Curious about the pin striped effect on the undersides of the wings. Shouldn't those stripes be darker, rather than lighter, than the rest of the wing, since that's the place where the wing frame would be blocking out sunlight from above?
Hi Paul, from my understanding this effect will be on the full linen plane, if it was painted the space inside the wing (between upper and lower linen) will give some shade and a bit darker color, but on the stripes there will be no such shade. Also, you can see sunlight coming through the wing during the sunny day, but what about cloudy days? lol ;-) Anyway, I saw modelers use both effects, so I do not think that either effect is wrong.
Another amazing build from the Master Model builder. The Pepper Mint candy stripe paint job is EPIC! How did you get rid of the overspray? Love your work...I have this same model but I think I will go with a safer paint scheme...
Thank you Phil, Master Model builder - lol. I had a very little amount of oversapray on that model - preparation is very crucial part of any paint job. Once I removed masks, I applied them again and using a low pressure corrected overspray with white paint. I believe that you can do it as well, just take your time with masks and all preparation for paining, good luck with your project!!!

Aksa, What did the Shading on the underside of the wings do for you?
on the bottom side there is only one layer of blue paint, so it could be possible, in my opinion
Lovely job! I bet all that masking tape cost almost as much as the kit!!!
Thanks, about masking tape, I used less than one roll, which cost me around $8 and the kit is around $40, so you would lose you bet, lol
