Thanks for the video. I have the same issue with the miter bar being a bit too wide.
What did you use to sand the bar?

I used an orbital sander with 80 grit. Light touch till it fit snuggly.

Mine arrived with non threaded holes in the miter bar

The bar is aluminum, it should be easy to tap. Although, you should not have to do that. They need better QC.
