    A huge thank you for showing us your crashs, sometimes we feel so alone with our own crashs, I feel more confortable now to buy more foam and glues :D

    All the crashes show explain how your videos are the most spectacular out there. Have to take risks, right? Your location is amazing, and it looks like you keep pushing it to bring us crazy-good content. Well done. Looking forward to your end-of-year compilation, as always.

      I appreciate you saying that :D
      I have to keep upping the ante.
      Winter darkness is upon us so that means rebuilding and editing time

    Jeg trodde jeg var mester i havarier, men disse var imponerende. Gratulerer.I fancied myself as a wrecking champ, but these unscheduled landings are spectacular. Respect.

    Some of them I remember, but had no idea you had so many. What it shows is the dedication and patience required to get that special little piece of footage....The fish drying tunnel in particular.....Still my fave FPV Channel....:)

    Those poor right wings. Lots of hits on that side. Sweet video, some of the big mountain recoveries looked daunting.

    Awesome vid! Your final edited vids make things look so easy, this brings the reality into the picture. You seem to have a lot of hardware failures though? A lot of instances where it just noses down or rolls over and dives into the ground for apparently no reason. Hardware failures? Why? Because of the extreme temperatures you fly in? Keep up the good work though, your fpv vids are by far the best!

    • @andberge
      @andberge  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks. There is a list of causes and excuses for the crashes in the description.
      Sometimes the equipment fail, but usually it is my own fault when crashing.

  • @MonkeySwing
    @MonkeySwing 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    EPIC video. You should do a vlog/tutorial on your different methods for recovering downed equipment. With long range starting to become popular again, there is a lot of people in the community that don't have a clue on how to set up a rig to make it findable, as well as all the planning that goes into going out and getting something on a mountain.

  • @SladkaPritomnost

    Congratulation man! Thanks for sharing.

    Great video! Apart from the obvious collisions are the rest failsafe or servo failure?

    • @andberge
      @andberge  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks. There is only one failsafe, a couple of low batt incidents, mechanical failure and many brain farts....

    Amazing video man,loved it. How many planes were unrecoverable?

    • @andberge
      @andberge  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks :D
      05:01 Had climber go look for the DJI F550, but all they found was broken props and a motor :(
      05:47 is still up there. The location is 6-7 hours away from home and there was no time for a serious rescue mission.
      06:16 Is also not recovered yet. This is close to my home so I plan to go get it soon ( just 5 months since I crashed it!)

  • @northernfpv9562

    Epic! Looks like a lot of servo failure and failsafes! More like fail-unsafe amirite? I think if I crashed this much I would have quit a long time ago haha.

    What happens at those crazy (random) spins? Like one 0:41. And what was the main cause for smashing into the ground, although it looked like it could have been saved?

    • @andberge
      @andberge  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      At 0:41 the X8 started to flutter and threw the battery out. It fell straigth down so I knew exactly where to find it :)
      If you look at the footage in slowmo you can se the battery on the outside of the plane!

    It's a good thing you like hiking, right? I love the shot with the two planes caught on that same bush.. that's consistency!

    • @andberge
      @andberge  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually I don`t. If so I would have taken even more risks on the mountain dives....

    • @ChileVuela
      @ChileVuela 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hehehe.. I was being a bit ironic. I like hiking, but not that much. Not enough to go retrieve my drone lost at the top of a 1500m mountain.

    And here I am planning on grabbing a Flite Test Spear, a couple of Cox 0.049 engines, and some FPV Gear. I'm loving surface FPV, don't care for drones, want to fly, can't afford to wreck my NexSTAR.
    Gonna be fun!
    And yes I am nitro powering a FT Spear. Not enough nitro FPV on youtube.

    Very often when watching the video of you flying under the excavator on the barge I wonder what would happen if you were to hit it, hopefully it looks like it never has been the case.
    Just recently I was experimenting with a custom wing I built and one control linkage flew off in flight, was a easy fix.
    At least it's a very hard one to stall, looks like you have a few issues with that.

    • @andberge
      @andberge  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha. It is amazing that I still have that plane. Think it is starring in this video at least 10 times (CTH Gladiator XL)
      Same plane also suffered from a bad control link at 03:12

    I think there’s two videos of that quadcopter hitting that white and red flying wing, either they’re doing it on purpose or that quad guy need some more practice alone...

    5:01 dji naza drone but the error is the pilot because he putted the drone at attitude mode (Non-GPS) when the drone can use the GPS witch 10 satellittes and don't crash witch him obstacle
    in the screen can you see "ATT" well, ATT is atitude mode (Non-GPS)

    • @andberge
      @andberge  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Here is lots of pilot error. badly tuned autopilots, broken servo/link/hinge, low battery etc.
      The only failsafe is at 02:50

  • @ExperimentalFunRCss
    @ExperimentalFunRCss 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Man o Man my wallet hurts just watching this! Great video I was wondering if any of you knew any of the names of some of the flying wings in the video. I'm looking into wings at the moment and having trouble settling on one. None the less great vid!!

    • @andberge
      @andberge  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks.
      If I`m lucky the ad revenue will cover a tube of Gorillaglue and some glass fiber tape!
      I recomend the wings from www.crahtesthobby.com
      You have to put some effort into building them, but then again they will survive whatever you throw at them.
      The main star in this video is a CTH Gladiator XL, It has lasted for 5 years and 20-30 crashes.
      The CTH Vertigo had been crashed 10+ times in the A-frames without injuries to the airframe itself...

    How many planes do you still have lying around in the mountains?

    • @andberge
      @andberge  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. Sorry for my late reply.
      Lost 3 planes and 2 multicopters over the years.
      Most of them could have been retrieved, but It could have taken many days with risking my life up in the mountains.
      Next hobby will be rock climbing ;)
