Haven't watched yet Haven't dismissed your opinion I just thought it would be of value to point out he's actually not yet the joker. Also doesn't mean he has origin he is just in the middle of the transition
I understand that. I also understand that, having already sat through Romero, Nicholson, Hamill, Ledger, Leto, Monaghan, and Phoenix, many fans must have seen Keoghan and thought, "Not the Joker AGAIN!" But I believe that, as Batman aficionados, we NEED the Joker, and especially nowadays more than ever. With the portrayals of Batman becoming ever more self-serious and "adult," both the Joker and Harley Quinn offer us a sort of guilty pleasure. We know they're not good people, but we almost root for them because they're funny and cool, whereas all of heroes and most of the other villains tend to be grim, unsmiling tight-asses in modern Batman media. And, on a meta level, I'd say that's a stroke of genius, because that's a real-life application of the Joker's own philosophy. He knows we all want to be entertained and have fun, so he uses those aspects of his personality to corrupt us, just as he corrupted Harley. What's more, he knows we WANT to be corrupted. If we viewed all the Batman stories through a moralizing and self-tortured lens, we wouldn't have any fun at all.
I think either both of the scenes should have been in the film or neither of em, but I am happy that it ultimately it wasn't in the film. I'd love to see a full version of the film where all of the deleted scenes are included.
“Look I’m just a proprietor ok” I would love to hear you talk more about the characters in this series. I’m so excited to see more of this Joker because I loved that’s deleted scene and I think the future is very bright
I actually like this take and hope this is the relationship they have in the series without joker having to be a main villain. Maybe these interactions can be kept as a post-credit scene after each movie
Although I definitely feel like there wasn't a need for a new joker. Barry keoghan is a very talented actor and came from an orphanage. And there was a emphasis on how poorly people were treated in orphanages in the Batman so he is definitely damaged just like the joker without getting the tattoo on his forehead, you could also see how uncomfortable he made Batman, he will be a great Joker in the future I predict movie #3.
I hope that if he returns in the second movie he actually act like the joker we know and love from the comics and animated shows not another guy who's joker in name only like Joaquin Phoenix's joker even if I liked it

The Joker looming in the background insinuates a past and world building. I love it. I’m glad they cut the scene from the body of the movie, but love the idea. And still feel his presence. I agree with what you said about the deleted scene and wonder if that was included in an overall ending that they had to reshoot and add more action in.
I like Barry Keoghan as the Joker. His facial features are really unsettling, his voice, though not my favorite Joker voice, is on point, and his dynamic with Batman in the deleted scene is really cool. I don't think this cameo was necessary, and I would've preferred a less commonly used villain to have been teased, but if this is one of the main things to complain about in this movie, I'd say it's doing pretty good.
They have an opportunity to build up their joker as a real big threat now, do exactly what marvel did with Thanos and build him up over several films before he and Pattinson’s Batman actually meet
I actually loved Barry’s take on Joker. He seems like a master manipulator who knows how to get to anyone. He’s a threat being 4 inch thick protective glass and is unpredictable. He can get under your skin and tear you apart from the inside out. I’m ok seeing popular characters repeatedly if they do something different with them, which really seems to be the case here. I can’t wait to see more of him tbh. Edit: I have a good feeling about this one guys mark my word. Also if I had to rank it’d be: 1. Mark Hammil 2. Heath Ledger 3. Joquain Phoenix 4. Barry Kheogan

I do really like that they didn’t cast a household name. Every other Joker on the big screen has been an instantly recognizable actor, and I think that that can sometimes take a little away from their performance of the character. Not a lot, but enough to notice I think.
Just found ur channel the other day and your vids made me go back and watch the batman again, holy crap that movie is good and the cast is really really good top to bottom.
The Riddler has become my favorite Batman villain, mostly because of his portrayal in TAS, Frank Gorshin, and that he's so underutilized in favor of the Joker. That ending laugh off between the two made me instantly recall the hilarious scene in Batman 66 where Joker and Riddler play off each other at Penguins expense "oh hohohoho make those messages clear! " TH-cam it to get the reference
I am really hoping Barry's take on the Joker is more of him being a psychopath not so much an anarchist I feel like Barry could be really terrifying with the right material.
The scene with jokers spoilers should have been the post credit scene, with the title card of “3 days ago” or something. Let you see it, had it in the movie, shown you joker, involved him in the plot, made it canon, but don’t let him actually spoil the plot.
