I like the soundtracks just fine, but hey added in some new tracks, and the ones I've been hearing, or more accrual the "one" I've been hearing, i don't care for it.

dots Well to me the best soundtracks, specifically for the PS1 was Wipeout through Wipeout 3, mash those together in a Wipeout game, and you don't need to worry about the new games soundtrack
Fact about me: I only buy Playstation Consoles for the Wipeout. The moment Omega came into my life, I bought a PS4Pro.

Wipeout fan since my first PC. Then PS1 and PS3... These games immerse you in another world and reality. It's what gaming is all about!
A 10 year old game with improved textures and high resolution and it STILL looks brand-new!
even 5 years ago when you commented. this game was 20 years old. WipeOut first came out in 1995 for PC dos and playstation.

For anyone wondering why the gameplay looks so slow, it's because the demo is being played on the "Venom" class(easy) which is the slowest of the classes. Look up some PS3 gameplay on "Phantom" class and you will see the difference.

Faisal Almaiman it will change the gameplay and no one need it. Wipeout its just the best ag racer ever created bad its only on console but we must live with it i still play wipeout hd on my old ps3 and its still the great fun. Changeing to an cyborg while tryharding in this game is great feeling.

You can handle phantom but it takes a lot of practice, and you end up better than autopilot lol

It'll be the same as HD and Fury were on Vita. Tracks were there but the music not.

Amazing game. I am playing it right now. This is perfection and must have for Ps4 and Ps4 pro. True challenge. Please support devs and this masterpiece so Sony will reconsider making a sequel. Buy this please.

Wow, I thought this looked ridiculously slow and sluggish. Then I looked at some Phantom speed class gameplay. THAT is what I was after. A racing game that makes you press your back against the chair.
Was your capture compressing the audio a lot or does it sound like they are going with the original PS1/2/3 source for the music?
Fun Fact: The music is the same from that scene from the movie Hackers when they are playing Wipeout at some club.
So glad this is getting a physical release for PS4. It'll mark the first time WipEout HD + Fury will be available for retail pick-up in North America.

Ever heard of progression? You start slow and work your way up to the faster classes.
Well to be frank, I thought Wipeout was always *fast*. Rose-tinted glasses, perhaps? **shrug**
or the Zone mode. The game gets ridiculously fast after a while in there

You know you're a wipEout fan when you notice the demo speed is on venom (lowest speed class out of 4 speed classes in the game with phantom class being the fastest), when it comes to differences though, lighting effects definitely feel brighter than it was in HD Fury, otherwise its still got the same clean and gritty aesthetic that's just a bit more detailed. I would like to see some gameplay from 2048, because that would look great in 4K.
Wipeout was one of my most loved games on the PSP, then I got a PSVITA with wipeout 2048 and the dlc, and now the whole thing comes to PS4? holy shit I love it!

I like how they reused the good ol' HUD from WipEout HD. It looks better compared than the HUD from 2048 (canonically the first game in the series).

Amazing game. For me one of the best ps exclusives. But I haven't seen single good trailer to promote this beauty. It's sad that a lot of people didn't hear about wipeout serie. They don't know what they're missing.
also, YES they have the unremixed version of The Prodigy - Invaders Must Die!. Sure the remix in 2048 was pretty good too, but it's cool they have the original version here too.

Java Red: You mean Zone mode, right? Its basically confirmed at this point. Ever since Fusion, Zone mode has been in every WipEout game, excluding the PS Home minigame.

The test of hardware technology has always been the standard for wipeout! 4K in its greatness beauty, with minor tweaks in an "old" games. I hope this is just a. warm up for a upcoming fresh wipeout. For convinience (i own all wipeout titles) and for historic perspective it could include (at least) the original trilogy. I'm waiting for more!

I wish they put more importance and impact on the certain teams and companies you can race for. Instead of just picking a ship, have a bit of fictional history behind it to build more of an identity behind each ship or maybe even drivers. Like F-Zero in that sense.
