Love it Rich. Take photos of the bike on the ground for future ammunition. Absolutely agree with you that if a camp sute is jammed full then you need to breath and move on. Good decision . Brilliant video and 30 minutes long, just the ticket 💪
I enjoyed this episode (as I have every other episode) and they get better with each one. Nice to see you tip over the ten thousand subscribers too. Poland certainly looks like a great place to tour by motorcycle... When I camp in The New Forest I pitch my tent as far from any other humans as I can...The quieter the better... Kocham cie. Do widzenia
We fancy trying the new forest there’s a fair bit to see there, small campsites are often best, usually the back garden of some farmer or something turns out to be best
i went into a cake shop the other day and asked how much do you sell your wasps for ? she replied we didn't sell wasps sir , i said you've got them in the window 🤣🤣🤣
Most excellent watch! Sorry, but I did giggle, a bit. We all have off days. My personnel dislike is unannounced road closures. But at the end of the day we are on bikes together, not working, in the sun, and a beer is waiting. Could be worse. Gps way points peeps. Trust me. And we love Poland. Beautiful biking country with excellent ale and history to enjoy. Ride safe 👍
Hi just found your channel, enjoyed the episode & no to a campsite like that. I had one similar at Barcelona MotoGP a time back & it was grim so grim l left all my ew camping gear there vowing never again. All the best I look forward to catching more episodes from you both.👍
I can see how it would be tempting to give up so easily, campsites are swings and roundabouts, some are great peaceful clean places to relax and others just suck
You're surely right about peace and quiet. Hate does kind of camp site's. Would do exactly the same! And don't worry, everyone has days like that, that you'll remember forever and tell everyone about....
Cracking video me and the misses enjoyed watching it. That campsite looked well ropy. Poland looks a lot nicer and totally different to what I have been told, the buildings look really nice.
What a day for you !! I can’t believe those women chatting at the door didn’t come to see if Ewa was OK when she dropped her bike. Just completely ignored her.
That’s what I Thought all they said to Ewa was „ohhh that bike is too big and heavy for a woman”. Maybe they didn’t want to get in the way since Rich was there 😃
My wife and i just recently completed a 2700km trip in South Africa where we reside, we travel 2 up, top box and panniers.I dropped the bike twice just by moving of a slight incline to backup the bike, all i need is a 50mm dropoff if i am not careful and thats it , we wear the riding overpants and that extra thickness shortens my inside leg lenght just enough to cause this problem, i ride a Honda VFR 800 Crossrunner and then also preload the suspension for the load. Most of the Cafe stalls next to our main roads lay crusher stone in their parking lots and i have also come a cropper just turning into one of these spots, there are numerous videos of bikers dropping their bikes.Dont say never, sooner or later it happens.Ride safe.❤

That church looked like the Norwegian wooden ones. It looks really beautiful the wood is superb. Pity you couldnt go in. I agree that campsite was awful. It is like one on the border of Germany and Luxembourg. There were motorhomes and tents within touching distance of each other and it cost a fortune. I dont think you expect too much. We only did it as we were meeting others there. So sorry about your fall, glad you are ok. Ive done that on my electric bike in the pandemic. I dont believe garmin satnavs.Well done so glad you found a good site and on 10K
We have encountered allot of sites like that, we have now learnt not to accept it and just move on somewhere else it always works out much better. Yes the churches here are superb to look at we have a few more amazing ones to show you in Poland
I did chuckle a bit when you were forced to go on the grass. All that marketing budget spent by Honda to persuade you the AT is an off-road bike! Great vid.
Yes we talk about that allot. These bikes are too big and heavy for that stuff. You need the crf300 for that. These are touring bikes BUT Honda are selling the adventure dream… same as GS and the other bike bikes
There are always days like that one where things go wrong! That church looked amazing. That campsite is much better. Dinner looks like the sort of things we eat when on the road some days you just have to go with the flow
Hi I realy hate over full camp sites too tend to camp away from tourist areas so no guys not just you to add insult to injury Eva dropping her AT but as long as your both OK and Eva we all have bad days as long as no injury it's all part of the adventure stay safe guys great vid
Dump those Garmins and look for a sponsorship/deal with Tom Tom. We have been all over Europe and only mistakes were poor operator skills. Another great episode guys, keep it going, love it!
