I delivered a package to these guys for my job. I didn't even know they had a TH-cam channel then. They were super chill and professional. I just stumbled onto this channel after my delivery to them.
I would recommend for anyone putting a sound system into their z to be cautious drilling holes behind the seats because normally that’s where the fuel tank sits! Obviously this has no fuel tank but for anyone thinking that’s a good place to put it, do it somewhere else lol

Gotta give props to Nissan the FM platform handled this project way better than I thought , was expecting over 4100lbs with the EV conversion, suspension and new audio system.

Honestly this is probably one of my favorite builds. Not a fan of “electrify the world” because that feels like more of an agenda than a choice, but making a cool car from the past and combining it with electrification. That right there is bliss.

Once the car is fully functional, I’d love to see a dyno day. Not sure what all you can do on an EV to dyno tune it, but I’d love to see how much wheel HP it makes!

I was wondering about that. Is it only when accelerating or all the time on the highway? It would drive me insane (more anyway) and surely the tesla doesn't sound like this?

I use to drive a 1980's golf/rabbit, with the same weight in sound system in the dame vehicle. I could not listen to it a t full volume, it would break windows.

Would it be possible to take the two rear motors from the Tesla P100 or Plaid and do a setup with 4 motors 2 front and 2 back in a truck or SUV?
Ain’t nobody got room for that. You would need 32 modules to power 4 motors. Perhaps a Ford F650? Lol
Definitely possible if you can find the room and parts, but the batteries as always with evs would be the limiting factor. 🤔
I mean rivian has 4 motors on the r1t, hummer is 3 motors. The new Silverado will be 4 motors, the lordstown endurance has 4 in wheel motors. So it's been done already. 👍🏻

Do a drag race with tesla plaid
No match for a plaid. I suggested that aem get together with other ev swaps(like this, the rywire ev s2k, bisimotos tesla swap widebody Porsche 935 etc. To rent a track for an invite only type deal. Where people with evs and ev swapped cars can get together to race em with no ice burners allowed. Aem now has their testang running right which is an 07gt swapped to a tesla rwd setup, runs 11.7s on st tires. But they think with some more tuning and sticky tires it's got a low 11 or high 10 in it. Only weighs about 3300# to. 🤔
