I don't think it was scripted. It pretty much threw Jimmy the last couple of minutes. He was trying really hard to redeem himself by making fun of Jerry for saying, "Oh, the birthday clown." He was done. Jerry's the man.

I love this show, I think Jimmy Fallon is a good host, yes he is awkward and his laugh isn't the greatest but I honestly think he is genuine. Its just that he is awkward so his laugh sounds awkward but his so talented.
Jimmy is extremely talented and funny and I love watching his show. I love almost all of the talk show hosts. Colbert, Seth, Conan, Fallon etc. they all have their different styles. Don’t get me wrong - I love Jimmy, he’s just not right for a talk show host. He’s very funny, super talented, and so much fun, he just is too awkward around celebrities and his fake laughs are just cringeworthy. Even Jerry had to say something @ 7:47
