- Kenpachi finally achieved bankai in BLEACH chapter 669. This unexpected transformation left us all jaw dropped due to the raw power that Kenpachi demonstrates in this form, he was easily able to overpower the gigantic Gerard Valkyrie as he transforms into a mindless berserker. In this video I will explain what led up to Kenpachi’s bankai transformation, as well as discussing its future potential for growth, and why the bankai form of Nozarashi is not to be taken lightly.

I think you missed one bit.
His zanpakuto didn't take the form of Yachiru. Yachiru was the physical manifestation of his zanpakuto the whole time

I agree with you. Otherwise, it would make no sense that she temporarily disappeared after kenpachi’s fight with gremmy, when kenpachi was going frantic looking for her. Then she “randomly” appeared to help him in activating his bankai. Yachiru has always’s been some version of a physical manifestation of Kenpachi’s Zanpakuto.
When I saw Kenpachi's Bankai for the first Time I legit had Goosebumps. It was so Unexpected. Dude Unlocked both Shikai and Bankai on the same day. It's also Poetic how his Bankai is Nameless like himself.

Kubo stated that Nozarashi's sword spirit is an adult version of Yachiru and that Yachiru was a small piece of the sword spirit broken away and manifested in the outside world kinda like Azashiro's zanpakuto and the reason Yachiru vanished after the war was because she had remerged back with the main body of the sword spirit

BTW alot of people get this wrong but when kenpachi goes bankai he doesn't cut gerard's arm he bites on his knuckle and reaps his arm of like a pitbull (true savage moment).

I think the most interesting aspect of Kenpachi's bankai is how he got it. Everyone else has to basically force their zanpakuto into submission in order to attain bankai, meanwhile the mindless brute most known for saying "swords are just tools" is actually the one with the deepest and most intimate connection with his zanpakuto spirit, and the way Yachiru says "what everyone else calls bankai" implies that Kenpachi got a more complete or better version of it. Though I'm sure if you asked Kenpachi what he would choose he would 100% absolutely pick having his closest friend back in material form over shikai/bankai.

Kenpachi is so powerful that even his own body can't sometimes handle it. When he goes full berserk watch out as Toshiro and Byakuya pointed out. He's truly a legacy OP monster of Gotei 13.
I don't think that's really a feat per say. Soul Society Ichigo couldn't handle the power from his Bankai, but he wasn't OP back then
And in context it's not really a hype moment for Kenpachi either, as Yachiru raised his Reiatsu to fight Vollstandig Gerard and match his power, and his body couldn't handle it, but Toshiro and Byakuya both had the Reiatsu to fight Gerard and the bodies to handle it
That aside, Kenpachi Toshiro and Byakuya are the top 3 Gotei Shinigami by the end and Kenny probably surpassed them in CFYOW

*Theory:* Kenpachi retrieved his Zanpakuto from a dead body, so it was already a partially formed Asauchi. This is why his Zanpakuto was able to manifest in its Bankai Form, yet also use a unique Shikai, posing as his Lieutenant, as it was subjugating the partially formed Asauchi and modifying it, allowing it to use that strength, instead of its own.
From the beginning, Yachiru appeared from nowhere, stroking Kenpachi's sword. Both had no names, yet they bonded throughout the years, far surpassing the bond that Renji achieved with his Zanpakuto. However, a name is important in Bleach, they hold immeasurable power, so their bond was only one of understanding and spirituality, not one of power.
Yachiru understood the paradox that Kenpachi was in. He loved to fight, but his opponents were too weak, so he weakened himself. Any increase in power would be a curse, not a boon, and would only cause him to become weaker, to compensate.
Only after he kills Unohana, is this paradox resolved, as he no longer has weak opponents. However, that doesn't negate the many years of atrophy that his body has undergone, from under usage, so his body still isn't prepared to use his FULL strength, which is his Bankai, where he holds absolutely nothing back, using everything he has with each strike made.
*Bankai:* I believe that his mindless bloodlust, is to remove ALL possible mental constraints, making him use only instinct, to have him fight at 100% at all times. Once his atrophied body becomes used to his unrestrained power, he won't damage himself anymore.

