Something you might want to look at are the 48 port keystone patch panels, that are 1U in height. They are the Signamax 48U-HDMMP-1R panels. That way I can have higher density in the racks. I then use the Infinite Cables Ultra thin Cat6 clear boot 6" patch cables. That way you can see the lights easily on the switches through the connectors.
In my home system I have dual ISP feeds, one fiber and one 5G backup and then 32 port Aggregating switch those then feed out with 20G link to the 24 Port Pro POE switch and 48 port Pro POE with 40G link. With 8000 sq feet we have lots of AP's and extra switches, cameras, phones all out and about. I run as much of the home on POE as I can as I have large UPS' on the network side. Anything that is 5V or 12VDC is powered from the switch for the most part, that way things can continue to work including RPI's and EPS32's etc.
Keep up the good work sir! 🤠👍

I like that especially in those racks where there's not much room. Sound like you got a rockin' network!!!😁Love it my friend!

I'm going to be honest. I did not walk away from this video feeling like a patch panel was necessary. I could bundle my cat5 together along the side of the rack, and plug them in that way. Also, my switches/routers are faced toward the back, so I don't have them dragged through the front. Is there something else I'm missing in the benefits of a patch panel?

Sounds like your situation may be a little different than most, and that's ok. If your switch connects from the front then a patch panel just manages it well. I used to bundle them myself till I discovered how much patch panels organized it better. Not really a wrong way if what you have is ok with you. Thanks for the comment my friend.