Another fascinating vlog and totally with you on that site, what do people get from staying there?!!! Sat navs can be so annoying too, I've ended up in a field before now, following their instructions!
Another brilliant slice of real life on tour. Last but one bike drop was (of course) on video camera and later featured on a TH-cam channel. I am now known by that creator and his buddy as Colt Severs. Last bike drop was in the Cairngorms, on a tiny back road. It was 26 degrees and the tarmac under the side stand melted! I HATE noisy camp sites. Last time I was in Scotland, the site I had been at all week turned, over the course of a couple of hours, from a deserted site into a packed out family site, complete with a dozen under twelves running about kicking a football. All lovely stuff, but not my cuppa any more. When it became quite apparent that things were not going to quieten down (parents drinking wine!), I packed up and left, at 6.30pm.... and rode the 450 miles all the way home.
@ontheroadadventure porridge was excellent.. I used to live in Enstone and Graham gardiner from the Goodies lived 2 doors down and Ronnie Barker would park his Rolls Royce outside his house

I bet your Garmin was configured in “Shortest route” in stead of “Fastest route”. I have been using them for many years in planes, cars and bikes and they work pretty well if used and configured correctly.
No, its fastest route, avoid tolls and motorway. I’ve used it for years too up to now it’s been amazing but in Europe the last two tours it’s been useless
@@ontheroadadventure And is the “Unpaved Roads” avoidance active? If not you can have quite adventurous surprises 😬 Another factor is the quality of the map data. Garmin Zumos come with maps and data provided by HERE while TomTom units use TomTom maps. Both are recognised as leading mapping companies but quality can differ of course. And the maps can be very good for some countries and bad for others. I’m not a big fan of the rather basic routing done by Google Maps but I do use Waze if I need to get fast somewhere taking traffic into account or I need to pass Paris on the way south for example. Also: don’t become a slave of the magenta line and keep your situational awareness up. If it looks wrong don’t continue, follow the main road but allow the auto recalc to do its work and ride on.
Another thoroughly entertaining episode, everyone has bad days. Maybe you should change the title to 'on the road - misadventures' 😂 you're still smiling which is all that matters we really enjoyed this one 😊
what a nice day you had! why don't you use google maps all the time that is not only updated but also shows traffic? it takes really little of data on the phone. on top of that you can always download the map once you have access to wifi and if there is no coverage in the places, it will navigate you using offline maps. I would never trust old fashion maps on SD card or so from Garmin or whoever else
Lays crisps are an American brand and they and Walker crisp are owned by Pepsi Cola. I have Lays when visiting friends in California they taste quite similar to Walkers but not quite the same. We all have off days when travelling - my classic is to get the wrong bus and going miles out of my way only to have to find my way back. That can be quite fun in a country where they speak English let alone somewhere they do not. 🙀🙀🙀🙀🙀
@@ontheroadadventure I lived in London for a few years with my two daughters. One day we were walking along a different route from our home to local shops when I realised there was a problem. I told my girls that we were going on an adventure. My elder daughter, with all the wisdom of a 5year old, ask does that mean we are lost again mummy? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Must admit I can think of worse places than Rome to be lost in. 😊😊😊
(11:32) love the wood shaker roof work & the cider wall interior, But the upper walls are in yellow pine, fishbone design. the floors are natural cherry
Hiya, Another great video Thank You, I agree with you 100% and NO you're not expecting too much, I'd rather poke my own eyes out than stay on a site like that one. Do your selves a favour and dump the Garmin, I had an XT but went back to TomTom Rider which isn't ideal but I find it much better to live with. I reckon everyone has bad days but you have the bottle to show it when it does go wrong and good for you.
