I was falsely accused at my job at the department of Veterans Affairs by my boss and a co-worker. I desperately tried to defend myself with 30 character witnesses. It was useless. Two years later I had an emergency quad bypass. My boss said I was expected back in two weeks. I was in the hospital for six weeks and never returned. I won my disability suit which they fought for me to lose. I have PTSD from it all. There are people in the world so evil it defies description.

The cops pulled me over 3 days after he left! I should have gone with my instinct and reported his car for having illegal radar gun jamming hardware since he was doing this to me. Later I found out that they had pulled him over for something unrelated but discovered the EM emitters he installed on the front and back of his car on the inside, he was an electrician! They impounded his car!

I couldn't understand why they did not get drug possession charges in addition to whatever else they actually were charged with. Her DNA was on the pills. She was obviously in possession of the drugs. The only reason I can think of is that the drugs they used were prescribed to them specifically so it would make them not illegal for them to possess, but I do not know if that is why they were not charged for them. The charges they did get were a slap on the wrist. At least they served some jail time and got hit with a big judgement (not that they will ever pay it). Awfully stupid to ruin your career and marriage over something so trivial.

So..as others have questioned: 1) why weren't they charged with drug possession - obviously..if they admitted to planting the drugs, and the pipe had their DNA on it, why no possession charge. 2) Were they both disbarred? You have TWO LAWYERS who knowingly tried to have an innocent woman charged with a felony, and took possession of, and planted illicit drugs in her car. As the Judge who sentenced Michael Cohn just stated: "You are a Lawyer...you should have known better." 3) Why weren't they charged with Criminal Conspiracy? They conspired with each other to have an innocent person charged with a felony. 4) WTF is up with that sentencing?? You can RUIN someone's life for 6 years and get 120 days.?? As I often tell my sons...never confuse Justice with the Law/Court system. They are almost mutually exclusive, and there is NOTHING fair about the Criminal Justice system. 5) He can declare all the Bankruptcy he wants...if this was ordered by the Courts, then they should garnishee a percentage of both their wages, from now til they are paid up or die. 6) CPS should remove their child from their custody...they are SOCIOPATHS, and that poor kid's life is going to be hellish. If they’d been charged with possession they could have gotten off with no jail time and gone to drug rehabilitation programs as part of their defense. Also she’ll probably file for their home and other assets to cover the debt until it’s been paid off and she’ll definitely win that case. Also, the jail time doesn’t really matter in the long run because both were disbarred and cannot practice law in the state of California. Even if they file for a renewed license, no one in their right mind would hire them again, so their lives have effectively been destroyed and they are now $5.7 million in debt, which will no doubt be enforced by the court. I’d say the judge did a good job, plus they’ve got a record for the rest of their lives (unless they can pay to expunge their records but I’m not sure if California has certain crimes that cannot be expunged from your records, just like a PBJ for a DUI here in Maryland can never be expunged).

I couldn't understand why they did not get drug possession charges in addition to whatever else they actually were charged with. Her DNA was on the pills. She was obviously in possession of the drugs.
The only reason I can think of is that the drugs they used were prescribed to them specifically so it would make them not illegal for them to possess, but I do not know if that is why they were not charged for them. The charges they did get were a slap on the wrist. At least they served some jail time and got hit with a big judgement (not that they will ever pay it).

1) why weren't they charged with drug possession - obviously..if they admitted to planting the drugs, and the pipe had their DNA on it, why no possession charge.
2) Were they both disbarred? You have TWO LAWYERS who knowingly tried to have an innocent woman charged with a felony, and took possession of, and planted illicit drugs in her car. As the Judge who sentenced Michael Cohn just stated: "You are a Lawyer...you should have known better."
3) Why weren't they charged with Criminal Conspiracy? They conspired with each other to have an innocent person charged with a felony.
4) WTF is up with that sentencing?? You can RUIN someone's life for 6 years and get 120 days.?? As I often tell my sons...never confuse Justice with the Law/Court system. They are almost mutually exclusive, and there is NOTHING fair about the Criminal Justice system.
5) He can declare all the Bankruptcy he wants...if this was ordered by the Courts, then they should garnishee a percentage of both their wages, from now til they are paid up or die.

If they’d been charged with possession they could have gotten off with no jail time and gone to drug rehabilitation programs as part of their defense. Also she’ll probably file for their home and other assets to cover the debt until it’s been paid off and she’ll definitely win that case. Also, the jail time doesn’t really matter in the long run because both were disbarred and cannot practice law in the state of California. Even if they file for a renewed license, no one in their right mind would hire them again, so their lives have effectively been destroyed and they are now $5.7 million in debt, which will no doubt be enforced by the court. I’d say the judge did a good job, plus they’ve got a record for the rest of their lives (unless they can pay to expunge their records but I’m not sure if California has certain crimes that cannot be expunged from your records, just like a PBJ for a DUI here in Maryland can never be expunged).