There’s a weirdly vocal contingent that refuses to believe that Yachiru is Kenpachis sword. The wiki outright ignores it. I honestly have no idea why.
There’s only two possible explanations to what happens to Yachiru. 1) She is Kenpachis sword or 2) She Abandons soul society and for some reason takes off her clothes and darts away.

In novel he is capable of facing soul king candidates, the lvl ichigo, aizen was during tybw zaraki reached that level in novel.

Novel Kenpachi one shot Ikimidomue the strongest ever to exist Hollow with eye patch on, one arm with hikone absorbed along with soul king fragments. I don't think Aizen nor Ichigo is doing that. To say that he's on their lvl at the TYBW is an insult.
@@SuperCrysis92 I think they could I also like to point out the novels are a huge wankfest to Kenpachi including SAFWY which can be disregarded unless Kubo connects it to the manga which he has not. You can tell Narita is a huge kenpachi fan because even Kubo also being a fan wouldn’t write him like that, this scaling is all over the place for him.
And kenpachi fans simply have no issue and often use it to debate all because “Kubo approved it” I don’t care what others say Kenpachi isn’t beating Ichibei just like he couldn’t beat Gerard. Who would constantly come back stronger, strength isn’t everything which is why the primordial hollow stayed in that state. It’s why Kenpachi was about to be killed by Pernida. He’s not even transcendent yet and don’t even try to say he is please…
Kubo did a great job justifying why Kenpachi was a true legend throughout the series. He was never just a gimmick character. The limits to his OP are understandable, and not just plot reasons. Nice to see a writer put so much care into their work.

If I'm not mistaken theres a bit more to that then "I released too much of your power" pretty sure it's also implied his body needs time to acclimate more or less this is Kaio-Ken x100 and because he hasn't trained using it he is just abusing himself as much as his enemies. However we know that Kenpachi is directly the "Saiyan" style of power where the closer to death he is the stronger he gets. So as it is kind of the way it's written he is Broly if given time he can outclass anything and anyone.
Agreed for the most part except iirc, in the novel its stated that Nozarashi’s main drawback/ side effect in general is the fact that it damages your body the longer you use it, so I don’t think its something he can completely get rid of/ fully acclimate to, all he can do is try to mitigate or find work arounds when it comes to his abilities flaws, like Byakuya, Renji and Toshiro did, but much like their abilities, there will always be that risk when it comes to using it.
I think his arm burst because he swung using one hand. Too much power not enough of an outlet for it
Kenpachi doesn't get stronger the closer he gets to death. He was already that powerful, he just put up mental blocks to weaken himself to enjoy fighting. He just removed his mental blocks step by step when faced with a strong enemy. He defeated Kenpachi Unohana while he was just a small child.
Ichigo had trouble with his Bankai wearing out his body when it was newly awakened.

As is typical with character's with too much spiritual pressure, their energy collapses in on itself when entering bankai. Kenpachi may need to learn something that fires out his spiritual like a getsuga. When that happens he'll be even deadlier than before. He wasn't allowed proper swordsmanship for a reason.

