I have never rocked scorpion until today. Had him T Rex/Poodle buffed all the way to 50/50. Way nastier than I expected.

That scorpion was a galaxy brain hard read. He knew only a lead rhino + snake could take him out and made the ultimate play.

@@kokko9507 sheep with bee in position 4 means one of the spawns is blocked, and he had lvl 2 turkey, meaning he lost out on a buffed bee, and he lost by 1 hp in a few of those combats

He also messed up numerous times buying things as upgrades instead of separately and then combining to get the horse or turkey buff that run. That was an easy 10 win run if he would slow down and think more deeply about mechanics lol

NL please protect your core engine with melon armor. If you ran into one more snake, it was doomed.
Exactly what I wanted to post. You specifically want melon armor / 1-ups on tiger / turkey, since you instantly lose if either of them die to a snipe.
A real gamer never gets sniped.
NL overvalues ox so hard and undervalues kangaroo, seeing him roll past kanga's better scaling w single melon just to have an ox getting triple melon hurts.

Just started playing yesterday and through the power of a giraffe/turkey, dodo, rooster, deer, and a scorpion took me to my first ten wins. Your videos have been a lot of help
I got the Inventor hat and Snowy background, so I've been focusing on getting the achievements for level three animals, even at the cost of wins. Squirrel was the hardest. But, I mention it now because I just had a run where I got the stickers for level 3 Mammoth, Parrot, AND Snake, AND I got out of it with a 10-piece. Mammoth with 1-Up giving +12/+12 to all, Parrot with Snake power dealing 15 damage every time Mammoth attacks, then Ox with pre-game melon armor, then Snake. Yeah, a four-man squad won my tenth victory.
Nice work. I've been doing the same. Feels fun to try out the less desirable units and see how they can shine. It's a shame that some are almost completely pointless to upgrade because you really just have bank on another unit carrying while you get some lucky rolls.
Level 3 tiger has been hardest for me. It appears so late that you either end up getting 10 wins before you can reach level 3, or you invest so hard in pointless upgrades to the tiger that other squads start to massively outscale you.
@@Michael-sh1fb Yeah, all the level 6 ones are hard to an extent, and Tiger doesn't get you anything out of leveling it.

As the series goes on I feel like the misplays go up. It's like he doesn't even see the store half the time now. Complains about not being able to level and continually skips animals that would level him, or uses a chocolate on an animal when he has the exact animal for purchase.

When will NL realize that purchasing a unit frees up the spot for a level-up unit to appear? And when will he learn that the shop always makes room regardless?
Maybe it's changed now but at some point the shop only had one overflow slot.
@@Khepriem perhaps, I swear I've seen the food move over to accommodate a second overflow but I could be mistaken.
@@LinkFitz I just know that I've lost a unit that way before when leveling up two at once, and I've seen it happen to NL as well. But it's been awhile so it's very possible we're both right and they patched it recently.

This games RNG is pretty much what decides your run. Early hippo, it's a 10 piece. If not, you have to play a different game. Badger, inherently bad animal got me a dub at lvl 2 great counter to scorpion, if you got a trash penguin behind it.
