My husband and I were in the area and wanted to have noodle soup so we googled and Wonton Guy was the first that popped up. Let’s give it a shot! We like that the place felt like a mom and pop store. Seeing all the elders sitting down eating, we knew this place was special! Ordered 2 toppings noodle soup and when I tell ya the first sip of that broth hit me, I danced in my chair just like you did! We discovered Wonton Guy, I wanna say in March of this year and I’m not going to any other wonton noodle house cause this is it!!! Everyone should try this place, you will NOT be disappointed!
Thanks for sharing! I love the atmosphere and food
Oh wow I live like 15 mins away and am in that area several times a week I’ll check it out sometime
Ningen spammed that exclamation point more than I be spamming q
I went to ‘Wonton Guy’ after watching this. The chili has a good kick. I love it.
I live so close to this place. I never stopped in. I'll have to try this place out!
Lucky
Total banger. I love when hidden gems are found and featured.
Forget in America. This wonton noodle looks better than even the wonton I’ve eaten in Hong Kong...juicier
It’s just as authentic here. We live in an era where you can get anything from any country is you’re willing to pay. And the good restaurants are
I'm dying with envy. I wish we had a place like this closer by.. Definitely as authentic as can be.
Beautiful everything. 😋👍🌻❤🍜
Bro really just was in such shock he recorded himself just eating in heaven enjoying it all😋
i love wonton noodle soup when its done properly. Noodles with a nice chewy and firm texture. Light but flavorful broth. Thick, meaty wontons. The wonton noodle soups near my area (Southern California) are decent but the best ones I've had were in Hong Kong and Vancouver, B.C. (Canada).
This spot looks very legit... Love the shrimp to pork ratio in those wontons too 😂Particularly sweet episode, JL!
Hit the Thumbs Up Button Everyone!!!
That area has some absurdly good Asian food. I used to live in Edison. HWY 27 is legendary for Asian Cuisine. A couple blocks down the road is Yaraku Ramen. It's easily the best Ramen I've ever had. Right down the road from that is Delhi Garden, which is arguably the best Indian food in NJ. Then there's Baguette Delite, which has the best Bahn mi I've ever had. That's walking distance from Yaraku and The Wonton Guy.
Love your chopsticks skill. You da pro! 👍 I am in CA and your video here is making me want to get on a plane to go clear across the country for a bowl of that wonton. Those are the BIGGEST wontons I have EVER seen and I've eaten it all my life for decades. The dumplings are called "suey gow". It's a bigger version (as you can see) of the wontons and have wood ear fungus (a type of mushrooms) in it which adds crunch. It's simply delicious. One of my all the FAVORITE things to eat. The dry noodles that you were eating is called "Lo Mein", which simply means to "mix noodle" with whatever sauce.
Golf game looking strong bro 💪. And this spot definitely is added to the list. Love a good noodle soup!
🤙
Every time I see JL in his golf gear it looks like he's cosplaying Tiger Woods. 😁
I miss Edison, NJ... moved to South Carolina 5 months ago. They don't have authentic Asian restaurants like NJ/NY area. Thank you for showing my home town. I was walking distance to Wonton Guy when I lived in Edison, NJ. Makes me want to drive back just to have some authentic Asian food. 🤔😊
Do you like SC? Any regrets moving?
@@ShadowJ20 No regrets moving to SC. I just miss the Asian Markets and authentic Asian restaurants. And of course family.
@@racerx428 Thanks for the reply!
@@ShadowJ20 you're welcome!
Edison has an H-Mart now. Any by you?
This looks fire
Rt 27, wontons. I thiiiink weve been there. Edison is a great pllace for asian foods . Yes!!! Weve been there!!!
❤❤❤ Hello and good day to you ladies and gentlemen watching this video ☮️ Peace and Great Things to you and your family and friends 💯🇺🇲
Thank you same to you and your family ❤❤❤❤❤
Yum !! Those are the bulkiest won tons i've ever seen !! Wow !! I've made several screen pictures from spots you show us on the channel. Than i have some nice food coming for when ever i visit the US and i'm in the area, so thanks !! And it's always nice to see somebody enjoy their food ❤
Looks fantastic and my office is nearby, look forward to hitting this place soon!
Same
JL, When you hum and moan, and keep eating silently THAT says it all!!!!! That is your BEST review-- when you Eat and just enjoy. Mr Wonton Guy, this video and review speaks volumes of your great efforts. JL is the Foodie review King!
