Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit th-cam.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.

*It's great caught caught a brown trout on the first cast. **enjoyable.fishing** recommend if it was a little smaller it would be more effective for different species*

When the tails get bit off your Vudus, keep the jigheads. They are the perfect shape to throw on some salty bits and bounce or drag them on the bottom.

One thing though guys. Highly recommend life vests for kayak and or boating. Life happens and so do accidents.

if you want to use another effective softbait, use the storm wildeye shad color: olive green. size: 3 inch
Vudu shrimps (you can also try the smaller sizes for the small snooks) and the storm shads are my favorites. Best all rounders for saltwater fish. (Especially snook and tarpon).
And a tip if you use livebait; You need to cast and pop the cork every few seconds to maximize strikes/catches. Reel in, cast , pop the cork repeat.

I've learned a lesson the hard way when i always said i'll fish real bait "dead or live". I found out the hard way lures "Soft,Hard, sinking,Floating and suspended. jigs also are great option both have a really major success

I like the plastic-rubber shrimp the voodoo has a realistic body , “but” I wish the coloration was the same as a regular shrimp, as the whole trick of a lure is to present itself as being as natural as possible, the good part is the little thieves don’t steal it before he bigger fish can get to it , so the next thing is size , Erin stop giggling , the voodoo shrimp is smaller than say a DOA and I think that fish look at it and take it more readily but then big baits big fish ! Ya ya I know elephants eat peanuts, so now we have color and size , let’s talk action , voodoo shrimp has got some moves , it looks realistic 👍🏼, and then there’s fish ability, and here’s a suggestion, when your out yaking fan cast the area in front of you , start at 9:00 o’ clock and work the voodoo slowly in a fan pattern to 3:00 o’clock , I catch myself working the lure to fast sometimes those finicky fish need it put in front of their face and next maybe add some sent make it smell real, I’ve been trying the small fake crabs to but not having as much luck with them , but that’s another vide bro ! 👍🏼
