@@francoise8110 i dont think the 1980s is MODERN FOOTBALL,it's still the classic age, little transfers, no Bosman laws, no big scale commercials and those players play football like play games in Sao Paolo or Milan street, the Football System is not so complete like 1990s to now, so this is my point.
@@guangzhouguide This is all very subjective, it depends a lot on when you grew up (it's easier to have better memories of moments happening in your childhood). But I kinda agree though, I'd say the period was between 96 and 2006, the Wolrd Cup in Germany being the turning point between Figo-Zidane-Beckham-Nedved-Ronaldo generation and the new one of Messi/Cristiano. Also you could say Bosman rule really started to turn football into a show where transferts seem to be as entertaining as the games for some people and Premier League takes over Europe while Serie A loses their leadership.
@@guangzhouguideafter the height of Ronaldinho in 2006 and his sudden decline it was over for football. These guys today ate nothing but mercenaries that I can't find myself rooting for.
After all that effort 2 years of qualifying and millions of air miles from the Faroe Islands to Fiji the actual winner of France 98 never had to leave Paris to win it.
Looking at the clips with Chile and I am thinking wow....Zamarano and Salas can be used to teach a whole generation of forwards how to finish.....
the golden ages of modern football is definetly the late 1990s especially 1996-1998.
Golden âge ? ????1982 1987 .platini zico Maradona,rummenigge,and others ...

Great work! Many of these games are played in 1997, would be excellent if you can add European qualifiers played in 1996 :)