@@joaquincasascortes624 Kenpachi, Byakuya and Toshiro were (in my opinion) by far the strongest 3 Shinigami in the Gotei.
Kenpachi was a monster ever since he was a child and Unohana helped in re-unlock and surpass that
Byakuya was the model Shinigami, skilled in all of the traditional arts and mastery of his Zanpakuto. The peak of what a 'Normal' Shinigami should be, but he was lucky enough to meet Squad 0 and help him push passed what most could achieve and raise his ceiling.
And Toshiro is a child prodigy. He was able to fight on the same level as or arguably on a level above Squad 0 Training Bankai Byakuya and Bankai Kenpachi without any special training. No special squad 0, no being brought to death and reviving, just his own training with his Zanpakuto and reaching that level
I think by CFYOW Kenpachi is the strongest of them, but I still think they will be shown as relative if they fight in the Hell Arc
@@jocoolshow That is very debatable. (This will be a long threat of comments due to how large it is, so I'll split it into 3. Don't mind me I'm just a casual Bleach enjoyer lol)
If we dont take into consideration shinigami that arent no more part of the Gotei 13, such as Sosuke Aizen, Soya Azashiro, etc, or characters that work with the Gotei 13, but are outsiders that don't happen to be there all the time, such as Urahara Kisuke, Ichigo Kurosaki, Ichibei Hyosube, etc. And, of course, not taking dead characters into consideration, such as Shigekuni Yamamoto-Genryusai, Yachiru Unohana, Jushiro Ukitake, Gin Ichimaru (HEAVILLY underrated), etc.
I think that the main 3 strongest are:
1. Kenpachi Zaraki: No doubt the most dangerous force of the shinigami even BEFORE Yamamoto died.
We can know this because:
a) He was banned from learning any of the 4 main shinigami combat fighitng styles, meaning that he never learned Zanjutsu, Hakuda, Hohou, nor Kidou due to fear of him being unstopable, even for Yamamoto.
If Byakuya was a considerably powerfull captain for being escencially a master in these 4 fighting styles, who knows how powerfull Kenpachi would be?
b) The main villains of the series made carefull plans to take out Kenpachi out of the ecuation. Aizen made sure he was out of the fight and stuck in Hueco Mundo, while Yhwach carefully selected some of his strongest sterrnritter to fight Kenny, such as Gremmy, who is probably part of the 5 or 8 strongest Quincy.
c) Unohana confirmed his latent potential when she recalled her fighting Kenpachi a long time ago and Kenpachi, just as a kid, managed to almost win against a captain, and, out of all captains, the first Kenpachi. This means that, just like Aizen, Kenpachi was born stupidly strong and above pretty much all the other shinigami, the only difference is that Kenpachi decided to lock out part of his power unlike Aizen.
There are many more reasons, but you probably get the point, since you ranked Kenny at the same spot.
@@jocoolshow 2. Mayuri. Mayuri is underrated because the opponent he fought against is no doubt one of the strongest Quincy we have ever seen. Pernida is an opponent that is mysterious in nature that could evolve throught the fight and was escencially unkillable. Every time he tried to do something, Pernida evolved and countered his attacks or gadgets. But you put a character such as Urahara and Kenpachi in his shoes, and 1. Kenpachi got low diffed by Pernida and 2. Urahara wouldn't have ANY intel at all to make plans to beat Pernida. Comparing Mayuri vs Pernida, besides the outcome, is like Jiraiya vs the six paths of Pain from Naruto.
Jiraiya had to fought an opponent he knew nothing about other than "he had the rinnegan". Every time Jiraiya did an attack or tried something, he got countered by something new. Pernida is legit insaine and there were few characters that could have dealt with him. For this feat alone I think Mayuri is above most.
@@jocoolshow 3. Between Shunsui Kyoraku or Byakuya Kuchiki. This is a very hard one. Both captains are top tiers and have achieved incredible feats. Shunsui did fairly well against considerably powerfull characters such as Starkk and Lile Barro. And right now Shunsui probably has one of the most deadly sword abilities in his Kyoka Suigetsu. As seen in his fight with Starkk, he can make a large ammount of tecniques in his games. An opponent that doesnt follow his games legit dies. And his bankai is also very deadly. So he is worthy of being on the top 3 for me.
But Byakuya is also worthy of the top 3 position. He trained in the soul palace and managed to perfect pretty much every fighting style in Bleach. His shikai is as powerfull as a bankai, his Bankai is the most versatile bankai out there, he is very good at kidou tecniques, he is one of the fastest, he is a master in kendo. He is an all around strong captain, so its hard for me to place him or Shunsui on this place.

