YES to all of this!!! I have high porosity hair and have learned that slathering on more products is not going to make my hair look, feel, or perform better. What happens is it gets dragged down, heavy, and no body. When I use fewer products, I have the BEST hair days!!!! On to part two!

Preach....the worst thing of the natural movement was folks think they don't need to go to a hair dresser. I'm high porosity and have always been as a young teen and I never had any chemicals at that nor any major heat. My mom always wore a pony tail had a relaxer once in her life she also high porosity... I'm growing out my relaxer going back natural yet again...I was a straight natural..roller set....no need to flat iron.

I have high porosity hair. I shampoo and condition with my redken acidic bonding shampoo and conditioner .. add a heat protectant and serum then blow dry lol then I'll do a flexible rod set or something or some braids😅
I don’t recommend oil in the hair or scalp period. Nothing goes on the scalp but shampoo. Please look through my channel I have so many videos on the topic.
I have done that hair porosity test( the one in glass of water) years before, i remember it indicated i had high porosity now whenever i do it, it floats being low porosity, but i’ve read other signs which tell me it’s high porosity. How do i really know
When I spritz my hair with room temperature hair my hair doesn’t feel moisturized, I always have to put hot water in the bottle for it to feel soft and be more flexible, does that mean I have low porosity hair?
Porosity relates to your ability to hold water. Thus, I’d say porosity level is best shown by how long your hair holds on to water. If your hair stays wet all day after you wash (i.e. holds water all day) and takes forever to air dry, you are most likely low porosity. If your hair air dries quickly (30 minutes like mine), you are most likely high porosity.
My hair is dyed just dyes it.. water seems to strip it more hair is falling out using conditioner there are no curl patterns and the hair is weakened I don’t know what to do

No that’s not what that means test your porosity for free on my website link in bio.

I don’t recommend wash n gos in any way but oil is always the best way to detangle.
