I have a 2018 street bob with a TBR two in one exhaust, screaming eagle stage two kit with a torque cam, I installed the cruise control kit, Memphis shades, T bar set up, Saddleman step up seat, Sissy bar and a set of Viking bags. Street bobs are so great because it’s a perfect start if you are wanting to do a lot of custom work to it and make it the way you want it. I traveled across the United States twice on my bike and surprisingly it wasn’t bad
Nice.. I have a 2 month new 2021 Streetbob with 114 and a bunch of upgrades, thats for sale. Bought it for the wife and she chose a 2009 XL1200L instead.. I just put video of it on my channel..
Man, I’ve got the 883 and I like to travel back and forth from where I live now to my home town about 75 miles of highway. The 883 does 70-75 before it starts complaining (at least mine does and it’s stock) which is perfectly fine for me. But.....it’s not a highway bike by any means and it’s very windy here in Oklahoma and I get blown all over the place. I was thinking about the street bob for the highway and the extra weight, 100lbs. I was worried about the around town aspect however due to that extra weight, but sounds like it’s no problem at all. Awesome. Now if I can convince my wife that this is the way to go? Wish me luck.
I hear ya! I personally did get more power with my 883 with a stage 1 but even still, anything over 85 felt like I was choking the bike. Still capable though (see previous videos of me ripping the highway on my 883) if you do upgrade to the Softail street bob it is def a good choice. Try and go test ride one for yourself! Good luck convincing the wifey brotha

Lmao a lot of people here including myself went from an 883 to a street Bob. I think we just love the cruiser/softtail platform but just wanted the power of a road glide without the bulk. I’m a stocky medium sized dude. 5’10” and 200lbs. I loved the 883 but got bored quick and figured I would with a 1200. After some asshole tried fixing my 883 and it ran worse than it did after he butchered it. I traded in for the 114 streetbob. It fucks. My only gripe is the 3.5 gallon tank. Other than that I can get another one if I want but for now I’m more than content. Happy riding y’all.
I upgraded from a 2021 Iron 1200 to a 2024 FXBB StreetBob 114. Disregarding the difference in torque, the first 5 gears are (to me) exactly the same RPM & MPH as the Iron 1200, but then...... there's that 6th gear the Iron 1200 lacks and (to me) that separates the two bikes from a great commuter to a great commuter/cruiser.
Agree with all your comments. Just picked up a 2021 SB from an 883 but I just kept my 2016 Iron. I am also 5.6 and like the stock seat height, thinking of the Saddleman Solo seat to retain the seat height have you seen or heard about that seat? Also considering the Kodlin lowering kit if my seat is too high.
Hi Iron J Moto, I am a daily commuter on a 2020 Street Bob and I love it. Sold my FLH 1200 and crashed my Iron 883... So now turning my street bob into club style which is not very common in the Netherlands where I live. I am about your size (few pounds extra😂). Right now I want to change the stock mini apes into risers. You mention that you have 8 inch risers. Do you now the brand? I m looking for the whole thing, pull back risers, bar and top clamp with the relocation set. Very hard to find here in the Netherlands.... You would be very helpful!

I'm 5'6" as well and I went with bung kings 8 inch pullback risers with 2 inches of pullback and thrashin supply mid bend bars on my softail standard. The end height is 12inches, didn't need to change brake n clutch cable. It's higher than the stock mini apes, keep in mind I also have a saddlemen stepup steat

@@royhendriks786 thrashin supply also had a high bend bar but I went with the mid bend bar because it had more pullback for some reason lol plus the high bend bar added like 5 inches of height. Plus thrashin supply was 30inch width. The stock mini apes, tip to tip was like 34 width. Yeah I went with bassani' newer road rage short "ripper" stainless steel 2into 1 exhaust. It's loud af, and screams in higher rpms, like 3k or higher but it's nice for cruising, but not too quiet. I had Vance&Hines big radius on my iron 1200 and they were waaaaaaaaay too loud, 20mins and my ears were ringing. I'm on the east coast of the US and we don't have any problems with exhaust. I know California is really strict with that stuff though. Oh yeah I also bought 1fngr's easy pull clutch and matching brake level. Crazy how light it is

Many of us upgrade from the 883 to the Street Bob. You will not be disappointed.
I upgraded from the 883 to the 21 street bob. Payment was 64$ extra. Get the deal you want, not the one the dealership wants