I hope in the future Hell Arc that we’ll actually get to know the name of Kenpachi’s Bankai if it even has one. It would be really cool to hear Bankai from his voice. Also imagine how insane the fight with him and Unohana will be once animated…

It’s what Aizen said against the 8th kenpachi in muken. He lured zaraki to hueco mundo because he feared Zaraki’s unknown limit of power. He even survived 100’s of hadou96 itokatso from 8th kenpachi.
Considering a Bankai is meant to reflect your true nature, that fact that Kenpachi's Bankai turns him into a demonic berserker whose seems to operate on pure instinct, is very fitting.
It will be interesting to see if his Bankai has changed in the years between the TYBW and the Hell arc.

I think the berserker aspect is just Kenpachi being overwhelmed by bloodlust. As he refines his technique he will regain control. But it will remain a form that savagely fights with all it has. For is that not what he was always heading towards?

I also just love how he's had no true formal trainin but can STILL beat pretty much all of his highly trained peers! That's like some unknown, random dude walkin into the UFC and knockin out the MW, LHW, and HW champs with no formal trainin! A very disturbin thought! He does train himself but if he got that formal elite trainin from Yamamoto, he probly would have become so overwhelmingly powerful, he'd have caused an unstoppable revolt and overthrew the Seireitei!
I like the fact that there was a Sternritter that tried to copy Kenpachi's form and he appeared to be extremely muscular and claimed that he was on equal level with, before his body literally exploded and he died. And Nozarashi is telling him that she is literally to strong for Kenpachi as his body begins to break down. I cannot image the absolute power that is Nozarashi's Bankai that some fans have dubbed "大赤鬼" ("Dai Akaoni" Great Red Demon)

Kenpachi was my favorite since i watched bleach, im glad that they keep on buffing him every arc, he's a straight badass character no bs.
I also like that despite his strength and bloodlust, there is at least a few lines even he won't cross. In CFYOW Tokinada boast about his plan to unleash war and chaos upon humanity to Shunsui and his ad hoc alliance, Zaraki silently listens to this and an expression of revulsion is described as etching across his face. When Giselle asks him seriously if Tokinada has gone totally insane, he nods in the affirmative.
^Seconded. Kenpachi being OP and wild is awesome, but it's the fact that he has a compass, however messed up it might seem to someone who hasn't been where he has, that makes the 11th willing to follow him into hell with smiles on their faces.
Yep he is not evil, he has no interest in killing or torturing their opponents, only to fight them. Like Ichinose, Madarame or Tousen, once defeated he leaves them alone and asks to fight another day

6:22 Both you and the Bleach wiki got it wrong. Those "black markings" aren't markings but shadows cast on his face from the angle Kubo drew, as you can see on subsequent pages and panels throughout the chapter where he has no markings as well as from other material like the Bleach Brave Souls game.

It's interesting to note that Kenpachi has been able to hear his zanpaktou the entire time, the only reason he couldn't learn the name is because he gave his spirit a different name, in the same way that Yumichika did.
remember when Midoriya first got One for all and every attack just eviscerates parts of his body? seems like the same could be said with kenpachi, the only difference is, kenpachi already had such power and body, but still isnt enough to contain how much hidden power he still has.
One thing I find kinda ironic about Kenpachi’s bankai is that it kinda goes against his personal desires. Kenpachi is always the guy who enjoys the fight for the thrill of the fight, to the point where he has had to hold back just to fully enjoy it. His bankai releases all of his true power, but reduces him to a mindless berserker and robs him of the ability to express joy and the enjoyment of the thrill of combat, in addition to damaging his body the longer he uses it.
Its like the biggest drawback to him personally, insane power but the inability to truly enjoy it, that’s the sacrifice his zanpakuto requires. As such, I feel like it’s probably going to be something he ends up not even liking to use, kinda like kendo/ how some other shinigami ( Soifon and Shuhei) arent really fond of their abilities despite the usefulness.

