Remember seeing these guys as the open for Ratt and I think Fastway in 1984/85 at the Richmond Coliseum in Va.General Admission.Back in the days before camera phones ruined the concert experience.Shit security would hunt you down if had a regular camera in your hands.I think i still have a photo from 1987 of George lynch playing in Dokken(opening for Aerosmith) my friend Dave took which really pissed of security a lot more than George.Slightly dark and grainy but man that pose and GL's facial expression F$#@!! PRICELESS!It's cool in a way people can film and have access to concerts and offstage footage now but that takes away some of the mystique about a band when you had to see them live to get an idea what they were like.
Scorpions, Quiet Riot, Helix, Kick Axe played CNE grandstand in 1984. I enjoyed Quiet Riot videos and went because I thought that I wanted to see these guys live and I was thoroughly underwhelmed. Thankfully the scorpions, kick axe, and helix were awesomerrr!
@@AlexanderTheGreat91 quiet riot covered two songs of slades because they were forced to by the label. they wouldnt have gotten their record deal if they didnt do the covers because they wanted them to be the main songs of their album. but the songs quiet riot made were much better. metal health bang your head , condition critical are the albums and both title tracks are amazing. they made some of the best metal songs of all time including their ballads. kevin dubrow is the most underrated metal singer of all time he could sing in so many different ways. thunderbird,dont wanna let you go, winner takes all,condition critical , metal health, lets get crazy all great songs. they were far beyond slade. slade didnt make it in america but they may have if they were in the 80s but quiet riot crashed right through opening for people like ozzy and well respected by gods like dio

Just as the USA refered to as The United States, rather than being called America, as America is the continent. Also when peoplle say they're from Ireland I don't assume that part if Ireland.

First concert, Decatur IL Civic Center they opened for Ratt, one great concert.
I got to see them open for Twisted Sister and RATT,in 84' in Corpus Christi, TX.
Saw the Pat McManus band in Spain a few weeks ago, still got it.....bloody excellent!
I had the pleasure of seeing them live in a small town in Ireland many many years ago they were Awesome!