Hey, thanks for showing. Good video. I wish I was there right now. Thanks.
Hey JL. These restaurants be hidding gems. The best dishes.. Looks hell if yummy. Enjoy!! 🐞😋🤗
Got to check him out! Thanks for telling us about Wonton Guy!
So happy for you and your family God bless 💗
Thank you so much!!
I hope to visit one day ❤ the wonton guy energy when speaking is so gracious .
I used to live near this area, and I miss all the good asian restaurants. You had a little bit of everything, plus the H-mart and the place that has the japanese dollar store items in it.
wow, the wonton is big, noodle portion is big, and the sui gao is big too. wow😍😍😋😋. i can feel the prawn is bouncy tecture.
Looks delicious! I'll have to stop there. Thanks!
Edison is a dope area for food. If you end up going back, there's also a very good Vietnamese spot- Baguette Delite. Tastee Sub Shop is great too, and they have a really good hot pepper spread for their sandwiches.
I live here and idk what ur saying tastees is like mid😊
too many Indians
Looks like a great local place. That first dish is pretty authentic. That second dish looks like a Chinese-Italian fusion dish. Chinese do not put tomato sauce in their noodles. You are the best TH-cam foodie I've ever seen in the USA. Mark Wiens is without a doubt #1 globally. I first started watching your videos when Mark and yourself did the Philly vids together.
Thank you very much 🙌🏽
The owner said he’s from Hong Kong, which has Western influenced cuisines. There is a HK dish that I love, it’s baked spaghetti/rice with pork chop or chicken chop in a tomato cheese sauce
Dude this place is legit, a group of Chinese tried to come in to dine during the on camera interview. I’ve seen enough.
😂 great observation
Group of Chinese!!! NOT. 2 parents and their daughter came in and respectfully backed up when they saw video taping.
I live about 30 minutes south of this place and have been craving wontons recently.. This might be my next go to spot to check out! :)
I am salivating as I am watching you eat. 😋
Edison, man. That suburb has the best Chinese and Indian foods I've had in an East Coast suburb. Rutgers students frequent the restaurants in this town, too. Good stuff.
You are one of the only TH-camrs I can watch eating. I love the foodie review content from many, but your table manners and real, unexaggerated reactions I can honestly thoroughly watch without feeling unappeased.
Edit :No Diddy 💀💀
😂😂 appreciate you
I love watching him eat. Feels calming, the way he gave his genuine thoughts too
Love me some authentic shrimp wonton noodles.
im heading to nj for my first base since joining the military and you're putting me on so many spots, thank you unc
My guy is eating like a priest in a kung fu movie. That looks authentic and satisfying.
😂
"Noodle Time" next door has excellent beef soup with noodles!
That wanton soup looks incredible, I'm eating at "Wanton Guy" next time!
The second dish looked better then the first, the noodles worked as one with the ingredients.the Cher looked very happy about who things are going for the restaurant.
Thank you for continuing to showcase small NJ restaurants! I can't wait to try this. You should tru Honolulu Hawaiian and Poke Bowls. They're a new, really good Hawaiian restaurant in Somerset County.
Great looking putt 👍...the food looked amazingly delicious...newbie to your channel...love the contents of all of your videos so far...keep up the fab job 👍👍👍
Finally something good in my backyard ❤...tks
Some people just know how to cook and everything they make is good. I heard Edison has good Indian food on Oak Tree Rd. It has a high Indian population. I like those small humble places where it is about the food instead of about being pretentious and expensive.
Wonton soup is so underrated. Thank you for highlighting this business. Soup looks legit. 🤤🍜
My pleasure
10:40 My man JL looked like he heard that sound a thousand times. Homie didn't flinch one bit.
100 miles away and it is on the list. ❤👍🏻
This spot looks 🔥🔥🔥 I need to take a trip out there, those dumplings looked delicious😋. Great Video @JLJupiter👍
Love the video man! and the way you handle that chopstick is a treat lol
Nothing wrong with your chopstick skills. I've been using them all my life and I hold them same way you do 😆

My boy golfing in the lemmon 🌶️ pepper steppaz 😂😂
Not sure if or when I ever get to visit the places you go to, but I appreciate the focus on helping worthy local establishments to get the word out. Great vid.
Thank you!
I lived in Edison almost all my life, it is the mecha for Asian food on the East Coast and probably the entire US. Very high concentration of Asian immigrants and tons and tons of very good Asian restaurants all over the place. I live literally 2 minutes away from this place and never been there so I'll have to check it out soon.
