know if it's something made up or just Icelandic or Danish or what.
I think most of it was Norwegian. I missed some words, but I'm not sure if that was just a pronunciation issue or if they put in some other languages as well. Really cool though!
Someone who speaks Norwegian commented in another video about it and translated. It's actually a pretty little poem. Something about misty mountains and glaciers.
And the TVA is in the quantum realm. It’s the city from ant man. Owen Wilson said Time moves differently through the TVA. It’s the same thing that Ant-man said in endgame about the quantum realm
Seeing Loki stop that giant pillar coming down just pisses me off more at Marvel! 10 years, TEN YEARS, of never letting Loki off the leash as far as his powers go. At times, even making him inept, even when their own canon said differently. Grrrr.
EXACTLY. I think his character really got shafted by being introduced at a time when the MCU was still concerned with being *somewhat* down to Earth and grounded in our reality, or something reasonably close to it. They couldn't have him come in being all balls-to-the-wall crazy-powerful sorcerer. By the time Scarlet Witch and Doc Strange were introduced, the MCU didn't need to hold back anymore. But I guess they just decided to keep Loki as "the illusion guy" instead of letting him be an actual sorcerer.
Btw, excellent prononciation from Tom in the Nordic/Asgardian song! It was really beautiful. Also, that Loki sing a song of Lament, on the planet Lamentis, with the episode named the same, I think have quite a lot of meaning. The end of the song, while he looks at Sylvie, he sings a question: "When will you come home?"
and that scene with both of them having a one to one conversation with the only unifying topic between them both was their mothers, no shit i began to tear up
I think Sylvie is a Loki but they’ve combined her with characteristics of Enchantress from the comics. I also think she’s from one of the timelines that existed before the TVA. Her timeline wasn’t pruned the moment it deviated (since she clearly had time to grow up despite her childhood being completely different from the sacred timeline) which suggests it isn’t a branch at all, but existed prior to the multiversal war. My theory is she’s one of the few people left from before the “Sacred Timeline.” Also, being “reset” probably means being mind-wiped and becoming a TVA agent, not executed as was assumed.
Did Loki Just straight Up Used Reverse Time? if You Look Closely. it reversed. Maybe using Time Stone??? also that ONE SCENE TAKE! Its Like Children of Men Scene with a 1917 vibe oh and So sylvie is Lady Loki as she said shes not loki anymore. then her powers are enchantment its like Enchantress / Sylvie / Lady Loki = All in One
HAHAHAHA. That ending though...made me feel like a balloon. You blow it up and up and up throughout the chapter and suddenly when it's almost about to explode...you just deflates it slowly...DAAAAMN!! 🤣

That Wolfram and Hart reference 👌 Also, I 100% Adamed when the episode ended. My brain couldn't comprehend that it was over. Like, fantastic episode, but rude!
i think what makes sylvie a variant of loki is the fact that she was born a girl, so she doesn't really remember her mom bc the tva took her when she was young idk though thats my guess so far i really have no idea whats going on
Taking variants to be "reset", doesn't mean reset their timeline, instead it's reset their minds. Also...did Mobius give the judge all those trophies and then become aware he was a variant, which made the TVA need to reset him over and over again?
So if you want a translation of that song, it's my own translation so hope the grammar is ok: In storm black mountains, I wander alone Over the glaciers, I make my way In the apple garden stands the maiden, the fair, and sings: When are you coming home? 👏👏👏 But the cranes are dancing and the waterfalls stops when she sings, she sings: come home. 👏👏👏
Great content as always lads! Irish subscriber here - love a lot of your reactions! Keep up the good work :) Also loved this episode and agree with Adam - where's the rest!! So... A few people are commenting that Sylvie is in Loki's mind (i.e. enchanting him) and some that he is in hers (which is a lot less likely IMO). I think it's more likely a subtle mental battle where he's doing a real Loki (which we haven't seen him manage to do so far this series) and switched the tempad with an illusion at the start. It never ran out of battery and its not broken. He brought her to a doomed apocalypse scenario where he could gradually make things worse and worse and, at the same time, build rapport and trust (family stories, song, slightly inept and bumbling and "needing her"). Full on grift. In the end, when he has learnt what he wants to, (including it seems how to enchant) he'll pull out the real one and save himself (aaaand mabe her?) At the same time, he's put himself in a position where he really has to work and use his powers like we've never seen before, plus not get enchanted, plus he's on a tight timeline... He's having the time of his life right now!!
In the comics, there was a Sylvie enchantress. Her powers were given to her by Loki, who was also hinted to maybe even just create her outright. This may be a rework of that character, with some classic Loki and Amora the Enchantress thrown in the mix :)
Dawn of the Final Day as the thumbnail 🤣 Nice MM reference. The action sequence at the end was shot very strangely. I think it was supposed to feel like one of the long single-shot Daredevil sequences, but it reminded me most of theme park rides where they have you in a seat with limited motion and a screen in front of you.
My thought always was that the TVA was staffed by people that came from different timelines that were pruned for the sake of the Sacred Timeline, this kind of seems like it confirms it if all the TVA are variants. As well, Sylvie saying 'if anything, you're me' to Loki previously gave me vibes that she came first and her timeline was one that was also cut, and her dialogue in this episode also kind of confirms that she well predates him.