I don't understand why they have to keep making the Joker look less clean. Also every iteration just pushes him farther into the realms of a physical example of a psychotic. Which I don't like because I like a Joker that doesn't present himself as a threat. Joker should seem almost harmless. Kind of like how Pennywise in Stephen Kings IT, tricks young Georgia closer to the sewer. Anyways, if one of these past three Jokers was ever out and about, no child would approach them. Something about a Joker that can cradle a kid on their knee and make balloon animals... but has a bloody razor in his hand is far more superior an image than some dude with terrible scars or gang tattoos. I think of the Batman Animated series where the mayors son gets in the back of the jokers truck and goes to his lair. The kid doesn't understand how much of a psycho he is because... he looks like a clown.
Exactly, I seems like ever since heath ledger, every actor tries too hard to be 'unique' or 'original' as ledger. Can we just get a classic looking joker?
There are plans for Joker in the upcoming Arkham series on HBO. Barry and Matt have hinted at that a few times. And he’s most likely returning fully formed in The Batman Part III so it wouldn’t surprise me if he has another cameo at the end of Part II (this time with Joker and Riddler welcoming a new buddy). So yeah, it was there for a reason even though it’s not sequel bait in the obvious “he’s the next main villain!” way. Matt also said that he put that scene in there to show the crazier villains scheming, which would foreshadow what’s to come during Batman’s crusade.
There’s Literally Alot of Batman Villains that Could Be Explored and I want a Comic Book Accurate Portrayal of the Joker and Not a Dark Knight Joker Inspiration.
Awesome video Vee! I also really loved the cut scene and totally agree with your stance on it. Awesome on it's own, but 100% was rightfully cut from the completed movie. Look.... I'm just the proprietor.
I think the scene that made it was corny and didn't fit the movie. The scene where they conversate however was great for me because it would be a great scene if people didn't know who Joker is if we think hypothetically that the Batman is just a crime thriller movie based on nothing. Shows this Batman guy is willing to go down and talk to killers and criminals to elevate his detective skills. Any detective on the street will go through protocol and interrogate suspects pertaining to said crime, the Batman is the World's Greatest Detective because he is willing to be in the same room with the most fucked up people on planet earth and empathize with them for knowledge. Most of the 7 billion people on planet earth would never go talk to this joker seriously besides naive fascination. Batman is literally using evil to get the upper hand on good. I think anybody who never read or seen Batman would appreciate the Arkham scene because it settled the score on whether this Batman character is also crazy up to that point in the film. He isn't. It shows how self aware and serious this "Gotham Project" is to Bruce Wayne.
You make a good case but personally I still think they should have left in the film. I love the juxtaposition between this scene with joker and later with riddler in the same room. Both of them know something Batman doesn’t giving them the upper hand despite being “caught”. Showing joker first also shows the audience a character that just by looking at him you can tell this guy belongs in the looney bin. When you see riddler later again sitting in the exact same place as joker it’s just this normal average baby faced looking guy smiling back at him. P.s. I am biased as I’m a huge fan of manhunter and always thought Batman and joker had a similar relationship as Hannibal and will graham.
Matt Reeves also said he isn't even called the Joker at this point in Batman's career. I think it'd be POIFECT that, if they ever do bring him into these movies, he starts off being called *Gwynplaine* , like the Man Who Laughs.
Not sure if this is only me, but around 1:00 - 1:15, the footage is very glitchy, breaking multiple times and it's really painful to watch. Is it just me? I feel l need another person to verify this. Either way, I hope that will be fixed.
This scene absolutely needed kept in, just reworked. It needed to not so much point to Riddler but rather to Batman. He should rattle the Bat by saying “WE did this… so we are the killers” because escalation theory is what really haunts Bruce. That he makes the monsters, not stop them. And having them already had faced off absolutely explains why cops let Batman walk into the crime scene and why Gordon trusts him so much. Because whatever Joker did that Batman stopped left that much of an impression on the city, for better or worse.
The appearance of the Joker at the end of The Batman is a preview of the next installment, which they sometimes did in the old TV show with Adam West. In other words, an ad for "coming attractions."
I honestly quite like the idea of the joker and other Batman villains being in the new movies but not being the focus kind of like the riddler trophies in Arkham asylum
I did like his take I guess and honestly if they announced that he would be the main villain of the sequel I am all for it. I just hope next time we see him he has a full head of hair so he does not look like a 60s carnival worker.
honestly, I would prefer if he had background involvement until this series is ready to conclude. It'd be dope to have him as this line of films final villain.
>"I just hope next time we see him he has a full head of hair so he does not look like a 60s carnival worker." >Joker's getup has always LITERALLY been a clown What lol
I personally feel he hasn't had enough screen time to have any problems.... (Edit: I personally feel he's the best joker so far, only if heath wasn't already him, he'd be #1)
Hey Vee Infuso great video!! I was wondering what you think about some of the latest Batman news like Keaton in the Flash Trailer and Movie!? Who will be the Villian in Batman Part 2 and what do you think about the new Batman and Damien Wayne Robin movie Brave and the Bold?!