He only held back and enjoyed fights because of his encounter with unohana originally. Since killing her he no longer has that want to make a battle go on longer than it needs to nor does he feel the need to hold back. Hence why he is now able to talk to nozarashi.
His true nature is just like his bankai form, mindless berserker looking for fights, just like the first time unohana met him

My brother also think that kenpachi zaraki is the strongest captain in Seireitei given that in the previous arc, he even released his zanpakuto in bankai only in shikai form and he is strong enough to take his enemies. He is one of a very interesting character in Bleach. In addition, even his squad members like Ikkaku can do bankai, squad 11 on the rock!!
This could be a guess way off base; if it's given that Yachiru is supposed to be part of Kenny's Zanpakuto then the constant bad directions and miscommunication could be symbolic. He can't speak to his sword's spirit for the majority of the series, and even if it somehow manifested Yachiru to interact with him, that barrier of not understanding each other should exist.

I believe seeing such an old school bankai idea is actually refreshing given the time in which it was revealed.
I’m sure given the time and training where he can perhaps master his full abilities and continue to grow in strength and power, he is able to surpass the headmaster imo.

Zaraki kenpachi..... This dude was was op without shikai or bankai....one of my fav characters... He's just a maniac.... But not a bad guy either 😂 😂
Kenpachi’s story is that of raw talent and refinement. He began a journey of growth as soon as he met a adversary he could not beat and there is no reason to. Believe that he did not continue training and getting stronger
Definitely my favourite bankai, I at minimum like (and mostly love) all of them but this is my favourite. Partly because of Kenpachi and just how raw he and the scene is in general but also because of Yachiru.
Without a doubt Kenpachi has the most devastatin bankai of all. I truly believe that once he develops full control of that Oni/Demon form of his, he will be able to put the edge of his weapon thru any and all forms of creation, even down to a subatomic level. The man was already cuttin thru space in his shikai state, I see no reason he couldnt sever atomic particles in his fully tamed bankai state.
Yes, OG Yamamoto probly has the most destructive aoe bankai (I mean he's practically a walkin Sun) and yes, Ichibei has crazy hax and can control all black but Zaraki possesses an unmatched level of stamina, durability, strength, and explosive raw power that I think when mastered, could topple them all.
Bein able to cut thru anythin (focus on the word ANYTHING) is one of the most broken powers ever!

Kenpachi character is defined by his lust for battle and the craving for more pain and suffering and this form in a way is a personification of that , ruthless lustful and nothing stops him : not any reason not a obligation to hold back .It's Instincts at it's purest

The guy's the ABSOLUTE PINNACLE of raw n pure physical strength, reiryoku ,combat instinct and prowess, and that all too without anywhere close to even being aware of his Bankai, much less mastering or even training on it, and one of the only 3 characters in the series so far to have 'transcendent' level Reiatsu. Yamamoto himself forbidding him to master proper Kenjutsu in fear of him becoming powerful beyond reason so that no one can control him once he goes rogue. His casual attacks defying common sense and logic, totally ignoring science, cutting apart air, cutting apart voids in space time continuum, cutting apart the strongest shield even without physically touching it. His raw, non-fully realized, unnamed, un-acknowledged , and un-aware Bankai is of such magnitude that himself being THE absolute monster in physical stats, and still him not being able to contain his own latent and peerless potential. A Bankai so horrifyingly invincible, its mere power output at the moment of activation rended and deformed his sword so badly...
A reality warper, who can just about imagine anything and any results effortlessly, when he tried to copy Kenpachi's power his imaginations couldn't take the strain and tore the warper apart inside out.
I am a Kenpachi fan, and still will be. I will agree with the fact that there are individuals out there in the verse,and scenarios and situations where with even all that unparalleled qualities of Ken-chan's, that he can't overcome, at least not on his own. And that there are far more useful and more vast abilities and characters who outclass brute strength easily, and cud clown on Zaraki.