@PReview’d, I don’t understand why people wondered if Sylvie was a Loki or not. The TVA takes pictures of temporal auras because while no two variants are the same in their physical appearances and/abilities, their auras never change-that was our first and biggest clue. The file Loki looked through in the diary read Sylvie Laufeydottir-another big hint, though I’ll grant you that the camera didn’t zoom in on that. But we also had Hunter B-15 confirm that the variant they encountered was the one they were looking for. You know, the one Loki is experienced in knowing because he himself is a Loki-Mobius point out several times that understanding 2012 Loki would help the TVA understand the Loki they were tracking. Lastly, Loki’s bio stated that he was gender fluid. I know this is something many likely missed, but I think this is why the second episode started with the mission brief showing that Loki could look a little like 2012 Loki or nothing like him at all. Call me crazy, but the two episodes might have been trying to tell the audience that the TVA was tracking Loki all along. Naming the series Loki might not have been enough =\
Loki I’m pretty sure was singing Norwegian. Took Norwegian in college, and although I don’t remember many words, there were some words in Loki’s song I did recognize. Wondering if it had something to do with Asguard’s history with Norway in the MCU…
I have an theory: the space iPad works just fine. Loki is using his illusion powers to keep it hidden while he gets info from female Loki. He also has the Time Stone. That's why he was able to reverse the building dropping on them. Loki has a plan.
My theory is that originally Sylvie was never supposed to be born, hence why she's "been runnning away from them all my life". That'd also explain why she doesn't remember her mom because she was reset.

