Yes this is from the same concert. This was the 6th dong performed, Domination was the 22nd song. If you want to hear the other songs from this concert, they are "Choose Me", "Wonderland", and "Play"
Yes, the bass used in this song is a custom built SG Style, built for her by Black Cloud, who makes all of her basses. This was only the second concert she had used that particular bass for. She switched back to her regular Black Smoker Bass, as the SG style bass was suffering from neck dive. She still ha the bass but it has been re-necked to reduce neck dive.
And many people feel that Bocchi The Rock is partially based on Band-Maid.
And when Miku is singing her verse, you will notice Kanami sitting in front of one of Miku's monitor wedges and smiling at her. The previous day Miku had messed up her verse and sung Saiki's line instead of her own. And ever since then, Kanami and on occasion Saiki and MISA will stare at Miku while she sings her verse to mess with her. Basically they are just having fun on stage trolling Miku for a few seconds.
And Freedom is the one song that will make me smile no matter what. It is just so infectious and fun.
And as Julia Nilon has said, Akane is the happiest ray of sunshine EVER. And while Akane is doing her drum solo, all of the other Ladies either sat down or took a knee and were cheering her own and hyping up the audience to respond more. And they all tie in, in unison to transition to the solo.
And if you listen carefully to MISA's bass line, she isn't playing a standard bass line. She is actually playing a Lead bass line, while Kanami the lead guitarist, other than her solo is basically playing the rhythm guitar part and Miku the rhythm guitarist spends most of the song tied into the kick drum like a bass would normally be. And this isn't the only song they do that with.
When the band first started, Miku couldn't play guitar, so as she started to learn, they kept her parts very simple. To cover for that however, MISA was asked to fill in the areas that Miku's guitar was missing. Which still continues to this day, however, Miku is now a very skilled rhythm guitarist and does play some lead parts, she is usually tied in to the drums, while Kanami and MISA are exploring their fretboards. Their newest release which really shows that is their instrumental "from now on" Kanami is basically singing with her guitar the entire song, with MISA as her backing vocalist and Miku and Akane taking care of the rhythm.

Thank you so much for all the information, I just love the fact that they all have fun in that way and don't really care if someone messes up, Also I did notice the Misa bass line and the fact that they both were playing rhythm which I have to say, I found really cool is something you rarely see on other bands I love how much room the bass is given at least in the 2 songs I've listened so far.

'many people feel that Bocchi The Rock is partially based on Band-Maid'
      I thought so too.
The lead guitarist is teaching the side guitar that the side guitarist can't play at first.
The members also seem to have similar personalities, etc.
Their names are taken from other JRock bands, so it's probably a mix of things.

Since 2016 all of Misa's basses have been made by Black Cloud in various classic styles- Fender Jazz, Gibson SG (this one) and more recently Fender Jaguar, all 5 strings. Great reaction, thanks. Yes, Misa is a genius on the bass.

You have a new subscriber, and deserve more. Nice one. You said you're into progressive rock and metal. Band-Maid definitely has more progressive tracks so it'll be fun when you find them. The Japanese rock and metal rabbit hole is deep and most of them tend to meander between or mix genres. There's a lot of progressive rock/metal sprinkled in. It'll also be fun to see where you go next. I'll leave band suggestions for the next reaction because there's plenty of Band-Maid to get to first!

Gotta love band-maid :) Such fun wonderful people- who also happen to all be incredible musicians :) Hope you keep doing more- they have SO many amazing songs- in many different styles!
Youve not seen much variety yet- but they have very pop influenced songs, punk, metal, prog, etc as well as just rock or any mix of all those and more! Not many bands has as much song variety as band-maid! Try maybe the official live of onset- their first big and much loved instrumental? Or one of their great music videos? Certain songs fans will all recommend you do the MVs to even tho they are amazing live - such as Warning, Blooming, Daydreaming, Dice, Manners, Different, Rinne, Sense - to name most of the bigger ones :)

Misa uses Black Cloud basses, in Domination she was using her fender jazz body style 'black smoker' her main bass at that time, in Freedom it's her SG body style bass. Since then she has unveiled two new weapons, first a distressed dirty yellow fender jazz body style bass which became her 1 and 'black smoker' became 2. Her newest is a jaguar body style sunburst and the yellow bass seems to be her no.2 now.

i don't know if anyone else has commented on this but Misa doesn't like to wear shoes during songs (she will do if she needs to) as she is more comfortable without and she has also said in interviews that it helps to feel the drums through the stage that helps her predict the beat and synchronize with the drums better. this is where the Bare Foot Assassin Maid comes from

    • @VelcroReacts

did you notice that all the way through the drum solo she keeps time superbly and it is correct the band often try to put akane off her rhythm by trying to make her laugh, if you do a reaction to "BAND-MAID / Play (Official Live Video)" note that at 2min 40 saiki goes to akane the drummer and tries putting her off by making faces at her only for akane to pull faces back making saiki giggle through her next set of lines.
play is a good one to react to as it was originally an instrumental piece but saiki liked it so much she bullied Miku to wright lyrics for them to sing as she wanted to join in, miku agreed but wanted to make sure the crowd could join as well, this is kind of where her shouting "SAY" started

Watch 'thrill' their first video and a song written for them, then 'From now on' the very last song released and written by them. that will give you a good grasp of their growth. Still sounds like harmonics to me, and not harmonies. Speaking of anime, check out their song, 'Unleash', where they are anime characters. Or, 'Glory' where they were commissioned to do the theme for Yu-Gi-Oh VRAINS. And, though I realize you're new to BAND-MAID, someone should have told you, you're not supposed to interrupt solos, especially Kanami's. There's even a T-Shirt on it based on the old THX Sound motto. It says, "Shut Up! Kanami Is Speaking." That's because she seldom sings, so that's her time to shine. And yes, everyone, or almost everyone, falls in love with MISA. She is the most popular member, in their fan polls, by far. I think they cut back on her solos and got rid of her bangs just to give the other girls a sporting chance