Thanks so much, we always set out to show the reality of motorcycle travel and it’s not always easy… after a day like that we Just wanted peace…. Garmin has been a nightmare on this trip as you’ll see… it’s on its last trip out with us for sure
I know it would be a lot of work, so not something to mash together and edit on the road, but could you do some sort of "summary" videos for your adventures after they are over, with voiceovers for critical information and special experiences? You've already got the footage, you remember the trips, and hindsight is a perspective of experience and wisdom. Think they would be a great addition to the channel for the off-season.
I agree with you, why would you camp there. Thats why they get pissed, you wouldn't stay there sober!! It appears that camping in Europe has its problems. Take care.
Yep, that site looked pretty dire. You were lucky with the police and the keys though so look on the bright side it could have been a really expensive day. Ewa speaks Polish like a native 😂😂😂 I would have someone would have helped you pick the bike up. Onwards and upwards as they say, better luck for the rest of the journey. Yes we do have bad days, I had travelled to nord cap in Norway and did 500 miles in a day, in the car park my legs were so stiff that I couldn’t hold the bike up and it just went over on the side. It happens to us all. Congratulations on the 10k subscribers well deserved.
What a comedy of errors. At least things went to shit in a country that Ewa speako de lingo. Huge congratulations to you both on hitting 10k I'm sure people love the honesty and entertainment of your vids. Keep on keeping on.
Great vid. Yep, wev'e all been there. That's if you do explore countries properly. Dead ends, muddy tracks and shite places to stay. Cannot understand folk who just scream down big roads and look at nothing. Certainly not my scene. See you tommorrow!
It’s interesting how people like to do it so differently, we don’t tend to do the tourist stuff but we like to find the small villages and weird places, things we haven’t experienced before…
Camping in Alberta or British Columbia is most excellent. Especially the National Parks camp sites which are individual, private spots amongst trees with an excellent picnic table and fire pit. The bathroom facilities are usually more than adequate to handle the number of guests which are limited by the number of sites available. People come from all over the world to camp in Canada, especially here in the Rocky Mountains which is where you will find some of the last wilderness on Earth; as in untamed forests full of animals; deer, elk, moose, bears.... Prices are reasonable. You do need a National Parks pass which is good for all the national parks in Canada in order to access the camp grounds.
I love the Africa twin but dropping them is what stops me buying one at 59 and had a hernia it would still be there on it's side, great vids I would love to be able to do a trip like yours👍👍👍
Everyone blames the units and sometimes it can be justified. You also have to look at the way the route was written and on what software etc. You also have a lot of user error going on. You have to put time into route prep to get the most out of it.
I disagree. The sat nav is there to navigate. All I should need is my end destination and pick my settings, avoid motorways and tolls. We are not interested in spending hours picking and plotting roads etc, that’s why I bought the satnav…

Hi Rich and Ewa, made me laugh about campsites. I've run them for years and the reason the parks make money, is because there are plenty of idiots out there wanting to party all day and night. That's why we quit running Touring and Tenting sites. I only use small sites or camping and caravan club sites.
A dry day is a good day on a motorcycle. You handled all that other shit thrown at you very well. Yes, when I used to camp I want quiet. I am 78 now, stay in quiet hotels.
Stop comparing crap campsites with Glastonbury, which is well organised and not full of moany old sods like Rich 😂. You two are the best entertainment on TH-cam at present. ❤👍
@@ontheroadadventure Easy to use, gives you three route choices for any destination and type of route, also easy to adjust the route to suit yourself. Works for me but I have no experience of Garmin.
Rich, Ewa dropping her bike was pay back for her laughing at your wasp sting. You were very gallant to her. You didn't laugh once, well not to camera, but you were very wise to get a few photos just in case ;@). Just saying. Classic with the keys. I was always doing that as a young kid with my grandparents keys. I used to be frisked before I left as it got so bad at one point. I just totally forgot I had them as I would be driving tractors, all sorts of machinery when I visited. My grandad was great like that, but I was useless with keys. Yes I heard quite a few bikers have had problems with Garmin mapping. I myself use Google maps or OSM myself. I have a Garmin bicycle computer but don't rate their mapping at all. Their Basecamp software drives me up the wall. I don't often use it. In fact almost never. In the UK I prefer OS mapping and Google Maps. Your face when Ewa was describing those herring. Priceless. ATB to you both.