This version of Joker mostly reminds me of Arkham Asylum: Serious House On Serious Earth. Joker in there is always drawn a little differently, and twisted like something from an unfocused nightmare
Nothing since we've not had a chance to see him. I don't feel he's "shoehorned" in considering it's supposed to be a trilogy. We may get the War of Jokes and Riddles.
I think the Batman part two should utilize this deleted sequence by opening up the film with it. It would backtrack us a little bit to remind us of the troubles that Batman had with the Riddler, while introducing the joker again, but in a bigger capacity than at the end of the last film. Honestly, it could be the only scene using the character in the entire film. Or, they could bring him back for one more scene toward the end. But all they really need to do is slap this scene on the beginning of the film to do a little bit of world building, and to remind us of What Batman has been through so far and it would not only be a perfect way of utilizing this footage, but also to get the new set of circumstances started. It would be a fantastic opening for the Batman part two.
Wait....was that Kevin Conroy giving the venom to Bane? Holy shit, if not they could be twins. And Edward Norton looks a lot like Harvey dent in that clip
My semi-issue is that this was predicted for the Joker’s role in TDKR. Users on SuperheroHype after 2008 said Ledger’s Joker - played by, of course, JGL - was going to be a Hannibal-esque figure in Arkham who would help Batman with the Riddler - Riddler being an FBI agent gone rogue, mind, which was a neat idea. And now that’s it’s come to life, I’m feeling kinda underwhelmed being one of those who saw this idea thought out years ago.
minor mistake you made, Jack Nicholson’s joker did not get his permasmile from the vat of chemicals. He gets it from a plastic surgeon trying to save his face, after it was severely injured and disfigured in the vat of chemicals, during which he asks the surgeon to give him a permasmile.
I'll fix it when it's put into the final cut of The Batman video. Thank you for bringing that to my attention--- I've been having some issues with my new work computer.
I agree that every batman movie doesn't need joker to be a good movie. The riddler in this one was amazing. Me personally, I'd love to see a "Gotham " scarecrow in an upcoming batman film. Just as dark and eerie. I'd love it.
Disturbing is the right word. And that's how Joker should be not how Nolan did him. Joker isn't an anarchist reform leader, he's a disturbing neutral force of chaos.
It was beyond idiotic for them to film a Joker scene. It added nothing to the movie & killed any hype for a Joker reveal in a follow up film. One of the biggest marketing tools is the anticipation on a Joker casting & reveal. They blew that on a cheap cameo with a nobody. 👏
Actually I think this was smart as they realized it was pointless and removed the scene from the film but also decided that we don't need to hype up the joker as it's not trying to be the dark knight
Brain dumb! Idk why but half of the new dc stuff I don’t actually watch but I do enjoy watching Vee Infuso’s videos about the subjects. It kinda gives me the vibe of watching Jeremy Wade, from River monsters, talk about fish and weird folk tales.
personally this my opinon nd im a huge fan of the joker hes one of my favourite villans, nd hes batmans arch nemisis, i know theres other good batman villans and they all deserve a spot in the spot light. but for me at least i want to see the joker in the matt reeves batman universe thats hes creating. im pretty sure hes planning on make a trilogy, nd personally i dont want to see the joker in the second film but rather have him in the last film as the main big bad final villan for matt reeves trilogy on the batman nd i think that would make for great story telling leaving batmans best villan for last, as well he is batmans best villan i know there are alot of stories on him and some people are tried of that but theres a reason hes been in soo many batman films, games, comics and tv shows cuz ultimately hes batmans best villan nd always does make for great story telling when hes in it
They did it in the BTAS all the time, at the end of an episode Batman would be in Arkham and you would see various villains in their cells he put away and it was to let you know who else exist in his world. Nothing wrong with it in The Batman.

Yo V the screen turning green freak me out lol . I though my phone was dying
Great video
Matt Reeves also said he isn't even called the Joker at this point in Batman's career. I think it'd be POIFECT that, if they ever do bring him into these movies, he starts off being called *Gwynplaine* , like the Man Who Laughs.
I love Cameron Monaghan's Joker in the Gotham series
But his name is Jerome Valeska.
Not sure if this is only me, but around 1:00 - 1:15, the footage is very glitchy, breaking multiple times and it's really painful to watch.
Is it just me? I feel l need another person to verify this. Either way, I hope that will be fixed.
I see it too.
Why is the video glitching.
I honestly quite like the idea of the joker and other Batman villains being in the new movies but not being the focus kind of like the riddler trophies in Arkham asylum
There is one thing I can slam on behalf of many. It doesn't feel like a Batman story, without the Joker.