It's worth noting that his right arm which was just healed was the one that ruptured. It may be because his arm is still fresh from being in Mayuri's capsule or his power was just too overwhelming

man this anime almost 20 years later to c the bankai again i love it this is the best anime better than every anime out there
I believe that Kenpachi's bankai blade was broken because he didn't have enough power to manifest the full blade, only a portion of it.
Zaraki is Bleach equivalent of Ganondorf or the demon Demise, minus absolute evil part

If there's a way for his body to be refined enough to handle all of his power, I think things will look great for him
If he ever swung it two handed with everything he's got no doubt he would destroy the world. The raw power behind his swings is so devastating that the bankai has to doll out measured amounts so he doesn't kill himself. If ever he swung it with everything he's got there would be no survivors.
I thought the full power was never demonstrated as it held back knowing that Kenpachi wasn't able to handle it all yet. What I can't see him doing is not training to get stronger. I think he'll be able to release even more than what we saw next time. The question will be what else has he learned from it over the years.
Wasn't Kenpachi's Banki weapon actually revealed much earlier? During his fight against Gremmy, if I recall correctly, there was a panel with him wielding a weapon that was different to Nozarashi's shikai state. I remember thinking that the artist had mis proportioned the shikai later during the fight, and only made the connection when his bankai was officially released for the first time.

8:00 I’m glad the anime has shown this better as it’s so much more fitting that kenny doesn’t cut the arm off he rips it off with his teeth which means he does this with a jerk of his head, the bit that really sells it is the look on the other captains faces when this happens.
Could you cover your opinion of the Vizards? Their powers and potential for the series. I love Kensei the most and felt he was extremely undervalued considering he has a compressed zanpakuto (shikai & bankai) that can change forms and the explosions should literally have a bigger impact especially when amped by mask.
His bankai is basically super saiyan/mgr jack the ripper mode. I reckon the more stronger his opponent is, the more bloodlust he'll show and release more power as a result.
I fucking love kenpachi! His character and intense desire to find a fight he can enjoy made him my favorite in the series. Finding out they gave him a bankai is epic.

I dont think he needs control. More like the sword needs to be aware how much power to pump into him. His power is so overwhelming nobody can really trade blows with him. He really is the embodiment of " you are your own limit"

Kenpachi is my number 1 favorite in bleach donno why but i really like he's role in this kind of anime.
IT is like Ichigo's first hollow release where he had no control. Maybe Kenpachi has a demon in him that he needs to make peace with. Maybe a battle like Ichigo had with his hollow is in order for Kenny to get control.
Fun Fact: Kenpachi's Bankai appeared in Chapter 669 of the Bleach Manga.

A lot of people say that Zaraki obtaining both Shikai and Bankai in such quick succession is a complete ass-pull, but is it really *that* unthinkable in-universe?
He's gotten to know his Zanpakuto on a personal level through Yachiru as he grew up, both before and throughout his time as a member of the Gotei 13, and they have a great deal of mutual trust and understanding for eachother.
His experience was probably different from like 99.999+% of Shinigami who have ever existed who succeeded to awaken their Zanpakuto's true power, but he spent every waking hour with Yachiru close by for decades, no doubt talking to her about everything from mundane everyday things to battle philosophy during their time together, and she was technically externalised the entire time.
When he could finally hear his sword, and Yachiru rejoined with Nozarashi, the foundation for unlocking Bankai had already been laid.
Just imagine the ludicrous level of destructive potential he'll wield once he can handle its full power, considering what he managed with just a fraction and with no experience using it.