Called my wife into sitting room as she has polish TV in bedroom and watched together, she laughed at the 1st camp site as that is normal to her with the noise, they are loud especially once the beer and vodka flows We decided couple weeks ago to go to Zakapana next year so was great to see it. Anna comes from Legionowo a town 10 miles from Warsaw or Warsawa as the proper way of saying it. Impressed with your polish much better than me and I been with Anna for about 8 years but I can swear well in Polish lol Safe travels
Yes the poles like to party! Have you been to a Polish wedding yet? That’s impressive! I have been studying on Duolingo as I want to be able to communicate with Ewa’s family better
No not been to a wedding yet but I hope 1 day with Anna's daughter she has a really nice bf, I love Poland, the country the people Whereabouts is Ewa from?

The bloody garmin has been a nightmare this trip as you’ll see! Endless problems with them here. Ewa’s Welsh is spot on, couldn’t get away with it without her here
Yeah the Garmins ready for the bin. Cardo has been fantastic so far, no issues at all 👍 Far better than the Senas we had before that would fail every time it rained
Unfortunately bad things always happen in threes, I find that if you have one thing happen, it's best just to just crack your shin on your rear pegs twice to make sure you don't have any more problems. Just a bad leg for the day. After a long day's ride, you need peace and quiet a shower and just chill. Not grumpy. Just human. At least you laid it down. It's an Africa twin. Designed for that. Tom Tom ain't much better.....

Guys, are your simply using the Nav with start to end routes or planning on a laptop etc with waypoints and uploading to the garmin? Cheers
We simply put in the end location, avoid motorway and tolls. The garmin keep stitching us right up in Europe, works well in the uk though
What a day we feel your pain 1st campsite was terrible agreed the 2nd was way better
We have learned to just move on in stead of trying to to make it work and suffer it always works out better that way
what a nice day you had! why don't you use google maps all the time that is not only updated but also shows traffic? it takes really little of data on the phone. on top of that you can always download the map once you have access to wifi and if there is no coverage in the places, it will navigate you using offline maps. I would never trust old fashion maps on SD card or so from Garmin or whoever else
Yep we are looking to make that work again for us, the garmin has been Hopeless 😩
Great video glad all was ok in the end 😂
It always works out in the end… we hope 🤣
love you two
Cheers bud ☺️☺️
Lays crisps are an American brand and they and Walker crisp are owned by Pepsi Cola. I have Lays when visiting friends in California they taste quite similar to Walkers but not quite the same. We all have off days when travelling - my classic is to get the wrong bus and going miles out of my way only to have to find my way back. That can be quite fun in a country where they speak English let alone somewhere they do not. 🙀🙀🙀🙀🙀
That is something Ewa did in Rome once when left alone! Ewa will always get lost if left alone lol
Ohh dear 🤣
Doesn't your nav gives you all the campgrounds around? That's how we used to find them.
Nice nails job and the color :).
Yes they do, if they locate it properly! Google maps is bests, will even find nail salons anywhere in the world it seems 🤣
(11:32) love the wood shaker roof work & the cider wall interior, But the upper walls are in yellow pine, fishbone design. the floors are natural cherry
Beautiful work of art. The effortless build it must be immense
A great suggestion 👍 Perhaps we will do that when the rainy UK returns!
Was funny glad your ok i go on my own that’s y best two go so you can help each other
Yes definitely, we couldn’t do what we do without each other and teamwork
I agree with you, why would you camp there. Thats why they get pissed, you wouldn't stay there sober!! It appears that camping in Europe has its problems. Take care.
We were told camping in Europe is better than the uk but we have to disagree
I wish rest of the night went well, just careful to check your fuel as it seems you running low at the end.
Yes thanks these Africa twins are amazingly accurate on the fuel range, I’d trust it down to 10 miles
Thanks so much, we like you guys watch so much TH-cam and it’s rare you see other people arrive at sites like this it’s always perfect tranquility 😂
What a comedy of errors. At least things went to shit in a country that Ewa speako de lingo.