Terrible place to live though unless you like overcrowdedness, constant traffic and extremely high taxes. Can't wait to get out someday and go someplace that's a bit more quiet and laid back.
Edison also has a popular Sushi spot called Sushi Palace, made to order AYCE. Very popular with the locals.
This looks sooooo good 🤤i have to take a drive asap
Was just there … I had the same shrimp wonton and beef noodle soup … satisfying meal .
Omg looks so delicious! I’m gluten free(autoimmune) so I will have to enjoy it vicariously thru you!
That looks like the most delicious Hong Kong food at that price point EVER
Ok JL. U a baller on the course bro! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
This is one of the many reasons, if not the main reason I miss my home state, NJ..The food is unmatched, imo
I luv chilli oil on my Food also 😁
Jl Jupiter, U find the best restaurant, I love ur good vlogs. Poppin!!Popping!!! Also entertaining. U the Best.
Food
Thank you 🙏🏼
I will be here soon ! So good
Food looked crazyyy goood
Hearing Cantonese is becoming so rare now. I wish I lived nearby.
It’s like when one of the shows during 60/70’s introducing Bruce Lee as a mandarin star and Bruce had to make it clear that he’s Cantonese💯
Excellent content! Golf and wontons! What could be better?!
I gotta visit New Jersey someday, I can clearly see it has legendary Asian food.
JL, you should try Joe's Peking Duck House in Marlton. They have fire wonton noodle soup and other things.
Damn food looks amazing! Great video as always man. Stay safe out there. ✌️❤️😊
As usual I'm going to the kitchen now 😀 Always enjoy your content 🙏❤️😋
I could eat a good Wonton Noodle Soup at least 3 times a week. Maybe every day in winter.
Send some to Vegas looks grrrrrrreat and your description, is err thang!!
They’re amazing there. You should also try coco Asian the Malaysian place next door. Both spots are amazing and authentic
Next time I’m in town I’ll visit Coco
Quail Ridge is a decent County Course. Personally, it's much more satisfying shooting a good score from the Back Tees. Good to see your challenging your game. If you have the opportunity you should try to play the Monmouth County Courses. IMO they have the best County Golf Courses in NJ. Homing Hill, Charleston Springs, Howell Park are all nice tracks. Hominy Hills is a Robert Trent Jones course. All very challenging from the Tips.
Thanks! I’ll be sure to look up some of those courses
@@JLJupiterTV Neshanic Valley Golf Course is Somerset NJ prize 27 hole public course. The Ridge 9 with its elevation changes is stunning. It was ranked #6 Best Public County Golf course in America. A MUST play
Nice golf shots! You should do some golf vlogs too
Man JL, feelin you on the dumpling texture and noodles. Looks like an awesome bite. Chyeeeeee…
JL go back and go to Coco Asain Cuisine next door...try the chicken and beef satay..kinda pricey but 🔥...chicken curry is good too
Next time!
That looked great do our know what that pork. And red sauce was called looking good visit
Great job show will make my way there
This place is so good.
J love a bowl of hot tanggald up noodles... I NEVER seen won tons that big in my life😲😄
OMG, I LIVE IN EDISON AND THANK YOU FOR TELLING US ABOUT THE WONTON GUY!!!
You’re welcome
Some chili oils I recommend are Zindrews and Chilee!
👏🏻 on those chopsticks 🥢skills
😂 got some skills
Wow! Wonton guy! All right for that!
I need to go there😂
Love wonton soup! I wish we had this place in Aotearoa New Zealand id go there all the time!
Real authentic wonton cuisine. This is what happens when quality isn't skipped. They don't "cheat their customers ".
dang very nice swing man !! keep it up
Who else was trying to take a bite off of JL's chop sticks? Looks amazing
It all looks great
Those wontons look legit straight outta Hong Kong! When you’re in Queens, NYC, you’ll have to compare the wontons at Maxi’s Noodle too. It’s delicious there as well! My favorite store bought chili crisp oil is a brand called Lao Gan ma.
Wonton Guy sells his homemade chili crisp oil. It's the hottest I have had; hotter than the extra spicy FlyByJing and Momo versions.
im in queens right now ima pop out to maxi's noodle
Damn dude some good golf skills. I just started and I am terrrible lol😅
Even alot of people in my state of nj don’t know Edison is the 3 biggest city in our state. So JL was in north Edison
Looks so good!!
Where do you get that kind of noodles they look great
Great place
Dang! That looks good!
It looks delicious
It was!
