    I just got this car, and I loved your review! However seems a bit different, outside looks the same, interior is a bit different... it has sunroof, it runs on petrol full and has 182hp, I'm concerned about your thoughts on towing capacity. Your review said that it has 150hp, do you think that the 182hp will do sufficiently better compared to the 150hp? Thanks and I loved the review!

      So I think that will be the 2.5 NA engine. I'm not sure where you are but Car and Driver says that model is rated to tow 1500 lbs (680 KG). This eBoxer model can actually tow 1870 KG, which is considerably more. Check the type approval where you are though, towing capacity is as much about brakes, suspension and chassis strength as it is about grunt

    You're missing out what Subarus are really about, from a drivers point of view.
    They are almost unrivalled in vehicle handling in adverse conditions, not specifically designed as on off roader they have the ability to cover ground in poor conditions almost as quickly as they can in the dry competently.
    You won't want to be in anything else in the winter or even the wet, sure footed doesn't begin to describe the levels of grip and vehicle competence.
    Not a car for everyone, there's arguably better and cheaper alternatives if you just want a medium sized SUV for 3 years of renting/leasing/pcp'ing and if your driving is entirely on normal grid locked roads then arguably a Subaru is wasted anyway and the badge isn't going to impress the Audi owners association on the housing estate if that counts as it does for many, but looked after this will still be giving good service long after many of those alternatives have fallen apart.

      The whole of the UK is missing the point then seen as barely anybody buys them here

    My Forester X Sport is the same colour, but has the 2.5 engine. Also has a sunroof. But loved your review.

      It would be nice if we could still get a 2.5, or a turbo

    i live in montana and i get to see my 21 subaru forester outperform rock crawlers every year. in ice, deep ass snow, and deep ass mud its insane.

    USA, Canada and Australia all love Subarus for a very simple reason: they have the best AWD system of any SUV.
    So Subaru's are not a true 4WD and they don't pretend to be but they excel in dirt, mud and snow.
    And where is the UK anyhow? Is that the land of bad food and worse weather? 😂

      I'll assume you're from the USA then as people from elsewhere are capable of reading a map

      There are lots of other crossovers and SUVs that have more power but also meet the emissions standards

    Do you think it’s more capable off road than a compass trailhawk?

    • @BuckleUpShow
      @BuckleUpShow  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Probably not, but in the UK they end up being the same price and while I might gravitate towards the Jeep it's a hard sell to get someone to pick a smaller less well equipped car for the same money

      Those exact two vehicles were part of this offroad multitest:
      th-cam.com/video/SsEFOH7KP-Q/w-d-xo.htmlsi=haCFwEpbJezdkLwQ
      In this test at least the Forester wasted the Compass trailhawk ofroad, which surprised the tester. Forster came out on top of all 12 vehicles tested

    It’s ugly but spacious and reasonably priced. More people should look at a Subaru.

    • @BuckleUpShow

      Not as reasonably priced as a Rexton though

      I guess they know if you're a techy sort of person you'll use android auto or Apple car play, and if you're not a techy sort of person you probably won't care if the satnav looks a bit old

      @@BuckleUpShow this is very true, although Toyota were really late to the game with CarPlay. My company car is a Corolla, when I had a courtesy car Prius (70 plate) it didn’t have it

      Because they usually let others sort the issues out first and then they’ll introduce tech once they know all the issues have been ironed out

      It's probably that cars have a much longer design/production lifecycle than your smartphone. It's only naturally that what seems like state of the art a few years ago is out of date by the time the car is at the dealership

    • @BuckleUpShow
      @BuckleUpShow  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That would be a great theory if many other manufacturers weren't capable of putting more modern software in their cars, but they are