I think Kenpachi and Ichigo are cut from similar cloths. Both use giant cleavers wrapped in cloth for Shikai. I wonder if this is partially related to why Kenpachi of all people showed up when Ichigo was fighting his inner hollow.
Kenpachi also takes a page out of Ichigo’s book by using a smaller more concentrated blade and straight up wearing the bankai.
Maybe the Red Oni is Kenpachi Hallow.
Not gonna lie @DBZimran I've been so curious about Kempachis Bankai since his first battle with Ichigo. I'm so excited to hear the voice of Nozarashi in the anime adaptation.
When i saw it on release, i instantly knew he was resembling an Oni. Loved the correlation.
With a muscle head like that finding the limits of his own body's ability to handle his power the only logical thing to do (if you're a muscle head) is to constantly swing a close as possible to full potential. This leads to some potential character growth where Ken may decide to either save some strength for more drawn out battles (which isn't muscle headed enough for him) or put his every effort into killing his opponent as fast and efficiently as possible (the opposite of what he's been doing)

I don't remember Gerard losing to their combined might. It wasn't until Yhwach took all of the sternritters powers that he was no longer a threat.
That part was extremely unfair to the 3 captains, and thus unsatisfied to read. To me the captains should have won after the combo and later Yhwach only absorbed Gerald's corpse for power.

Can you cover the strongest characters introduced in the TYBW? Apparently there’s several characters that Ichigo would lose too in a hypothetical 1v1 and that’s just hard to understand for me considering he’s the MC.
Didn't he lose right away to Askin? I think it's pretty easy to understand why some of these characters wreck Ichigo. What would he have done against Gerard? Gremmy? Lille Baro (in his light based released state)?
I actually like that Ichigo isn't the strongest character. He's just a bit of a skeleton key, not bogged down by any oath or duty besides the ones made to his loved ones-with willpower unmatched that carries him through any situation. All while realistically only being top 10 of the shinigami (at best) because he's still only a teenager and his power wasn't too well defined by the end. I think shonen's typical storytelling tactics has polluted our way of thinking about these things, and I'm kinda glad anime now a days in that genre have been consistently putting these ceilings that can't be crossed (i.e. Goku never surpassing angels).
@@Redhollow I mean there really is no winning against Gerard or Lille Baro to begin with. Gerard "lost" because his powers got turned off and Lille Baro "lost" because of as close as you can get to deus ex machina with a magic light god sucking sword.

@@if7723 Lille Barro's power can be defeated by a number of people. His weakness lies in its activation requirements, namely being forced to open his eye 3 times in a battle.
Kaname Tousen's Bankai would hard counter him. Anyone else that killed him instantly, which Oetsu Numiya (Royal Guard), could do with his Sikafune.

@@Redhollow against Askin he was taken off guard so it's not really a good example imo, but that's just how a lot of fights in Bleach are, it's not just about this character is stronger than this character so he wins, excluding the few overpowered characters, match ups, personality some circumstances, all play part of how fight ends.
Getting back to Ichigo, I honestly think he could beat anyone 1vs1 minus Yhwach. Gerard is a tricky but I think end of the series Ichigo would win, because in the end no matter how hax your ability is, if you fight someone with overwhelming reiatsu you lose, so Ichigo might just negate Gerard's power.
I love how the strongest of the Espada had his release be another being and that wound up being the same for the Gotei 13.
Even the head captain doesnt want to go toe to toe for fear of kenpachi going out of control thats why he taught him about useing two hands to help control his power...
Kenpachi's bankai is definitely one of the strongest but i dont think its stronger than Yamamoto's Zanka no Tachi.

I have a theory, but it may be moot. During his fight with Ichigo, the scream you hear from Nozarashi isn’t a scream of pain, but a scream of enjoyment that it’s in such a good battle. Let me know what y’all think

When it comes to physical stat boosts, I think Kenpachi's Bankai is the 3rd strongest. #1 would definitely be Ichigo, don't even need to explain that. #2 would be Toshiro. Think about the power difference between Shikai Toshiro and Mature Bankai Toshiro, who's able to cut Gerard's sword in two with a casual one handed swing and outsped Gerard at every turn. Keep in mind that this version of Gerard had a Miracle Buff from Bankai Kenpachi stacked ontop of going Vollstandig

Kenpachi was already op, but Toshiro was not even a challenge for Gérard but them Mature Bankai Toshiro was putting in good work against Gérard.
In my opinion, physical stat boost wise, Toshiro is above Kenpachi
Its strongest Bankai, because this was literally his first use of it, and likely weakest form of it.

