I've not seen much of classic who so watching all these classic doctor compilations makes me feel quite emotional and even more passionate about my favourite show :') i just love doctor who so much and i can't put it into words; it's just amazing and incredible with loveable characters and i just love it :)

The reason Mary Tamm left is because her character went from calm and collected to the archetypal 'scream' type. It really did do a diservice to her character. Lala Ward seemed too eager to copy the Doctor. Leela I enjoyed because her character ... evolved. She went from believing the Doctor was Xoanon an evil God and had magic, to at least understanding how to interact with the Tardis. (thats not to mention that some of her stories were the best Doctor Who has ever produced). She interprested the world through less primitive eyes. If you have noticed Doctor who has generally had companions from either the future or the present day. THose that understand technology we cannot to those that understand what we have now (and I think personally its a bit of a waste on the show to keep doing this). Its rare they introduce a companion from a more earlier part of history or from a Society that had devolved.. this makes Leela great!

I like the way he comes as charming and smiles even when he is putting you down. That line and scene is my roomates favorite all-time Tom Baker/Doctor Who moment so far out of many great ones from Tom.

I even liked the poorly-made BBC series of Narnia, that ended with my favorite book “The Silver Chair”. My favorite character in that story was a strange creature called “Puddleglum”, because of a speech he gave at the climax. Guess who played him? Tom Baker.
