does anyone else just like andys video the second ya click on it before even watching it? the amount of effort he goes to with these videos to provide us with some of the best content is unreal.
Andy, for about 10 days i was bedridden with Covid-19 and i absolutely binged on your show. Thanx for sharing our/your passion even when we cant get out. Lots of support from South Africa 🇿🇦
Hey Andy, with your crab pots.. tie the rope onto the base where the weld is under the hinge. If the pots are full of crabs or leaves/mud, you might lose your pot by breaking the netting. Also makes it easier to pull up as you are lifting one edge instead of the whole lot.
I always feel so bad for crabs when they're not killed before they're prepped. I discovered my shellfish allergy the first time I had crab and I loved it so much but they fight back through the histamines lol. Clint is such a fun addition to videos.
That's it!! I have decided if I can ever afford to head to Australia I am heading your way Andy!! That crab looked amazing and the view was just outstanding, hope all is well with your brother and best wishes mate, also the boat looks great after the work you put in
The Vids are better/fishing is better when you have a mate along. Each doing your own thing then catch up at night for a yarn/some prawning. Great vid.
Once again, Andy, That was a great video. I enjoy when you take the channel on the road to do your amazing catch and cook. The video of the bird was great, keep showing action shots of your wildlife in motion, you are a true National Geographic photographer, I know it get hard to control the fog on the lens. Hey Andy, I think the shower will be a great addition when you go on those longer journeys. Is your flathead fish like our flounder?
Hey Andy! I was looking at Australia (I was an exchange student from 1990-1992)and I noticed that there was a huge amount of national parks! I really had no idea there were that many protected area's down under. I tried looking for pictures around each park, but their wasn't many. When I was there I think I experienced three or four around Queensland and many about Kangaroo Island where we ended up studying a lot at the end. I'd truly love to be a fisherman around there as you are mate! I love your videos
Definitely have some of the best memories ever. I was very tempted to live there permanently and the girl I was dating then almost talked me into it. I had to go back to the US to finish my degree though. I did look up the number of national parks in Australia has the most at 685. China is the next with 208 whicjh is no where even close to Australia. We only have 59! Goes to show you how many unique and beautiful places there are there. Explorers must have discovered these places and said "This is too beautiful for anyone to ever mess up!" Take care mate! Still waiting to see a shark catch and cook!
love the editing for the intro of this one Andy. You should take tiny little tarp in the boat to lay down on the deck when you pull up pots and cast net. Keep that new floor spanking!
Hey Andy! Would love if you tried my recipe for a baked barramundi wrapped in foil over the fire! It’s got half a lemon chopped I put in the fish, then 3 tbs of lemon juice, chopped garlic, chopped chilli, chopped chives, mix all together and drizzle with oil! Then put it on the fish, inside and all over! Tastes amazing 😍
Thanks Andy, great video. Nice job with the Google Earth map - it took me a while to work that one out, but I finally succeeded! I'm actually coming up to South Molle Island in a week's time to fish and camp. I only get up there about once every two or three years for a couple of days fishing. Hopefully you'll put on some nice weather for me. Thanks again.
Hey Andy, greeting from Texas, and thanks for another great video. I've been enjoying your content after stumbling over it about a year ago. I think i'm done with all the backlog as well! Excellent outdoor filmography, fishing, camping, exploring, and cooking content. I hope your brother is well. I also hope your new housemate keeps letting you go fishing! (Wife overheard you mention that you were going to have a lady friend moving in several episodes back...and now she's watching with me...LOL.)
I love it Andy! I have been watching your channel for 3 or so years now. I live in Darwin, so I get into all the big Mundi, and I love how you show us how to fish with what lures. I love it!
Andy you have to get a lure called a junkie jig it'll catch any fish anytime anywhere you need it in your arsenal you will have hours and hours of fun with this lure look it up on the internet they're like 20 bucks you'll love it when the fish aren't biting they will when you use this lure
If you stick a spike under its flap in the hole, swirl around, then stick it in its face and swirl around, it'll feel no pain when dying and all nerves will be destroyed. Just an FYI, save the crab from extra-excruciating pain. Nonetheless, nice catch and cookup, always a great video mate.
Any way to kill the crab before peeling off the carapace without compromising flavor? I know chilling it slows the metabolism way down, but it still seemed to be squirming a bit as you were fishing out the gills and goop.

Australia is a very flat and dry place (most of it), but you find beauty anywhere. One day I will start group tours, after covid???
@@Andysfishing sounds like a great plan, the experience you hold in fishing and living off of what you can find around you is a great thing to pass on

Is your flathead fish like our flounder?
Flounder and flathead live in similar spots. But are very different. When I get a new camera, I’ll film more wildlife.
Awesome vid Andy. So good when the crabs are like that!
I wish it was more often like this.
Looks like a lot of fun. Thanks.
Exploring always is.
First trip with the new floor, three days. Let’s goooooooo!

Great viewing mate as always. Wondering were this spot was I'm in Central Queensland and like new adventures myself on my time off
Sorry, as always, every spot is someone’s favourite and it’s not my place to make them public.
Nice trick with the fillet Andy. I was thinking “why doesn’t he just continue to skin it with the knife….ahhh I see”
That’s how everyone fillets flathead
It’s a wasteful way to do it.
I will use a life next time.
I always go to the creek from Townsville, always had good crabs and slow on fishing, got 15 crabs in one pot only one keeper tho 👌🏼
Which creek are you going to?
That is awesome! Watch this weeks video!
Great video of that bird, Andy.
Many thanks! That camera isn't what it used to be.
the powerbait is for big coral trout and cod

Glad you enjoyed Watch this weeks video!
Would like to do a crabbing trip with u rockhampton early December goes crazy
That would be cool!
Hey mate what’s the name of this place and how do u get there
It's a good place because not everyone knows it
What do you mean when you say the mud crab is empty ?
It’s not full, meaning it has malted its shell recently.
Did you sell your ultralight?
It needs a bit of work
Handy have you tryed fryed crab?
With the bag of chips (crisps)
No, not sure how you would get the meat out.

Can you explain a full crab over an empty crab what’s it full of and how do they empty out and how do they fill up whit
They shed their exoskeleton to grow bigger.

Your reel seems to need an adjustment shim under the spool to keep your line laying level…
Yes, I need to find some spacers.

Morning!

Hi Andy great video if you don’t mind me asking what is your boat name?
Incognito
Just when the world starting thinking we were normal,
Clint: Watch out for this croc just here.
Ha ha
Wait wat about da rest of da boet modifications
In good time
Any way to kill the crab before peeling off the carapace without compromising flavor? I know chilling it slows the metabolism way down, but it still seemed to be squirming a bit as you were fishing out the gills and goop.
Keep it cold enough for ling enough will kill them. You can also brain spike them, often they throw a claw.
What you driving andy?
Car Boat?
@Andysfishing lmao what model and manufacturer?
Nice one mate
Cheers
The bird is a sub adult Striated Herron. They are stripy and spotty before they reach their full adult plumage.
Thank you for that, good info.