Kenpachis first clumsy use of Bankai completely outperformed 99% every Bankai or other ability we have ever seen in the show. Bankais that has been mastered possibly hundreds of years.
I've just always liked his character for the simple fact he was a captain despite not meeting the conditions needed.
Also his "Rage" Bankai in its base state ( Ichigo had a very similar thing when he first unlocked bonkai), it's amazing. In time (maybe some of the special training ways seen) he learns it better and masters it to the other captain's levels. Then I think even Ichigo would have a hard time beating that.

I hope the Hell arc has Kenpachi vs Hell-bound kenpachis. I realized earlier today that cutting Gerard in half wasn't even the extent of his bankai's potential power, and so I need this man to carve a bloody path through some demons.
I watched another video that explained, after years of trying to speak to kenpachi his Zompakto (nozerashi) broke off a small party of its sole and gave it physical form.
This small fragment had no name (like kenpachi at the time). This small child like sole crawled up to his sword and touched in and giggled at the blood that was transferred to her hand, and he named her Yachiro.
This was an explanation that came from an interview with Kubo himself. I like it and it makes a LOT of since the more you think about it. The whole idea linds itself to a certain kind of symmetry in a way.
Ps. Supposedly there in more evidence for this in the manga. Like after he activates his bonki you never see Yachiro again and Kenpachi says she's gone/not coming back? But idk.

Makes me wonder if any hacks would even work on it? Since it's been proven that any bankai ability can be overcome if you just have enough raw reiastu or 'power'.
So...could this kenpachi (If he mastered it and toughed up his body) truly be unstoppable in a 1v1? Would anything but brute force truly work on him? This is just a powerful form that I haven't felt such an impact since Old man yamamoto used his bankai.

@@conchobharkhan4167 KS wouldn't work on Zaraki and at that point Aizen would have to have a plain sword fight and he's not winning that battle. Nozarashis attack potency is rediculous! Imagine continuously clashing with a sword that destroys reality (space time) and a meteor in just shikai with a single swing. One arm.
Ichigo and Aizen would destroy him. Both have superior stats, Aizen's hax worked on Soul King Yhwach. Gerard would beat him. Gerard did beat him. Granted, Kenpachi's body couldn't handle his Reiatsu and destroyed his arm, but Gerard's sword hit him hard enough to knock him out.
But even if we assume Kenpachi would've been able to use all his power, he'd just make Gerard stronger.
All of the Quincy Elites should beat him. Lille, Askin, Perninda, Uryu and Jugram all have hax that would shut down Kenpachi's options, though he might be able to one shot Uryu, Jugram and Askin so I'm not sure
Ichibei might be able to, depending on if you think Almighty Yhwach without the Soul King is stronger than Gerard
Toshiro and Byakuya should definitely be able to. Byakuya can stop attacks from even final form Gerard with Senbonzakura's defensive mode, so his offense mode should have comparable attack output. Especially Hakuteiken which takes all of his petals and compresses his attack power into one blade
And Toshiro's hax could work even on Vollstandig Gerard that had Bankai Kenpachi's power absorbed through the Miracle. Toshiro also outdid this Gerard in strength and speed, and his power also isn't fully realized
But him Toshiro and Byakuya are top 3 Gotei Shinigami for sure
@@SuperCrysis92 Kyoka worked on Soul King Yhwach with the Almighty, why would it not work on Kenpachi who's probably around Gerard's Vollstandig or final form of we highball Kenpachi?
(Since Vollstandig Gerard's power requires Yachiru to raise Kenny up to match it and failed, I think it's fair to say a hypothetical full power Kenpachi would be around Gerard's Vollstandig or Final Form like Byakuya and Toshiro were)