Huge congratulations to you both on hitting 10k I'm sure people love the honesty and entertainment of your vids. Keep on keeping on.
Thanks so much Tony, yes Ewa has been particularly useful to keep with me in Poland 😂
I wouldn’t camp at them crappie sites myself, I like peace and quiet and chill out!
So glad we aren’t being princesses! We just want somewhere quiet to rest and go, not be surrounded by drunks, might aswell camp in the high street
Lovely tended graves but turn a blind eye when Ewa drops her bike🤔
We guess they thought we had it under control
What a beautiful area. Great drone shots 👍👍! Random question… where’s Ewa getting her nails done? She take her manicure set on the travels? 😂😂😂😂
Ewa says there’s no excuse to have bad nails! She did it in Zakopane
@@ontheroadadventure 😂👍
Great vid. Yep, wev'e all been there. That's if you do explore countries properly. Dead ends, muddy tracks and shite places to stay. Cannot understand folk who just scream down big roads and look at nothing. Certainly not my scene. See you tommorrow!
It’s interesting how people like to do it so differently, we don’t tend to do the tourist stuff but we like to find the small villages and weird places, things we haven’t experienced before…
10,000👏
Thank you!! We are well chuffed!
That is defo on our todo list!
We use Tom Tom it's a lot more reliable. We did use Garmin and ended up shouting at each...lol
We can’t be dealing with Garmin anymore, as you’ll see in coming episodes it’s been a liability in Europe
Ha😂 we call those Garmin / Google maps “magical mystery tours” I’ve had them with both
I don’t mind a mystery tour but we can’t magic up the roads
Got my mod 2 on monday got my fingers crossed i pass cant wait to be road legal
Best of luck bud!! Let us know how you get on!
She comes in handy with the lingo😂
Yeah she’s got her uses…
How often do you do your motorcycle chain because just see you ride lol
I check the bikes daily, clean and adjust as and when needed. I carry all the kit I need for maintenance
I love the Africa twin but dropping them is what stops me buying one at 59 and had a hernia it would still be there on it's side, great vids I would love to be able to do a trip like yours👍👍👍
They are not the easiest to pick up for sure!
Tomtom sat nav everytime 😊😊😊😅😅
Garmin is finished for us now
TomTom only way to go
Everyone blames the units and sometimes it can be justified.
We will have to try one, never used Tom Tom
No way i would of concidered even riding in that campsite adv riding isnt about city riding here in australia we camp explore not a bad upload cheers
Thanks so much. Do you wild camp there? I guess there’s so much space it’s not a problem? Are animals a issue camping wild in Oz?
@@ontheroadadventure only crocks snaks spiders and odd drop bear on my last upload my mate i ride with had a head on he did own a late model african twin had a look a good day it can changed in seconds keep safe ...if you like it share it as a safety warning for everyone cheers guys
Sounds exciting! Will take a look
Croc on.🏍
Cheers 🍻
Hi Rich and Ewa, made me laugh about campsites. I've run them for years and the reason the parks make money, is because there are plenty of idiots out there wanting to party all day and night. That's why we quit running Touring and Tenting sites. I only use small sites or camping and caravan club sites.
We try to find the small ones, farms etc tend to be quiet and nice for us
Eva: we slept in a bed
Rich: It was amazing
Eva: rumbles on as we don't cover that subject 😂
Say no more… 🤣
@@ontheroadadventure rich forget the return the key, Ewa dropped her bike. It's been a while, doesn't it :p
Love your show, guys!
Things always return back to normal 🤣
A dry day is a good day on a motorcycle. You handled all that other shit thrown at you very well. Yes, when I used to camp I want quiet. I am 78 now, stay in quiet hotels.
