  • 🦠 *We modify pathogens for use as drugs*.
In our lab, we grow very small bacteria called Mycoplasma*. We do something magical with them, we give them a secret DNA recipe! So, these super-bacteria are able to reach the lungs and produce medicines to help them when they are sick. When antibiotics don't work on bacteria like Pseudomonas that hide behind biofilms in the lungs, the Mycoplasma spring into action to *help the lungs to be healthy.

*BCN Dance your Science: Let's move science!
The Barcelona Biomedical Research Park (PRBB) decided to combine dance and science to help the centre's scientific teams explain their research.
In 5 acts, on 21 November, the scientists (and now also dancers) took to the stage of the SAT! (Sant Andreu Teatre) and showed us that science and dance can go hand in hand.