Appreciate you. Thanks for picking that reference up 😁
I love it when Marvel is bisexuals with mommy issues 😫✋🏻💖
My favorite part of this whole video is that the one time Adam doesn't have to remember to announce Patreon, he has to remind Jay to remind us 😂
me before starting the video: it’s jayyyy and adammm, it’sss previewdd
I just realized that it's only fitting the Multiverse be blown open and thrown into chaos by the god of mischief himself. The man who first challenged the Avengers won't be a "villain-of-the-week" type situation anymore. Loki & Sylvie are going to fuck shit up in ridiculous ways and I am all here for it. Marvel planted the seed in WV (possible other dimensions, just like we've seen the quantum realm exist), and now adding variants, a whole sacred timeline we are "suppose to follow"
"What they need is a gonk droid."
"Hi! I'm Omega! Remember? From the other Disney franchise?"
Also, rising to storytelling climax and then just ending is how it has felt to read a really good comic book story arc from week to week forever. They've just now figured out how to do it on screen now. :-)
Sylvie is reveled to be the daughter of Laufey (Laufeydottir) so it’s going to be so cool to hear her background story!
But she also said "Dont call me Loki, thats not who I am ANYMORE" so at one time, she was a Loki.
Don't say facts man, it's the internet here
Jay's Frigga theory makes all kinds of sense. The Asgardian part of the song almost sounded like a lullaby. One that both Frigga and Sylvie sang to their children?
Yup. Lullaby. That’s what I was thinking but couldn’t come up with the word. I think your spot on!
A show always gets bonus points for allowing you to use the word defenestrated.
Adam's reaction when the episode ended was exactly how I felt too😂😂
Oh yeah I know Mobious has to have been a jet ski instructor or salesman before he became a variant!
Mobius was going so fast and pulled off a move so awesome on his jet ski that it created an alternate timeline.
The original one in the sacred timeline died in the most horrifically mangled way possible however.
@@senhowler this^^
When they showed the little yellow variant guy in the animation get carried off by the TVA agents, did they show what happened to him? They showed the time line going back. We expected them to have pruned him off screen. Now we know the truth.
What if mobius Is in the MCU created the jet ski
My reaction to the end of the episode was exactly the same, love it.
I had the same reaction when the episode ended lol , also…….X-men confirmed! 😂
I discovered you guys tonight and I’m binging all of Loki. So much more enjoyable with you both! ❤
Adam short circuiting as the ep ended might just be my favourite reaction to anything since Luke Vader-ed his way down that hallway. 😂
@@amandas2639 No misty mountains; he sings "storm black mountains", Stormsvarta fjäll. But glaciers where correct!
@@Sm0kingGun I understood everything and I am a Swede. If it's not Norwegian it's a Norwegian and Swedish mix.
@@EEmB Yeah it might be a bit of both, or I just suck at my own language.. it's cool either way though. Love the show!
Adam's reactions at the cliff hanger endings have been priceless.
Jay giving us what an Owen Wilson jet ski would sound like with the "Wow Wooooooooow" is the content I've subscribed for.
The dedication to getting that Patreon plug in is a thing of beauty
@@amandas2639 It's a shame though:)
Btw, excellent prononciation from Tom in the Nordic/Asgardian song! It was really beautiful.
Also, that Loki sing a song of Lament, on the planet Lamentis, with the episode named the same, I think have quite a lot of meaning. The end of the song, while he looks at Sylvie, he sings a question: "When will you come home?"
and that scene with both of them having a one to one conversation with the only unifying topic between them both was their mothers, no shit i began to tear up
Mobius is from Earth 1995 and barely remembers jetskis.
I would be so pissed off if somebody made me forget the 90s And if I were to find out There would be nobody to stop me from killing everybody involved
My theory is she’s one of the few people left from before the “Sacred Timeline.”
Also, being “reset” probably means being mind-wiped and becoming a TVA agent, not executed as was assumed.
Did Loki Just straight Up Used Reverse Time?
if You Look Closely. it reversed. Maybe using Time Stone???
also that ONE SCENE TAKE!
Its Like Children of Men Scene with a 1917 vibe
oh and So sylvie is Lady Loki as she said shes not loki anymore. then her powers are enchantment its like
Enchantress / Sylvie / Lady Loki = All in One
Great movie references.
He has telekinesis
Also enchantress and sylvie are the same person
It's his telekinesis abilities he used it in Thor the dark world.
@@iraford3702 and episode 2 when he summoned the romba
Loving you guys so much!! I hope you did this all the way through season 2. Much love dears ❤
I’m with you. Adam, your expression was exactly mine. Cmon marvel. We need more of our marvel fix
HAHAHAHA. That ending though...made me feel like a balloon. You blow it up and up and up throughout the chapter and suddenly when it's almost about to explode...you just deflates it slowly...DAAAAMN!! 🤣
Breaking News! Adam has just been signed to A multi picture deal. Based on his reaction -Marvel has found him to be the best fit for a new superhero. And introductions Adam as “Apoplectic”
That Wolfram and Hart reference 👌
Also, I 100% Adamed when the episode ended. My brain couldn't comprehend that it was over. Like, fantastic episode, but rude!
Definitely the best frustrating ending for an episode of any show in a while. How can you end on a sequence like that?!
i think what makes sylvie a variant of loki is the fact that she was born a girl, so she doesn't really remember her mom bc the tva took her when she was young idk though thats my guess so far i really have no idea whats going on
"That was a great sequence" Ok, Thanks, bye!
Taking variants to be "reset", doesn't mean reset their timeline, instead it's reset their minds. Also...did Mobius give the judge all those trophies and then become aware he was a variant, which made the TVA need to reset him over and over again?
Holy shy!!
So if you want a translation of that song, it's my own translation so hope the grammar is ok:
In storm black mountains, I wander alone
Over the glaciers, I make my way
In the apple garden stands the maiden, the fair, and sings:
When are you coming home?
👏👏👏 But the cranes are dancing and the waterfalls stops when she sings,
she sings: come home. 👏👏👏

Great content as always lads! Irish subscriber here - love a lot of your reactions! Keep up the good work :)
Also loved this episode and agree with Adam - where's the rest!!
In the end, when he has learnt what he wants to, (including it seems how to enchant) he'll pull out the real one and save himself (aaaand mabe her?)
At the same time, he's put himself in a position where he really has to work and use his powers like we've never seen before, plus not get enchanted, plus he's on a tight timeline... He's having the time of his life right now!!
That was OUR Loki who stopped that building from falling. Sylvie is an amalgamation of Enchantress and Lady Loki.
15:32 Marvel's finally showing us Loki's power! He can do more than just illusions and daggers!
That ending made me want to LOKI SCREAM! Excellent reaction!
Adam's reaction to the credits starting to roll. Priceless.
Calling it Sylvie is Thor!!! Getting revenge for Brother Loki's death!!!
i have never heard that sound come out of a human being before!! 16:00 min dude started devolving! hahaha
Ah! I saw my name! Happy to support you mad lads! Thanks again for getting me into Invincible! Almost finished reading the series!
Loki was basically singing _"When are you coming home?"_ in the part where you wondered what significant thing was.
The cliffhanger that broke Adam.
Just call Heimdall to get of the planet, am i right? oh wait wrong timeline, never mind
To piggy back off all the Dr. Who references, if Sylvie pulls a River Song, I"m gonna die.
Spoilerrrrs… 🤣

@PReview’d,
I don’t understand why people wondered if Sylvie was a Loki or not.
Naming the series Loki might not have been enough =\
that drastic cut to Jay saying about patreon had me rolling for a solid minute......
I just discovered your channel, you both are hilarious and not over the top. Plus you enjoy each other's company obviously which is so pleasing.