No one else ever seems to show the reality of these campsites when travelling, nothing worse than being kept up by drunks all night
Stop comparing crap campsites with Glastonbury, which is well organised and not full of moany old sods like Rich 😂. You two are the best entertainment on TH-cam at present. ❤👍
That’s a fair point mate, I never been to Glastonbury because I know it would be like this! I’m far to old and grumpy for that now 🤣🤣🤣
I'll stick with the TomTom then !!😂
What do you like about TomTom, we have not used one before
@@ontheroadadventure Easy to use, gives you three route choices for any destination and type of route, also easy to adjust the route to suit yourself. Works for me but I have no experience of Garmin.
We will definitely be leaving garmin behind and trying something new
Nobody goes to crowded places, they all go to the quiet ones.
I took The Road Less Travelled but it was like the M25.
lol the quiet places are ruined as soon as people find out about it
Like Stelvio…
We are fast thinking to go back to Google maps, garmin has lost our faith…
Honda tired, lays down for a nap…
Again 🤣
Called my wife into sitting room as she has polish TV in bedroom and watched together, she laughed at the 1st camp site as that is normal to her with the noise, they are loud especially once the beer and vodka flows
We decided couple weeks ago to go to Zakapana next year so was great to see it.
Anna comes from Legionowo a town 10 miles from Warsaw or Warsawa as the proper way of saying it.
Impressed with your polish much better than me and I been with Anna for about 8 years but I can swear well in Polish lol
Safe travels
Yes the poles like to party! Have you been to a Polish wedding yet? That’s impressive! I have been studying on Duolingo as I want to be able to communicate with Ewa’s family better
No not been to a wedding yet but I hope 1 day with Anna's daughter she has a really nice bf, I love Poland, the country the people
Whereabouts is Ewa from?
Niedawno wróciłem z ukraińskiego Zakarpacia, to dopiero wspaniałe tereny!
27:20 You should upgrade your bushcraft skills. It is really usefull. (just saying)
You’re probably right!
What a shit hole that camp site was lads . FFS not in this day and age . You did the right thing moving on . I think that that was a wife swaping site lol . Lots of drink and then wa hoo. lol. The second site was more like it . Great stream both . Take care 👍👍👍❤
Haha maybe!! I ain’t swapping mine! Won’t get my poached eggs in the morning!!
Damn lucky that Ewa speaks welsh! To be fair =Ewa you placed it down gently., we've all done it (or will at some point). The video was as entertaining as ever. Top job guys. I just hope she doesn't let your airbed down tonight Rich. Should have called it shat- navs and campshites
The bloody garmin has been a nightmare this trip as you’ll see! Endless problems with them here. Ewa’s Welsh is spot on, couldn’t get away with it without her here
@@ontheroadadventure my Tomtom is just as bad!
GoogleMaps it is then
Yep..that campsite would have made me run. No good features. Good move.
Yep we have learnt not to try to get on with it but to go to the next one and we are always thankful we did
Crappy day…BUT you’ve got each other 😉eh!
Rubbish garmin unit….what do you reckon to your Cardo system?
Yeah the Garmins ready for the bin. Cardo has been fantastic so far, no issues at all 👍 Far better than the Senas we had before that would fail every time it rained
I prefer Google maps
We are fast coming to that conclusion too
Just to top it off didn't no wether to like your video or not 🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣 Cheers pal lol
Never LIKE lol. someone dropping there bike 😂 but glad it was OK in the end 👍🏼
Yeah the bikes have the barkbusters and crash bars so small drops are no issue
I love how Ewa tries to be diplomatic and you just say it how it is.
Yeah no filters on me I’m afraid
@@ontheroadadventuregood to hear, I'm same, my mouth always getting me into trouble ,
Yes! Always 🤣
(28:54) well, you know the old rule, if it smells like fish don't eat it ( demonetized ) Good night Guys, Love ya"
Love ya bye!
Bikes =gravel do not mix😮
Same result each time lol
Great , enjoyable video , keep them coming ... Thanks.
Thanks, will do!
Thanks, we feel some times maybe we are being dramatic or too picky but we just can’t bare these noisy drunks all night at campsites
@@ontheroadadventure I don't drink. So I totally get what you're saying.
Nothing worse than being sober hanging around drunks