>"I just hope next time we see him he has a full head of hair so he does not look like a 60s carnival worker."
>Joker's getup has always LITERALLY been a clown
What lol
I personally feel he hasn't had enough screen time to have any problems....
(Edit: I personally feel he's the best joker so far, only if heath wasn't already him, he'd be #1)
Vee infuso more like Pee Infuso fuckin gotem
... I didn't ask to be attacked.
@@VI_V2 love your videos man ❤️
Are the graphical glitches part of the video, or do I need a new phone?
I couldn't quite understand what the fuck dude was saying for the phrase, but keep making Batman content
"If you're not a children, piss off" is the best
Technically the smile for Nicholson came from the bullet ricocheting before he fell in & the guy who fixed his face.
Really cool breakdown.
he has skin disease from ace chemicals fall, just like Jeremiah Valeska
Just like Jack Nicholsons joker
*Look... I'm just the proprietor, okay?*
I loved both the joker scenes and him interacting with Batman and Riddler was great and yes I'd like to see a video on the penguin 👏👍
Also what do you think about the new DCU slate?
I hope you check out Barry Keogan’s work. Banshees of Inesherin, Eternals, just to name some favorites.
Very interesting video
“HoW uNiQuE aNd GoOd”😂❤
This Joker scene should be put back in the Batman sequel!
They gonna do a joker prequel?
Am I the only one that sees that the screen is glitching?
Nope.
Your are so much fun
This version of Joker mostly reminds me of Arkham Asylum: Serious House On Serious Earth. Joker in there is always drawn a little differently, and twisted like something from an unfocused nightmare
Honestly tho Jared’s jokers teeth do make sense he killed robin and Batman beat the teeth out of his mouth
Do a video on terminator the Sarah Connor chronicles
I think the full end scene was never intended to be in the movie, but released for hype.
Anyone else seeing the glitching?
During the 66 Batman Footage, right?
Yeah thank F i thought it was my TV lol
I'll fix it when it's put into the final cut of The Batman video. Thank you for bringing that to my attention--- I've been having some issues with my new work computer.
He doesn't look like a traditional joker but the riddler had a new take that worked
I agree that every batman movie doesn't need joker to be a good movie. The riddler in this one was amazing.
Me personally, I'd love to see a "Gotham " scarecrow in an upcoming batman film. Just as dark and eerie. I'd love it.
If there will be a second movie, then the scene with Joker can be include as a flashback. To show how the Joker escape the asylum.
I wasn’t too enthralled with this Joker. He seemed like he is doing Heath with a little bit of dark graphic novel Joker. I don’t know….seen better
Definitely need to see a Penguin vid
Another problem with the scene,is that it would have undermined the rriddler scene in arkham, because people would remember the joker scene more
please make a rpoblem with the riddler, that character is riddler in name only
The Joker from this movie almost ruined the movie for me. He looked ridiculous.
Disturbing is the right word. And that's how Joker should be not how Nolan did him.
Joker isn't an anarchist reform leader, he's a disturbing neutral force of chaos.
That's joker. Joker is supposed to look disturbing.
He looks exactly like the joker from the black mirror comic
@@Kiiieeechiii I'm sure all 5 people will love it. He looks stupid.
0:49 FUCKING THANK YOU
It was beyond idiotic for them to film a Joker scene.
@@kwayneboy1524 that doesn't make any sense
@@nebulousy how?
Brain dumb! Idk why but half of the new dc stuff I don’t actually watch but I do enjoy watching Vee Infuso’s videos about the subjects. It kinda gives me the vibe of watching Jeremy Wade, from River monsters, talk about fish and weird folk tales.
personally this my opinon nd im a huge fan of the joker hes one of my favourite villans, nd hes batmans arch nemisis, i know theres other good batman villans and they all deserve a spot in the spot light. but for me at least i want to see the joker in the matt reeves batman universe thats hes creating. im pretty sure hes planning on make a trilogy, nd personally i dont want to see the joker in the second film but rather have him in the last film as the main big bad final villan for matt reeves trilogy on the batman nd i think that would make for great story telling leaving batmans best villan for last, as well he is batmans best villan i know there are alot of stories on him and some people are tried of that but theres a reason hes been in soo many batman films, games, comics and tv shows cuz ultimately hes batmans best villan nd always does make for great story telling when hes in it
I want Two-Face to have a movie to himself, as well as Scarecrow.
Manhunter the superior Hannibal movie.
They did it in the BTAS all the time, at the end of an episode Batman would be in Arkham and you would see various villains in their cells he put away and it was to let you know who else exist in his world. Nothing wrong with it in The Batman.
