    The Fuji Xpro2 is in my opinion one of the best valued Digital Cameras in 2021. It's a couple years old now but still competes with some of the newer Fuji Models. it's a great budget camera and also an amazing alternative for film shooters who want quality without busting the bank. In this video I give you 5 reason why you should choose the Xpro 2 even in 2021.

      I don’t have gas so it don’t bother me none. I used to and I saw real quickly it wasn’t the gear you had that made better photos. I sold off about a dozen cameras and gave some away to friends and settled on one system with a few primes and I’m good for now.

    I've owned my X-Pro2 since the end of 2016 and I still use it to this day. In fact it is sitting right next to me on my desk as I write this.
    It is a solid build and solid performer, and that shutter sound, oh so smooth and sweet. I have five other X cameras but the X-Pro2 is my main camera and I never feel I need an upgrade. That is how fantastic this camera performs. I also use it to back up my X-H1 on photoshoots without missing a beat, and I love the fact that I can save battery power by using the OVF even when you are focusing in the studio under modeling lights of your strobes.

    KJ, nice video. My own personal experience, as owner of both the XPro-2 and a Leica M10R, I can tell you the XP is in many ways superior to the 10R, specially if you’re a straight-out-of camera JPG shooter, are in a hurry, or want to feel relax about you equipment not getting busted. Plus the user experience on the XPro-2 is somewhat similar, yet easier. All to say that there’s really no need to spend $10K+ on Leica, nor $2K on XP3, when the XP2 can do mostly the same, and sometimes excel over said models...

    Been using XP2 since soon after it came out. I'm not nearly done with this camera. I do come from Leica film cameras and I do use the Summicron 35 and 50 on the Fuji and they do work very well. I ended up owning the 23 f2 and its a good lens as is the 50 f2. But the 23 1.4 though big and not weather sealed is one of the best lenses I've ever used. If you get your hands on one I think you will like it if you can get over its size. The way it handles light is amazing.

      Can you speak more to your experience with the manual focus Leica lenses paired with your Fuji? Do you use focus peaking or do you zone focus? Do you use the electronic viewfinder or the optical?

    • @barryfisher4734
      @barryfisher4734 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Rafa-yw8nu Funny you ask as I have one the 35 f2 on the camera now.. I use focus peaking. Yyou can use zone, and if using closed down aperture like 8-11 it's there, but I never really trust it and tend to focus the camera anyways. I tend to shoot more wide open as I think the lens is optimal at f4-8. If you get the focus right, the Leica lenses take nice pics. Very good contrast and nice out of focus areas when wide open or close to it. I tend to use the EV over the optical, but you can use the optical with the EV spot which if you can get use to it, works well and then you have a system that emulates a rangefinder system very well.

    I'd go with an X-e3 - cheaper but newer sensor, than x-pro2 touch screen, range-finder feel. Same lens on an x-pro3 would give exactly the same photo x-e3 so unless the optical view finder really matters to you then save your money to spend on better lenses.

I enjoy the Leica more and head to head I prefer the files from it, but sometimes I feel “lazy”and don’t feel like thinking while using the Leica. Shooting at a shutter speed which is a different interval then your lighting pulse.
      For normal (i.e. old-fashioned lights) this could be 50hz or 60hz depending on location (so shooting 1/25 while being in a 60hz country is bound to cause problems)
      If working with led-lights these could also have a pulse, sometimes in the range of thousands or ten-thousands times per second. If your shutter-speed doesn't line up, you get stuff like this.
