This is one of the better videos out there describing the anatomy and treatment of horizontal canal (geotropic) BPPV!

I started getting vertigo a week ago, it seemed manageable until 3 days ago when it became debilitating. A week earlier an older woman told me she had the crystals and the Dr gave her exercises. Her words came back so I researched all thing vertigo. Your video's seemed the best so tried the epley maneuver, no change, tried the log roll next and it got so bad I was afraid to move. Now fearful to try any more I kept getting the nudge to keep looking. I found this one called Gufoni and when I sat up I knew I was much better. Not 100% but as the video says I will repeat it. Thank you for your work in giving us this information. It takes a heart dedicated to helping others to do all of this and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Thanks I had BPPV for 3days. I tried Epley it was uncomfortable especially on the affected ear. I'm glad I found this alternative. The dizziness stopped after this exercise. God bless you for sharing.

Thank you for providing this information and support to those of us who need it! Tremendously helpful! Have sent the treatment video links to several who have had issues and were confused as to what was going on, and it helped them.

Does it matter if it is geotropic or apeotropic?

I started with posterior bppv and did the epley. Suddenly got worse, so it went into the horizontal canal. I did this gufoni exercise 4 times in a row and much better. If you start treating the Left with the epley your continue to treat the left always with the gufoni

3:02 Why would you feel dizzy if you laid sideways on your uninvolved side?

What if you do the wrong side? What happens or what if its both sides? How do I fix that?

Awesome video! Do u still test for Apogeotrophic or geotrophic? Or you just always treat for geotrophic? Thank you

Thanks for this! Is that a 90 degree turn into the pillow? Tied back hair would help!

Hi there, I'm currently doing Epley right now and was wondering if I could do all 3 canal treatments. Or should I only do one of the 3? If I can do all 3 in what order should I do them in? Thanks again!

as of recently im having 6 of these attacks a day at random and unexpected times its so horrible and affecting my life a lot now. I will be sitting down and just look upwards or to the left and its triggered or walking along the street and itjust happens and the dizziness can last anywhere from 10sec to 1 minute. I am in the UK and they have given me betahistine 16mg but that is only for 7 days which helps alot and i think it has reduced the frequency of attacks but im worried what happens when the drugs finish because they are not intended for long term. Also when walking in a straight line i feel as tho i am moving slightly off towards the left i dont know if this is part of this condition.
